We tried calling the director's number and i think it's in progress but as what Ron and Yazi said that it's not recognize unless there's an assigned case number already. It's probably at NVC already. Hope we'll find out soon.

When calling NVC, the operator will not have any info on a K-1 until it's been assigned a case number. that's why you might be told they haven't got your case yet. a k-1 isn't entered into the system when arrives at NVC, only once it was been assigned a case number. hopefully you'll be able to find out your case number any day now...

But whose responsible for assigning case number?

Talking or sending email inquiries to NVC operators doesn't seem to do anything. The only thing the operators can do is to read the status that comes up to their computer system. I sent 7 email inquiries in the last couple of weeks, and got no response. It has been extremely painful to be separated over for two YEARS since our honeymoon. The first year was for my career, but the second year of separation wasn't my decision. Since the first year of separation was so tough than we expected, we decided to get together, but we didn't know the visa process would be like this. The USCIS took 4 months only to receive our I-130 petition. When our I-129F and I-130 petition got approved, we thought we could finally get reunited soon. But two months later, I am still waiting the NVC only to receive the approved petition.

We both are almost sick now. Especially, my husband goes through the most critical and toughest moment in his life. He said he felt like there's nobody on his side, and even the only person (me) he thinks really cares about him is far away. I feel so bad that I can't be with him to support him there. He was always with me when I needed him, but I don't/can't. I am trying hard to calm down. That's all we can do, right?

I hope we all here in this form get together with their loved ones soon.

Where do you get your case number from? Every time I call NVC i cant get a live operator and it keeps telling me to call back. We got aproved June 12th.

After approval which is the NOA2, we will get a case number from NVC when they happen to receive our case from USCIS and NVC will send it to your embassy at which country you're from. As soon as you're embassy receive your case from NVC, you can start calling them to set for an interview even when you still haven't got the confirmation letter from your embassy.

As for me, we haven't got our case number yet. And NVC keeps on telling us everytime we call that they haven't got our case yet.

Well I finally got to speak to some one at NVC and they told me that I129Fs usually take up 2-4 weeks and that in some rare cases it can take up to 90 days. So I guess now we sit and wait for the 90 days. Just in case though Im going call USCIS to see what day they sent it off. Would they be able to tell me that?

The same reply also to us when we called up NVC for many times now. *sigh*

90days? First, we waited for months for the NOA2 and then now, we will be waiting for months again. Hopeless

USCIS, will answer the same.

I would think the responsability is of USCIS since they were the one s who had your file in hand and were responsible for assuring that NVC has received it... therefore go after USCIS and be strong and persistent... it is their most easy exit to brush people off... Call USCIS director 202-272-8000 and raise hell about it ( in a polite way)... they have to tell you exactly where your file is even if they can not answer the exact time frame will take for the process to be concluded at least you will be assured of what they are doing and where it is... But I was just wondering why they would write on the Approval Notice that they sent the case to NVC and when we call NVC they would answer us back that they haven't got our case yet. *sigh*

I would include the different spellings that have been used, yes. For name and address of present employer or school, write 'none' - the question still is applicable.

Got some questions about DS156 forms. I just want to make sure that there won't be any problem when I fill up the form. It's better to be sure than sorry.Right Vjers? Although at this moment we're still in the deepest sadness about our case hasn't gotten to NVC. So thought of other things to do while waiting for the letter from NVC.

Here are the list:

1. Other first names and middle names used. (I had a discrepancy on my middle name should i put the other spelling of my middle name? Now I am using the wrong spelling on my passport since it's the one written on my birth certificate.)

2. Name and Address of present employer or school. (I already resigned from work,should I put there NOT APPLICABLE or just leave it blank?)

same here approved 5/30/08 but until now no hard copy recieve.Called uscis saying they sent to nvc.Calling nvc then they said they dont have the file yet.

*sigh* NVC and USCIS are really disappointing us. I mean I know they're processing a lot of papers but it's just not right that those people who were ahead of us got there NVC letters while us earlier than them still hasn't got any.

They're being unfair you know.

I'm trying to be calm and relax and just keeping the faith but still I can't help it not to be frustrated. I do understand your feelings Lea. Let's just pray for the best. I wonder how you managed to handle yours since it's already 2months. I think I'm going to get crazy with that too not just me but also my fiance. We're really sick and tired of waiting since the start of this processing. *sigh*

We've been calling NVC many times but they say they haven't got our case yet.

I wonder whose responsible for this, NVC or USCIS.

Last update I got on I-130 was on April 12 that Case has been Aprroved and will transfer to NVC.

it is going to be almost 2 MONTHS now and still NVC not have my case.

Any body on the same situation? or any idea how long it will take?

I just wonder if it's the same with K1 visa. Our case was already approved too and we've been calling NVC and the live operator said that we need to wait for 2-4weeks till they receive the case from USCIS. It's been 20days since we got our NOA2 hardcopy.

I wonder what's happening.

We got no choice but to wait I guess. Sorry to hear about your case too it's been 2months already and NVC hasn't got it yet. Let's just pray for the best to come.

I noticed that our timelines are close. I got my NOA2 last June 18, and my fiance called NVC yesterday July 1 to check our manila case number. And I already got it! Ask your dear to call NVC. They might give them the mnl number. Hope to see you soon, and hope we have same interview and medical exam date. The more the merrier:)

We've been calling the NVC for days now. Even this morning I called up. The live operator said that they haven't got our case yet. What's happening with our case? We got our NOA2 Hard copy last June 17th so earlier than yours...

How long does CSC send approved case to NVC?

It's been weeks already since we were approved. We just called NVC and it says that they don't have the case yet.

This is really frustrating. I'm sick and tired of this waiting.
