  1. You need a lawyer for this process with all the information that is posted here, just spend time reading the whole process and how it works and save your money.

Start reading and you will be done.

    :whistle::star:

Thank you, guys! You are the best. I have been reading all day. It seems that DR processing times are a lot slower then other countries. I wish all of you luck and will be back for more info.

up until case complete at NVC, its the same processing time most other countries would have. after you get case complete and your waiting for interview, in DR they are scheduled 3-5 months out... most people are getting them in 4 months. if i get case complete this week, i should have an interview in DR by feb.

its not THAT much longer than other countries and thank god you didn't file 2 years or so ago. the waiting list for an interview used to be about a year to 2 years. someone on dominicanstotheusa.com just got their visa after 3 years for the total process.

  2. Could they possibly want proof that a loan was paid or bill of sale? Not sure if you had a loan on the car you paid off, but maybe they want your final statement. Just a thought. Good luck, i hope you get the issue resolved soon.

my main car was bought cash, i never had a bank lein on it. my other car i still owe half on it, but i'm not using that one as an asset. i just sent proof of ownership so they know i have a second car(copy of registration card and proof of insurance with both cars on it). maybe they want the loan info on that one...

  3. How can you force you wife to pay your tuition when you are already undergoing divorce? It was your decision to join/remain in university to further YOUR eduction. It wasn't a joint decision by both you.

he's not forcing her to pay anything, she's forcing herself. who the **** told her to reverse the tuition discount out of spite. if she wants to be a spiteful ######, she can pay the bill. if she would have let things be, the bill wouldn't exist.

sorry man if i offended you, but i hate vindictive woman.

  4. i'm an unemployed full time college student. i dont have any income, but my assets more than meet the requirements. i used my house, bank account and my car as assets. my house alone was enough, but since i'm unemployed, i wanted to make sure i had enough so i included my car since i have 2 of them and my savings account.

all they want is proof of ownership, but i included that. i'm confused...

  5. i got an RFE at NVC for my AOS. it was for one of my assets. on line 26c, i used my car as an additional asset. They said they want proof of ownership for the car. i sent in a copy of the title.. what else do they want? i understand that to use your car, you need to prove you own a second car. one of my cars is completely paid off, so i used that one, and that's the one i sent the title in for. the other one i'm still paying off, so i don't have the title. i sent in a copy of the registration card and a copy of my insurance summery showing both cars. i called and no one seems to know exactly what they want me to send in. how do you ask for something and not know what your asking for?

also, it says to send in corrected i-864 with missing documents. nothing on my i-864 is going to change, do i just print off the one i sent in and send it in again?

  6. Thanks, Shpat, for responding! I sent it off-thank god, one more step completed!

You speak Albanian? My husband tries to teach me, but the sounds are so different, it's very difficult for me to pronouce the words correctly. I do know... zemra, zemra jeme, te dua, shpirt, zoti, nana, babo, lope, gomar, stas, gezuar, noten amir, mir poshem... =) basics!

    Anyways, thanks for helping.

Wait, whoa, just saw your signature... what do you mean the embassy is reviewing 2000 applications?! Are you freakin' kidding me? How long is that going to take for you to get an interview?!?!!!

depends on how fast they get through 2000 interviews. in Dom Rep you get an interview about 4 months after case complete and they process like 50-100 interviews a day. do the math.. it used to take almost 2 years to get an interview, so they're definetly picking up the pace.

  7. he'd be an idiot to admit it if it was really 5 years ago. i dont think the medical examiner is going to grill him for it.

the real question is was it really 5 years ago. people have a habit of keeping things like this from their SO. if he's been using it recently, then he will get caught. i dunno about cocaine cause i've never tried it or cared, but weed takes as long as 2 months to get out of your system for the blood test i think.

  8. I dunno if they fixed their online payment or something, but i just send out my last documents. if you look at my sign, the only thing that took longer than a day was for them to process my ds-3032 e-mail(i should have overnighted it!) it took me awhile to pay the AOS because no one would get my my IIN. but as soon as i got it, everything else was done within 2 days. paid fee, next day AOS was generated.(on a sat too, i paid on a friday and didnt expect anything till like tuesday)

in theory, if they would have givin me my IIN # over the phone, i would have paid that night, and has the AOS out next day. and if i would have overnighted the thing, instead of a week, would have been 2 days, i could have done the whole process in like 5 days.

just waiting for case complete now.

  9. From my understanding its good to submitt tax returns for the previous 2 years (2005 and 2006) even though it will be zero as they require tax returns of past 3 years.

even if i did do that, how do i submit tax returns that i didn't file? i never filed tax returns on 2006 and 2005, so would something still come back if i asked for tax records?

either way, doesnt look like i'm going to need it.

  10. i'm up to 7 tries, nothing. i guess i'll try a few more times before i call it a day.

the last guy almost gave it to me too. he was like what? umm.. one second sir.." then he muted me, probably to ask someone if he could give it to me, then he came ack "its on the invoice we sent to you.. um, today sir."

dammit dammit, i just want to pay AOS!!

anything helpful i could say to get it out of them. is there a rule or something as to why they just wont tell me?

also, do they document every time i call. if i call, can the next guy see that i've already tried 7 times?

  11. Alright, so i've finished assembling everything for NVC, but here's my little dilemma. i quit my job in june so i could go back to college. i'm a full ttime college studen right now, so i dont have any income. but, i do have a house, and 2 cars under my name. i have a pretty decent savings put away too.

since i cant use the principal car, i have 1 house, 1 car, and my savings account as assets. the total is more than 5x what i need(or 3x since its a spouse, right?). can i just use the house/car/savongs account and be done with it?

if its only 3x, then i could even just use the house and be done with it. there is no mortgage or lien on the house, i outright own it, but i think i'd be safer showing more, right?

from what i've been told, i should be in the clear, but i just wanted to make sure before i mailed this in.

also, on line 23, i still put what i made in 2007, right? or would i put 0 since i'm not working

my second dilemma is that i was living abroad from the age of 16 until about 2 years ago so all i have is my 2007 tax return. do i just include a letter stating that i wasn't here? i dunno what else to do, i wasnt working in the US, so i had no reason to file...
