    Visa Medicals WILL ask you for a summary of your medical history and an immunisation record. At the end of my medical I had a short discussion with a nurse about my vaccination history. You are given documentation that tells you VERY CLEARLY what you need to do next.

    I have no recollection of having had chicken pox. My father and mother don't remember it either. I have no scars. The presumption has to be that if you didn't have it then you need a vaccine. As you say it is not a good idea to lie.

    The form I have from Visa Medicals says a number of things. One thing it does not say is "They will accept your word for it"

    I was referring to my medical records. I don't have a chicken pox scar and I don't remember ever having the disease. My mother does not remember me having it either. I could ask about having a blood test to check my immunity. I read in several places you should not have the varicella vaccine soon after having MMR.

    There is no record of me having chicken pox as a child or being vaccinated against it. Therefore I have to have it.

    Sorry, I could have structured that a bit better. The options I investigated were: (1) Visa Medicals doing everything for GBP 250 (2) a private clinic doing everything for GBP 450 (3) my GP practice doing everything except varicella at a hopefully lower cost Some people have experienced problems getting their GP practice to do the vaccinations. Presumably this is because they do not consider giving vaccines to healthy adults for immigration purposes part of their NHS contract. Anyway, in the event I was given all the vaccines I needed except varicella and the covid 19 booster. It was free. I am having the covid booster at Boots on Saturday afternoon for GBP 97.50.

    I had MMR, tetanus and hepatitus-B on Friday afternoon. Back at my medical on April 24th Visa Medicals said they could do my missing vaccines for GBP 250. A private GP practice locally offered to do them for GBP 450. In the event my GP practice did them for free. They could not do varicella so I will have to look elsewhere for that. Boots are doing my covid booster on Saturday for GBP 97.50.

    I wasn't trying to scare you or anyone else in my comment. My guess is that there won't be any radical change in how immigration law is enforced after the November election. I can't imagine K-1 visa holders who have not filed by day 91 will be hunted down and put in an Arizona detention camp! If the federal government does shut down for a few days in the Fall it won't be the first time this has happened.

    One thing no one has mentioned in this slightly side-tracked discussion about AOS is the political context. You ARE out of status after 90 days. The labor union for border officers endorsed a particular political candidate in the 2016 Presidential election. No doubt they will be arguing for more funding whoever wins in November. I was just reading about the illegal activities of Joseph "Sheriff Joe" Arpaio who ended up getting pardoned. I am sure there are other local officials anxious to curry favor with their electorates. So try not to wait. The past is not always a good guide to the future ....

    I am aware the issue has talked about many times. I have read many of the discussions. There was a post on here about some one involved in a minor traffic and got detained by the police.

    It is the most underwhelming medical I have ever had.

    The paperwork you are given at the visa medical in London is fairly good. I was asked to sign the following statement. They offered to give all the vaccinations I needed then. I refused as I thought I had given them more than enough money that day. However, I wish I had just done it there and then. " Although vaccinations are not required for my K visa application, I understand that they will be required when I adjust status to that of legal permanent residency following marriage. I understand that I may, depending on the US state, have to partake in a medical when adjusting if I elect not to be vaccinated at my UK medical appointment."

    Shouldn't she have filed for AOS within 90 days? The fact she didn't could have certainly caused her problems.

    You will be fine. You're not a danger to yourself or others. You're managing your condition and you have support to ensure you do not become a public charge.

    On the sheet I got from Visa Medicals it says: COVID-19 Vaccine Booster/booster dose within the last 12 months I was applying for a K-1 visa, but I would guess it is the same for all visa types.

    You can get engaged to whoever you want whenever you want. However, presumably your intention is to bring the person concerned to the United States and marry them. The I-129F form has a question asking if you ever been married. It then goes on to ask when the marriage ended.

    I think in most legal jurisdictions that is called bigamy!

    That is interesting. I did lots of research which saved on legal fees. One of the reasons I am moving to The United States rather than my fiancée coming here is that the American rules are so transparent and easy to follow.

    Tenby is a good place to take visiting Americans to swim. Due to the enclosed harbour the water is often warm on a warm day. Perhaps I will retire there!

    Just be honest and you will be fine. Will your criminal certificate show any interaction with the police, particularly in respect of drugs/alcohol/self harm? Of all my documents that was the one that took longest to arrive. Visa Medicals told me I could send it later. Personally, I would not recommend do that.

    Was wondering what a refused birth certificate could possibly be when I saw the heading for this post!
