Hey everyone. So I'm a little confused about the whole packet 3, 3.5, 4....etc. I know that that's what the embassy sends out, but what's the difference between all of these? Would anyone be kind enough to explain?
Thanks in advance!!

I've got the day off tomorrow!! I work 9 hour days so I get every other Friday off. It's nice.
Congrats to Benny and Cassi. As each day goes by...the closer we get to our NOA2's!
-
All I can say is basically what everyone else has already said. I sure hope you hear something good this week.

I'm very lucky that my fiancee is very supportive of all this. She understands how long it takes and all the people waiting and such. What sucks for me is that I won't get to see her until the visa gets approved since I plan on making one trip to bring her here when everything is approved. So who knows when that'll be. There really isn't much to do instead of just waiting it out. It isn't a question of IF the visa will get approved...just a matter of when.

I'm starting to get nervous guys. Maybe it's just my excitement. Here's to all us February filers (and everyone else) that our process goes smooth!
-
Congrats everyone! Hopefully my fiancee will be getting the packet 3 in a couple of months...by then you guys will be here with your wives/husbands/fiance(e)'s!
-
It's alright guys. We've already waited close to 4 months now. Just another 2 more months or so...we'll get there soon. Besides...summer is nearly here and summer time always seems to go by a little faster.
Monty-are you guys going to have a civil ceremony and then a big wedding in March or are you going to hold off on entering the country until January/February? We're going to have a civil ceremony as soon as the visa is granted (he'll be coming here as soon as I can get a flight to Canada so we can drive back together) and then a big wedding in May. I'm in the throes of wedding planning...I never realized what a girly-girl I was until now.
We want to travel back together and I won't be able to go there until March since I plan on staying there for a couple of weeks (need to save up my vacation time). So we'll just have a civil ceremony when she gets here. Then in the summer we'll have a big wedding...we've got to keep the family and friends happy too!

Yeah, their system is REALLY screwed up. Unless I'm seeing things, which could be a possibility.

Congrats!! It's always great to hear good news.

CSC just updated their processing times. As of May 15th, they are working on November 17th, 2007 files.
By the way, as per igor's list, there are 9 November filers remaining and 14 October filers. I hope those guys get cleared out soon.
-
Yeah I wouldn't worry too much. There are still some October filers waiting for their NOA2's. Yours may even be in the mail. CSC has been having issues with their computer systems so the information they show online may not be up to date.
-
Nope...no touches for me. I'm sitting at number 168 on igor's list now. I'm hoping to hear something in the next 2 months or so.
-
Congrats. Here's hoping the next step of the journey goes smooth for you.

Lol... earlier I was checking my status on the USCIS website and it prompted me to change my password since it expires every 90 days. So I did.
So I just now check my email and I saw that I had an email from "CRIS" and I got all excited and nervous. I was like "Oh my God....no way..."
Then I read the subject; "Password Change Confirmed"

Awesome! Congrats!!

Congrats!!!

DOHH!!!
Oh well. It didn't burst my bubble. I enjoyed the excitement while it lasted.
It still could be real though....

We have our FIRST feb filer with NOA2 today!!!!!!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish it was us!!
WHEEE!!! That literally just brought tears to my eyes. Go CSC!! Let's see some more February approvals!
Hmmm it's something weird withe that "approval"... their timeline is not update and last seen for them in in march... just weird
You know I was just looking at that. They filed on Feb 29th too. Kinda strange how that works.
-
Yes!!! Excellent news. Now I think I'm going to start stressing about getting all my stuff together for the next step.
Good luck everyone!

Hey everyone. Happy Tuesday to all. It's been a quiet week so far. I'm looking forward to the weekend. The temperature is supposed to get into the 80's! Not used to that type of weather in May for Seattle. Should be great.
Keep praying for our beloved CSC!!

ISL doesn't set interviews. Maybe they did in the past but ISL is now an Appointment Post meaning NVC sets up the interview and sends your file to ISL. I believe this process is faster as far as scheduling the interview goes.
My file at NVC was just completed, I will let you know when my interview is scheduled.
Hey Salaam to all the fellow Islamabad filers. I've read through some of the thread (can't read all of the 369 pages). But anyway...I'm an Islamabad filer obviously. Right now my case is still at the Cali Service Center. Submitted it in Feb 2008. Just been reading about how slow Islamabad is to get the packets out and set interview dates.Basically, I'm going through the K-1 visa. Planning on bringing my fiancee here in March or April of 2009 (Insha'Allah). Hopefully by then she'll have her visa and everything.
Just thought I'd shout out to you guys. Good luck!
Cool. Thanks man. Yeah it would be nice if it is quicker. I know how much of a hassle it is to get things done back home.

No touches for me either. I've been hovering around the 144 mark on Igor's list. I hope you early February filers start hearing something very soon...
