  1. Under Biometrics, we're not sure what you mean by NVC letter. NOA2??
  2. I have spent a good 2-3 hours trying to find these. I do see lists, but they either contradict each other or appear to be outdated. Can any kind soul out there enlighten us. We feel so close to the finish line and at the same time it feels very elusive
  3. Hypothetically, let's say our embassy interview is on a Friday - Medical has to be completed 2(?) days prior to the interview, so would that be done Tuesday or Wednesday?? Biometrics have to be done how many days prior to interview?? Mahalo for your continued help.
  4. I tried on a second computer and 3 different browsers. Same behavior.
  5. I'd really like to know if others are experiencing this. This makes an irritating process 3x worse.
  6. Another odd thing I am finding is that ALWAYS - the first attempt at logging in fails. EVERY time. Edge or Chrome - same behavior. Second attempt always gets me in. Anybody else experiencing this?
  7. Mahalo all.. On to the next yet undiscovered point of confusion.
  8. That's what's so confusing. If we didn't pay, would we not even have access to that site?
  9. We already paid $265. I was under the impression that other than the medical, we were paid up
  10. I can't pinpoint it, but my gut tells me something ain't right in how we're trying to schedule. Please tell us if we're on the right track or not. This is what we do.. We login and we land here. The fact that "Fee Payment" is blank is messing with my head. I don't get why that box is even there. Is it intended to be a payment status? If so, why is it empty? If we didn't pay, would we not be able to login? We click "Schedule IV appointment, and we're taken here. We click the drop down and only see "Manila OFC". Selecting this gives us the infamous "No Slots Available". Are we going about this correctly? Mahalo, Bill and Dina
  11. Dina paid the $225 and got a confirmation code in an email. I assume that she keyed it in properly to get to that point in the website. I was just troubled by the screenshot I provided. I would have thought under "Fee Payment" it would have said something like "Paid in full". But when we go into "Schedule IV Appointment", we see "No Slots Available". So can I assume all is good?
  12. My question was 'which form should I use' not 'do i really have to fill out anything'
  13. Mahalo Jim. I didn't email you directly as I did not want to be perceived as a major pain in the ### (I am ok being modest pain in the ### however).
  14. I-134 or I-864? I see both mentioned seeming interchangeably.
  15. Please define "outside".
  16. 20 years is a long time. You wouldn't recognize the airport. Sadly you wouldn't recognize Hawai`i period.
  17. We decided on Honolulu. After thinking about it, Guam was a huge gamble. She would arrive in HNL at 10:20am. Flights to Maui are every 30 minutes till 9pm. And Hawaiian is very accommodating about moving you to an earlier/later flight than what was booked.
  18. Nice thought but not practical. I would have no way to get into international terminal without a ticket. The best I could do is meet her at the gate she would be leaving from. And by then, she's past 99.99999999999% of the difficulties. She got 'em. Also I think me getting a ticket only to turn around and come home would raise suspicions.
  19. She agreed with me on Guam. But now what I am reading about having to get bags changes everything. My gut says getting bags, going thru immigration, rechecking bags and getting to gate in 2.5 hrs is way too risky. There is only one Guam/Honolulu flight a day. You miss it, you're screwed. So would this be the sequence of events using Honolulu as the POE? - 1. Hop on PAL and fly fly fly. 2. Grab bags in Honolulu. 3. Go thru C&I. 4. Go to inter-island terminal. 5. Either fly out or try to get earlier/later flight as necessary. bc
  20. Aloha kakou, We received our NOA2 and are awaiting our MNL number. So we're thinking ahead/daydreaming. For POE our choices are Guam and Honolulu. Guam pros - She arrives in the middle of the night with a 2+ hour layover. My thinking is the immigration process would be less hectic. Bags would be checked to Honolulu so she could focus on getting thru immigration and nothing more. Easier to estimate when to book inter-island flight from Honolulu coz in theory she would buzz thru Honolulu customs. Guam cons - Long-assed day Honolulu pros - Direct flight from Manila. Honolulu cons - Customs/immigration would be busier and less predictable time-wise Between immigration, getting bags and getting to interisland terminal, almost impossible to estimate when to book flight out of Honolulu. To me Guam wins. Am I neglecting anything??
  21. Those are concepts. I need details. I need websites, form numbers and lists. The information here regarding assembling the packet was so perfect. I can't imagine how it could have been more complete. I am finding that at this stage, that same level of detail is difficult to find.
  22. I've seen this. Can I assume that even if the document is 5 years old, it's still accurate and relevant?
  23. Aloha kakou, After a minor RFE, we received our NOA2 dated 11/13. I am doing research about what to do/what happens next. I am seeing conflicting information. My friend John who is providing moral and logistical support says some things have changed since he went thru this. And I think my research is reflecting this. Can some kind soul point Dina and I to a definitive resource as to what we should be doing now and what we should be preparing for? Mahalo, Bill and Dina
