PAL seems to be the only direct to Honolulu. And price is almost double flights that stop in Seoul or Tokyo first. Other than the greed component. I don't understand the economics of aerospace.

I'm looking at both Kayak and the PAL website. Are there useful sites I am unaware of? Dina does CFO in 2.5 hours. She wants to take a week or two to recover from the chaos of the last month, then she'll be ready to hop the big bird.

Saipan specifically.. Since the chain is a US territory, I'm thinking it would be ok. We're looking for somewhere exotic to go to and still stay in the US. American Samoa is another possibility. Guam is out. Too military.

Dina has been told that not only does she have to wait for email - she has to show email at VAC in order to pick up. Truth or conspiracy theory?

Should we be concerned the interview was a week ago today and we're still in this state?

I want to verify what I think that means (interviewer said Dina qualified for visa). As I understand, it means VAC received the case and visa is awaiting production. Is this correct? The interview was a week ago today.

Are there any documented sources (not hearsay) that state how long VAC will hold a visa for pickup??

Dina and I were rewarded for our persistence today. She chose to pick up at VAC. She was told 1-2 weeks. That seemed like a long time compared to what I have read in the past. Does anybody have recent experience with this? She's gonna crash tomorrow. The next day she needs to decide if to leave the Embassy/VAC area or not. She has a sister 10 bus hours away she can visit if it's really gonna be a more than week. If only a few days, then she stays where she is and rests/shops/sightsees.

Dina has her interview tomorrow. She decided to stay in Manila to pick up visa and do CFO before returning to Leyte. I assume it's risky to schedule CFO before having visa in hand. That said, once having the visa, how quickly can she expect to score an open slot?

I'm curious as to why ladyboy is such a thing for you. You even use an uppercase 'l'. Sounds like you got some issues beyond flawed grammar... In any case, on to more important things.. Nope - LBC Kahului only does boxes, Buzzed over to DHL. $137 later, my raised bumpy sealed divorce decree and for kicks my original birth certificate landed in Honolulu yesterday and should be in Dina's grubs in a week. She's already talking to the interview goddess about helping her secure a second interview.
