  1. It also showed up in the system about a day later that she was approved and in line to be scheduled. But nvm, she received her letter today that her ceremony is on 10/16. Yay!
  2. My fiance also passed her test and was told she'd be getting the letter for the oath ceremony "next week". That was 4 weeks ago and nothing yet. That's for the El Paso FO as it might differ for each field office.
  3. It's been two weeks since the interview and the same-day approval notice. Ever since we have been waiting for the date for the Oath Ceremony but instead we got some very odd email traffic 10 days and 14 days after the interview. The email come in pairs, back-to-back and say "your appointment has been canceled" followed by "your are about (or in queue) to be scheduled for your oath ceremony". Funny part of course is that she didn't have an appointment that could have been canceled. The first time on the 20th I thought it was just a funny glitch but when the same thing happened again today, I was starting to get worried. Did anyone else see this happen to them?
  4. Does anyone here know (@OldUser maybe?) how much of a hassle it could be to transfer the Oath Ceremony to a different field office? In this case from El Paso, TX to Tucson, AZ. It's probably better to just do the drive again for the occasion but I thought I'd ask to see if someone has possibly seen this to be no issue at all ....
  5. Thank you! https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=490474 5-year provision
  6. Her interview was this morning (El Paso, TX) and the application was approved. The officer said she will get an invite for the oath ceremony within the next two weeks. Almost done with the process!
  7. Thanks to @OldUser we found the invite letter online and she's scheduled to interview on the 11th of August.
  8. Filed N-400 online in El Paso, TX on 3/3 and she just got the notification that her interview was scheduled on 7/8. Is there a way to find out for what date it was scheduled without the official letter with the interview appointment?
  9. Yes, it's a difficult system to navigate. I was on a J-1 once, so I remember the struggle. The "you can't leave once you file" statement only applies for AoS. The alternative is that you maintain the timeline you laid out in your original post but then you stay in the UK after visiting your family for Christmas and file for the GC through the consulate. That would prohibit you to reenter the US on a non-immigrant via like your J-1 as your GC application has now shown your intent to immigrate. I strongly suggest you heed the advice from the other folks who commented here and have your family visit you in the US for Christmas instead, if you cannot do the paperwork right now.
  10. My fiancee filed her N-400 online in El Paso, TX on 3/3. NOA arrived in the mail a few days later, biometrics are being reused. And now we have been waiting without any notice other than it says online all the documents they needed have been received and they are processing them. Her N-400 is based on 5 year residency, not marriage-based. Anyone else here in the same boat? Has anyone here who filed with the El Paso field office in March received their interview appointment? I went through my N-400 process many years ago and it took me just 2 months, so I am confused this is taking so long. TIA!
