  1. Today, October 26th, we sent the AOS packet with the I-485, I-864, I-765 and the I-131 by USPS to the Chicago Lockbox. Now it's just time to wait and see how things go. It took almost 2 years to obtain the K1 visa. My wife has no birth certificate so notarized Affidavits of birth were submitted along with a notarized copy of her translated national ID card and a Notarized and translated copy of her house registration/census document for Myanmar. These were the same documents used for her K1 visa, so hopefully no issues here in the states.
  2. AOS Package has been mailed to the Chicago Lockbox. Sent by certified mail with a return receipt Via USPS. To explain further for your vacation Ideas, I would ask that you look at where a Myanmar National can travel......there are not many places one can go on a Myanmar passport. London is not on the list, nether is Canada, and Mexico, well to explain more....they all require a Visa to be applied for, just like traveling to the US. Not very easy.
  3. So just 1 cover letter on top of all of the 3 applications and the I-864. What about additional copies of the documents for support of each application? Not Needed?
  4. Another question. Should I complete 3 separate cover letters and supply additional copies of the documents with each application ie... I-485, I-765, I-131, and the I-864 even if it is being sent all together?
  5. That makes sense. Traveling to Myanmar right now makes no sense no matter what the emergency would be. She is an Ethnic Karen, and here people are being killed indiscriminately by the Myanmar/Burmese Junta. Yet it would give an option to travel to Thailand which borders Myanmar to see her family if needed I guess.
  6. Thank you. So as of now the fee's have not been increased and we will be okay paying the $1225 fee submitted with all documents. BTW is there a reason to complete the Advanced Parole if we do not plan on traveling back to her home country of Myanmar due to the ravages of war in her province?
  7. Hello to all, My fiancé, now wife, and I were married on October 2nd, 2023 and are in the process of completing the documentation to file the I-485, I-864, and the I-765. The only document missing is the certified copy of the marriage certificate which I can pick-up on October 25th. Checking the fees again just now I see it is a total of $1225 which includes the &85 biometrics fee. However when I look at the I-765 fee it shows a fee of $410.00. I am a little confused as reading through the forums I see that if all documents are filed at the same time there is no fee for the I-765. Can someone confirm that there is no additional fee required. I do not want the package rejected for the incorrect fees being paid. P.S. Are the fees for filing supposed to go up on October 20th? I just saw a report that the fees are proposed to be increased very soon.
  8. Passport with Visa in it and the other package for CBP at the POE was delivered just a few ago. Wishing everyone else success through the process. Making flight arrangements now and the Fiancé is so excited that we can finally be married after 4 years.
  9. Passport with Visa received today in the mail. Making Air travel arrangements now. Thank you guys for all of the assistance with the forum and help.
  10. Check the USTravelDocs application to see the status of the processing. My Fiancés page was blank after the interview and consulare processing started, but the day after CEAC said issued it changed to show this in the lower right. Still waiting for the delivery. Hol7dats here now for the Kings Birthday and a major Buddhist holiday. Hoping to have the passport back by the end of this week.
  11. My Fiancée's K-1 interview was on June 29th at the US Embassy in Bangkok. She is from Myanmar, but has lived in Thailand for 16 years. She obtained a Thailand Police clearance which was submitted with her package and given to the consular officer on the date of her interview. She was told her visa was approved after the interview, but then was called the next day and asked about how long she has been living in Thailand. Today the consular officer e-mailed, and it appears she is now in 221G administrative processing. They requested a Myanmar (Burma) Police Certificate, which the only way to get is to travel back to Myanmar and apply in person. With the current issues in Myanmar she would have to travel through technically a war zone to get to her village, which is not a Burmese village but a Karen village. We are trying to see if a relative still there can obtain one at the nearest Police center which is a 2 hour drive from her village, but as of this morning have not heard back. Does anybody have some information on how she could get the police clearance without risking her life to do so by driving back into Myanmar.
