  1. Hi folks, I've currently going through consular processing for my Visa and I had a quick Questions on the taxes that we have to pay - I want to know what is considered as the date on which you become eligible to pay taxes in the US: 1. The day that you get your passports from the embassy (with the initial entry permit) 2. The day you enter the US for the fist time on the entry permit 3. The day when you receive the green card
  2. Hi, I’m currently processing my GC via EB. It should be done within a few months, after which I would have 6 months to enter the US. Once it is done, I would make a trip to the US and then head back to my home country. I want to keep this trip to the US as short as possible: Does anyone know, after the Embassy approves your GC — how long after landing in the US — do you receive the physical green card? On the initial stamp, that the embassy provides, can I enter and exit the US multiple times?
  3. Hi, I’m currently applying for my EB visa. My EB visa interview was supposed to happen in India (home country) whilst my job was based in the Middle East (against which the EB visa is being processed). Additionally, I’ve been working remotely since covid from India with intermittent visits to the Middle East. However, recently I’ve transferred my case to the Middle East as the backlog there is lower, and plan on shifting to Middle East in a few months. However, I still don’t have a permanent address there and it’ll take a while to get it. Till I get a permanent place I’ll be splitting my time intermittently between India and various hotels in the Middle East. I wanted to know, now that I’ve shifted my case to the ME, and in my DS260 — need to give a Middle East Address. Is it possible to give a friends address (and move it from my Indian address)? This can be the location where I will receive all documentation etc. However, that’s not necessarily where I’ve as I’ll be splitting my time between various hotels in ME and India. Or should i simply specify a hotel's address where i'll be staying most frequently as the current address? Help appreciated.
