  1. The 864 is filled in by my husband. I filled in everything else because this is my adjustment of status, so my paperwork. I just doublecheck his stuff because two pairs of eyes is better than one. He just didn't read the instructions as well as I hoped, which caused the RFE to happen. Edit: As for the signature etc being correct, yes this was correct when we filed. Everything was correct outside of me adding a W2, hence my confusion on what exactly went wrong, but thankfully this community is really helpful
  2. Yeah mine took a few days to come, I think it arrived 4 days after I saw it in the account? But as long as you see when and fill in that form on the second page, you're good
  3. The only thing I want to add is that you don't need it IF the box on the DS-3025 was marked that says you completed the vaccinations.. Without seeing the DS-3025, it's hard to say if they did that or not. But if you gotten all vaccinations etc, there's no reason for them not to have marked that.
  4. Kinda funny you got your access before the receipts, mine was the other way around haha
  5. Like an acceptance for your 485? No that’s not true
  6. I do have one! I just had to double check with my husband as he filed them when I was asleep. So those are ready to be sent. I just need to make sure that they’re complete like you mentioned. And thank you for explaining the difference, I guess the language barrier popped out there since in Dutch it would be ‘oh you can use either’
  7. Yeah I wish I read it more thoroughly now. So that sucks. But honestly, the instructions are so vague in my opinion. Like this for example, regarding current income: 'For example, you may include a recent letter from your employer, showing your employer’s address and telephone number, and indicating your annual salary. You may also provide pay stubs showing your income for the previous six months.' I read the 'you may also' as you can do them mutually exclusively, not have to do both. But that might be me being foreign? I don't know. I think I won't use the paystubs, because I'll have to get the letter and that's just gonna take time (plus I have to let my husband do it and I hate not doing it myself) so I'll use the complete tax return copy. I'll look into what that will be, because I currently only have the tax return transcript with like 6 pages. I don't want to mess this up.
  8. He filed the taxes last weekend, so I didn't have them at the time of filing, but I do now, so that's why I didn't add it then. I'll take some time to reread I-864, the last time I read it was in January (and skimmed it earlier), so I might've missed something. But we didn't add the paystubs before, so that's probably why I didn't save the info on the EVL. Thanks for your help, it's hard to read through all of it when you're disappointed lol
  9. So if I add the paystubs, I should calculate the income with that. If I don't, I should grab the number from the 2024 tax return, right?
  10. What would the letter state? Because he’s paid hourly, not salary, so it’s based on his location etc, if they move him to another site (security), so I’m not sure if they can even give a number for it
  11. Alright, that’ll take some work then. Because he gets paid biweekly and the number is so different each paycheck. This is just so confusing. 😪
  12. So should I base the current income on the paystubs or on the tax returns for 2024?
  13. I don't even know what he based it on. He filled in 39k and it ended up being 42 something. I guess he .. guessed?
  14. Nothing in particular. It just states what I mentioned above and then how to file a I-864.
  15. I would've added those if the taxes were filed already, which in January (when we first filed) they hadn't yet.. It sucks they do that!
  16. He's sending me all the transcripts rn, it did get accepted. Do I need account or return transcripts? But I'm guessing the number mismatch might be why. I'll check that
  17. He filed them like last weekend, so I'm not sure if it's been accepted.. I'll ask though. Should I add the paystubs and the letter if he has filed those?
  18. I'm so tired of this process. I double check everything, and then we get a freaking RFE. So the RFE is for: 'Based on the documents submitted, we could not determine that the petitioning sponsor on Form I-864, Affidavit of Support, is qualified. In order to be a qualified sponsor, the petitioning sponsor's Form I-864 must be properly completed and signed, and the supporting documents must establish that the petitioning sponsor's income meets 125 percent of the federal poverty guideline for the sponsor’s household size. See Form I-864P for information on the Federal Poverty Guidelines.' What we submitted with the 864 is: · Form I-864 - Affidavit of Support, under Section 213 of the INA (Signed by Sponsor) · Proof of my US Citizenship (Copy of Passport Biographic Page) · Copy of my W2 for 2024 · Copies of my IRS transcripts for the previous tax year - 2023 (5 Pages) What am I missing???? I am just completely clueless and I don't know where it went wrong. I tried so hard to make sure everything was perfect and ofcourse we get a freaking RFE.
  19. Way less interesting than I hoped hahha, thankyou!!
  20. Thankyou!!! Now I just wait for my online access code!! Also, do the letters in the front of the receipt # mean something like with the K1 cases?
  21. We technically refiled on the 5th! We already got our receipt numbers, so I'm very happy.
