Should be good unless they have new rules again. I did the application and notification under my name but the cheques are under my husband's name only since basically I have no access to checking or credit card here yet... Check if they already charged the card... that might be a good indication that all is good...

That is indeed very weird. The cheques I sent was under my husband's name... maybe somehow its the new changes now? Like update. Heard there is a new form too like 1 more additional page for the 485...

I once was thinking they could have like visa extension status for k1's.. marrying within 3 months then an official extension until residency is achieved so we can all rest easy and stress free, it feels like we are in a limbo of having no status, since our visa stay duration is expired but covered by some pardon since application is going on. 😂 and i cant just be not going out...that will drive me nuts... i wanted to start looking for work... speaking of work, can we start applying and just note that work authorization is under process? Or better wait for the papers? And i can truly breathe easy if I get my residency, so its going to be a whirlwind of chaos in my head. 🤯🥴

Oh wow.. so our marriage cert isnt automatically accepted. Ill just worry about it when its near expiry 😅 And i just checked, nearest consulate to me is in chicago (5hours ++) but they cant cater to me, state where I am is assigned in washington DC which is like 9h+ travel. Phew!

Try again and again. I did got it one take tho I waited atleast 20 mins to get to an agent as there was a long queue. Explained to them that I need to know as I need to log in. Biometrics schedule has been done but since I dont have the receipt paper I cant access or linked the app. We first went on to circles, like agent asking me so are you requesting for a new one. I just agreed and can you share me that access code.. then went to your mail is on its way, then I went to say, yeah but its taking time in our area, please share so i can just linked it in my USCIS app..then proceeded to recheck some vital info about me and later on shared. So that was good. So another 15 mins conversation 😅 Just be patient.

Wow!!! Thats a lot.. and to think we already did our biometrics too in the embassy where we applied. They could just have linked that on their system too.. but oh well we gotta do what we gotta do.

Just my update: Done with biometrics today in Cincinatti... Scheduled at 12nn yet they did it when we arrived around 1130 since nobody was there. 😅 Drive was hour and a half, so a total of 3hrs road trip with mom in law for the less than 10 mins transaction... 😆 So now the waiting game. Was thinking they could have removed this process and just went on getting our biometrics in the US embassy where we applied.. oh well atleast its done..

By the way, was yours considered as an RFE? I read somewhere that it extends more of your timeframe, 30 to 90 days 😱

So i am starting to see some videos or tiktok for our the possible interview questions.. i come across one from an immigration attorney (clairekimlaw) in tiktok, and it did confused me a bit. "Have you ever violated the terms of your non immigrant status?" - as K1 holders are we violating it if we have submitted our AOS after the dates stamped on our passports?? ( tho we followed the getting married within 90 days). -if yes, you will be automatically pardoned as you are an immediate relative However, where do we belong?? Yes....or No?? Hahaha. You can look at that tiktok account and scroll it with this title. (I hope attaching this tiktok account here is fine. I wanted others to see it too and I may have understood things differently)

Oh dear.. i feel anxious too esp that my NOA has not arrived on mail and they texted me about my biometric schedule yet no mails. Glad ask emma gave my access code so i sort of have the soft copies of the letters.. im sure it will come soon. Might be some delays.

Yes they did like 3 days after they gave me a text.. did you check yours? Them cashing the cheque is an indication probably.. have you tried contacting them or using the Ask Emma on site?

Update... Still do not have my NOA but as suggested by @Edward and Jaycel, I did the online chat with Emma, successfully got my online access on one try! So my biometrics appointment is on Feb 6 and... one hour and half away from us..Geez! I thought they have offices on all cities. Thats just so far... 😩 but cant complain..i need to have it soon..I want to start working 😄

Sent it on the 2nd.. USPS delivered on Jan 11 (snow storm issues on this area) on PO BOX 85034, even if I had used PO BOX 85036 (i had to even check my receipt again).. then received a text from USCIS on the 16th Jan that they got it.

Phoenix lockbox did the same thing to me. Was confuse when i got the text but after researching a lot has same scenarios..It will come... we are almost on same timeframe... now i am awaiting for that physical mail. Unfortunately, informed mail by USPS isnt applicable here in my area.

Got a change on my AOS online; however I still cant open my access since the mail has not arrived yet for me to access the online portal, so I still do not know the date! Yaiks. Wow.. thats a lot of days... but oh well.. 😃 congrats! Im wishing i can get mine soon enough..
