I went to check the status on CEAC, and it is Approved. I did see this before. However, it looks like the next step is for the status to change to "Issued." There is also text below the statement that indicates that although it has been approved, it still needs to go through someone else. I figured the status should have been changed by now. Yesterday had been a week. It seems that even when it is approved, it's still not fully approved until the status changes to Issued.
I must have been unclear. My fiance was approved for the K-1 Visa on 2/27. She went to the embassy in Bogota. We don't live close by, so we opted to have the visas delivered to our location. When she completed her interview, they told her that she would receive an email about the next steps regarding obtaining her visa. We have not received that email. Do you have any idea how long this should take? Thank you.
I understand it may work completely differently in each embassy, but we were approved on 2/27. It was mentioned that the next step was that we would receive an email. It has been over a week, and we still have not received that email. We did select to have the visas sent to another location. I know it will be a few weeks before we receive them, but we still have not received the email. Do you have any information about this? Thank you.
We were approved on 2/27 and still have not received the email they indicated after the interview. How long does it take? We are having the visas delivered to another location outside of Bogota. I know it may take a few weeks to get them, but I figured we would have received the email by now. Thank you.
Great, that's good to hear. Have you received the notification to receive the visa? We were approved on 2/27, and we still have not received the email they said would be the next step. We are having the visas delivered to a different location.
No, the DS-260 is not required. From what I heard, it seemed like the people who had their fiance with them at the interview were asked fewer questions. Also, they did not ask for current information about the relationship, pictures, flights, etc.
LOL...I was freaking out about the DS-260 as well a few days ago. Didn't need another intent letter. Also, the only income documents they accept are signed tax returns or tax transcripts. However, each embassy can request different documents. Have more than you might need.
Question about Form I-134. On page 6, "Information About the Individual Agreeing to Financially Support the Beneficiary"; Under Income #14, Am I writing my annual income in the column "Income Contribution to the Beneficiary Annually"?
Thank you.
All of what @JaredShadkin shared, but also keep in mind that there are many who waited years to get a work permit. It may be beneficial to prepare for a minimum of one year. If it happens sooner, perfect. Just be aware it can be a year or more, hopefully not, right?
Hello,
My previous issue was my browser due to not restarting my computer periodically. Thank you for the suggestions.
I am now going to fill out the I-134. I will need to complete an I-134 for my fiance and her daughter, correct? One separate one for each person?
Also, I am certain each embassy is different, however, is it common for the petitioner to attend the interview. Which is recommended?
Thank you.
I have been trying to use the CEAC website to complete the DS-160 for the last four days. Is there a regular problem, or is it something on my end? Is anyone else having this problem?
I received an email today from the U.S. embassy to proceed with completing the DS-160 and schedule the interview.
Am I the petitioner completing the DS-160, or is my fiancé?
I believe it is her, but just want to make sure. Thank you.
