  1. Hey guys,

I have a friend, who lives overseas, is married to a U.S citizen. However, they don't know how to fill out the immigration papers nor have a clue about it at all. They asked me if Could fill out their paperwork and send it in for them!! do you guys thin that the immigration will allow that?

Any of your help will be greatly appreciated!!

  2. AP took 4 months for me , during the 4 months they called me like 3 times saying Congrats, you got approved, please send in passport to issue the visa, I get all excited and 2 days later , i received my passport back with no visa, i call and ask whats going on and they tell me you were put on AP again. They did this to me 3 times and finally they called and asked me to send in my passport for the third time to issue the visa, i sent my passport in and wasnt excited at all thought i would receive my passport blank again with No visa but the third time it worked out, they send me the visa and a sealed envelop.

AP could be very aggravated sometimes, In this Game Patience is the only Key.

Wish you the best of luck.

Current Status: Notice Returned as Undeliverable.

On December 2, 2008, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

I called them and they said we will re-send it and u should receive it within 45 days,if not, contact us back!! i am afraid this notice tells the appt date and i am gonna miss it and then i will end up getting a denial in the mail of not goin to the interview and i dont know what i am gonne do ,

any help will be appreciated .

Happy Holidays to everyone and God Bless...

After a huge delay because of Requested information regarding my I-864

I received today by mail a notice to appear for our "Initial Interview" on February the 19th.

So I'm happy and nervous to bet back in the race....

Just one question when it states as "Initial" Interview does that imply that their will be more ?

    Thanks for your help.....

Moe1985 your time line is similar to mine but I had the delay with my RFE , so I agree that the "undelivered letter" might be your Interview Notice...

On my Interview Notice it gives you a tel. number : 1-800-375-5283 in case you need to change your appt. date.

Is this the same number you already called and if not try calling them and with your application number??

  6. thanks for ur response, yes i did call the number and they told me we will re-send it,if u didnt recieve it within 45 days call us back!!! do u think i should send my local office a letter and let them know whats going on?

We live in the same place as from when we applied for AOS/EAD and got a receipt from that back in March, Then we got Adams Biometric Appt for April 5th sent to us in the mail, and the EAD card sent to us, and his SS card sent to us... so why would the post office have a hard time delivering this IMPORTANT INTERVIEW letter to us and return it back to USCIS !? :help:

The Organization that helped us file our papers, got a copy of the interview letter which I will pick up on Monday (hopefully) and I did call USCIS today and spoke with them and gave them all our info all over again and they said we should get the letter within 45 days but our interview is in 32 days ! Anyone else been in this kind of situation before ? What a stress ball! :help:

I did get all my notices like NOA1, Biometric appointment on this address. What can be this notice about? Can it be RFE? I was assuming to receive California transfer notice. I had talked with person at the above telephone number, and gave them my address. She told they will resend it but she didn't knew what this notice is about. She said I might have to wait 45 days to hear anything. Do I have to wait 45 days to get that notice.

  10. You should try going to the office where you applied for it and ask them if everything has been cleared with DHS (department of homeland secruity) in regards to your EAD (if that's what you used to qualify for one) they should be able to tell you and then give you a print out "certification" of your number...

Thankyou so much for your information , and yea i applied for ssn based on my EAD. thanks again for your help.
