First off I want to THANK!!! Cristi85 for putting all the work into this for us April filers. I do also encourage all of you to enter your data in your timeline if you have one and create one if you do not. It will be helpful to those before us (prior months) and after us(future months) in finding trends as to what they might expect following the process. Good luck to all.

Forgive me if I missed this but the bio letter is referenced. Does the USCIC give you the appointment date or just tell you that you are clear to make an appointment?

My wife and I will be filing 89 days prior to expiration of her Conditional green card. From the timelines here it appears that the initial process (review and biometrics) happen pretty quickly but the Cal Service Center does not approve for up to six months or more. My wife's mother is touch and go with illness in Ukraine. I am wondering what we need to file if the permanent green card is not sent to us by its current expiration. She may need to tavel at the drop of the hat. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this?

If I might suggest follow what Gary and Val have posted. There is NO easy way. I went through this last year and received the maximum refund. I will tell you it is manual and you have to follow the instructions explicidly. Yes it takes time. I love the russian translation of the quote "They say time is the fire in which we burn." Follow the insturctions. It will save you time in the end. Also you will get the maximum refund.

At the point of entry of my wife (Chicago) the officer wrote Alien # on the visa. I just don't see anything like a 551 stamp that says the visa is a green card until it come but it makes sense. I will have to study this closer.

Spouce had full set of fingerprints performed at embassy. At the point of entry her index finger on both hands was checked. Then she went to a processing room for a few minutes where they took her entry package, had her sign a form and did an hard copy blank ink finger print of index finger on both hands. Does anyone know does this constitue "biometrics" or when the time of "lifting conditions" we will have to still pay for the "biometrics"

Thank you v j'ers I hope I am listening carefully and keep your perspective when my wife joins me soon. I think about how much she cares about me and I think about this issue for her often. I realize how great an adjustment things will be for her. Thanks for you insite and pray for me to keep a sentitivity for her as we work through this adjustment periord. So happy for you guys good luck and please post your results. Waiting for our interview to be scheduled in Kiev also. Going to check your time line. Our case was completed 5/6 and waiting for word on our interview.

Hotel bills, credit card statements, anything else. Itineray from the travel agent you used?

All is real helpful.

Be complete and be truthful and have evidence that supports that. I have seen and heard they are pretty good at uncovering fraud.

I am glad it works for some. I can't quite believe or understand with thousands of packages being mailed each day one finds anything by just entering a few date. The reference# is made up right? I am showning no packages mailed anywhere which does not make sense.
