  1. Unfortunately there isn't any way to call the NVC anymore. They suspended their phone inquiry number awhile ago and I haven't been able to find ANY phone numbers to talk to anyone at NVC. The only method I've been able to find for contacting the NVC is through the online inquiry form which I've done several times. We always get the same generic answer back, which just says this: This case is documentarily complete, which means the NVC has all the documents we requested. Your application is waiting for an interview appointment, where a consular officer will adjudicate it. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate provides the National Visa Center (NVC) with a list of available appointment dates and times. We will schedule your case for an interview appointment when an appointment date is available. We schedule appointments on a first in, first out basis. After we schedule your appointment, we will forward your case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate General in MONTREAL We cannot predict how long it will take to schedule your appointment, but we will notify the applicant, the petitioner, and your attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled. Your case will stay at NVC until that time. I really don't know what to do! I don't think there IS anything else we can do except wait. It's an extremely hard and frustrating situation to be stuck in! Praying this is the month! I don't know if it's because it's 5 visas together that it's taking so long??? (my husband's and 4 children; they were all DQd at the same time)
  2. We have personal friends that were DQ in May and received their IL in July (for a Sept interview). However we were DQ in March and still haven't received our IL. So it seems a little inconsistent and not fair. Definitely not operating on a "first in, first out basis" like it says on the website.
  3. It shows that it is still at the NVC.
  4. Yes, we received an email confirming DQ for each person on March 23. I have checked their CEAC accounts over and over to make sure nothing is missing, and everything is approved.
  5. Hi everyone! I just joined, but have been following this chat for awhile now and it's been helpful. We are waiting on my husband's IR-1 visa and my 4 children's visas (all filed at the same time) They were all DQ on March 23 2023, and we have not yet received an IL. As of July 11th, US Consular Operations Updates page was updated to say that "most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in May 2023". That makes me very worried since we were in March! I also see on here that most of the recent ones to post on here were DQ in April. The website says that they are "scheduled on a first in, first out basis", and that clearly isn't happening. Has our case been missed? I guess I'm wondering if this has happened to anyone else? Is there anything at all that we can do?? There's no longer any way to call the NVC. I have submitted a message via the online Inquiry Form.
