  1. I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving (those of us in the states anyway). I'm surprised that no one has any news to report, I was hoping that you all who are waiting would have heard something by now.

As much as I was hoping that perhaps they were mistaken about the Feb date...my fiance got his packet 4 a few days ago, and yes the date in Feb is confirmed. *sigh*

But, it's nice to see it in black and white, and have a date to look forward to. Good luck everyone, I really hope you all hear something soon!

you know what I just wish I have something to report..my fiance called the DOS today and still nothing yet....we don't have a clue what's going on in Montreal Consulate....i've been emotional this past week..this is definitely holding our lives....sigh...

I havent called in over a week, and I think I'm just going to stop for awhile. If you havent heard anything Angie, then I won't either * week and a half after you*

I'm pretty much useless these days...I don't know what they're doing in Montreal, but they're obviously not being overly productive.

I also got my schedule for January today for work...cut back to 72 hours for the whole month - boss wants to gove hours to those that are 'staying'. I have no idea what I'm going to do...

isn't it frustrating? i got similar problem like you do..you see, I quit my job 2 weeks ago,I've been putting up with the people I worked with for a long time ...but i've got it up over my head so I just quit as in I walked out in the middle of my working hours bec I told myself I wasn't staying anyways so I don't have to put up with them anymore...i was expecting to get an interview by Dec...and now it messed everything up...If I only knew that we wouldn't be hearing anything from Montreal until before Xmas I would've stayed in my job and stretched out my patience a little bit more..

and now I don't even know if I'll find a job or not (although i"ve been looking around.)because If I do, im not sure if im going to stay for long,,It wouldn't be fair for whoever is gonna hire me....

Im just trying to find a good reason as to why these are all happening to us...maybe there is a reasonable thing behind all these ..

you might think i'm insane but i'm just trying to calm myself down :bonk:

I hope there will be a good news for all of us this week...

  3. Well I can understand the holiday thing, but still not at least having our interviews scheduled? I just want the date so I can start figuring things out - including work (I'm lucky that I have an understanding boss :S), packing etc. 3 months on Monday since I sent my P3 - that's a bit ridiculous. And I will be quite miffed, and the coverletter than accomplinied my P3 said that it would take "2-3" months for the scheduling.

Well Montreal, you're time is almost up and I see you've done little...

I totally agree with you...It's like we're hanging on a cliff in here...I wish they'd be more organized or at least faster like the Vancouver consulate...

Its hard to make decisions because we don't have anything yet. an interview date would be enough to satisfy us..

  4. I agree to Kayl...i'd rather eat something fresh than canned and processed foods...we won't notice it but our body will pay off...

When it comes to budgeting my fiance leaves it all to me..he gives me his month's earnings and it's all up to me...even when we're apart,he sends me his cheque here in Canada and I deposit it to our joint account...

So,when it comes to grocery budgeting....I rule...he likes it that way

  5. you know what i am wondering the same thing...I noticed (based on the timelines) that there were a lot of couples scheduled for interview in Oct..I was optimistic ...but it seems that they stopped scheduling interview from there... i also noticed that people under IR-1/CR-1 are the only ones who have interview sked in Dec...As far as i know, the only couple under K1 who got the interview date are amy and david...and take note it's going to be on Feb 25,2009...it is still a long time to wait...As for the others including us, we have absolutely no idea what's going on..My fiance called the DOS yesterday and still nothing..

It's hard and annoying..If we only knew that it is going to take this long,we would've gotten married in April '08 like we planned...We choose to wait and go under the K1 visa because we were expecting to be together within 6 months of filing.

Montreal Consulate sure is holding people's lives in here...

  6. oh frazell..i really dont know what to say but calm down..it'll be alright.. maybe they just need more proof that you are not a a carrier..I felt the same way you're feeling bec when i went there for my medical, they sent me for a n echocardiogram bec I had a murmur in my heart and I have to wait for 2 months before I got my result..

in your case lets just hope it all turn out good...you'll be fine.but I know how hard it is not to think about it.. just relax..take a deep breath

  7. Well my fellow waitees......the big event has finally occurred. I called today and we have an interview date. That's the good news......and now for the bad news. It's FEBRUARY 25th.

On the one hand I am SO relieved to finally have a date....on the other..........I can't believe it is 3 months away. I feel like I'm shell shocked.

I was thinking January at the latest and now I know that he wont be home until March.....what a let down *sigh*

Good luck to the rest of us, and have a great weekend everyone.

WOW!!Congratulations!!! I got goose bumps when I read your post...we called today but we were told our interview has not been scheduled yet...we'll try again next week...It's a long wait though (can you imagine?!!) but at least you got your sked already...I'm so happy for you....

I bookmark this page to monitor us... let's keep this page alive...

  8. when i went to Dr. Seiden for my medical, all i need to show is the letter from my P3 showing my case number...you're good to go even you don't have an interview appointment yet

hey angie, when u made your appointment did u have to make it a huge time in advance or were they pretty open? is there a waiting list?

nope.that's what i did..I called right away when i recieved my P3 bec I thought i'd get an appoinment a 3 weeks or a month later..but the spots were pretty open..I called on a Wed..I got an appoinment on a Monday...hope you have yours as quick as mine too..good luck

  9. I think the reason why people just cross the street just like that is because they know the drivers are so considerate and nice...(at least they are from where I live,in Newmarket)....I dont just cross the street, I wait for the cars to go through first everytime, even in a not pedestrian lane..but from my experience, I dont remember how many times, but I'm sure it's a lot of times, drivers would stop if they see me in a corner waiting for my turn to cross...sometimes we're in there for 30 seconds using gestures of hands saying go ahead first..but I always loose..so I get to cross first.

  10. Hi,

My wife just received her results from her physical and was concerned about a box that was checked in the immunization record sheet.

Under "2. Results," "Vaccine history is incomplete" is checked. Then under that, "applicant may be eligible for blanket waivers because vaccination(s) not medically appropriate (as indicated above)"

There are 10 total vaccines that he checked, all with the reason of "Not age appropriate."

    The vaccines are:

    DT or DTP or DTaP

    Polio

    Rotavirus

    Hib

    Hepatitis A

    Hepatitis B

    meningococcal

    Zoster

    Pneumococcal

    Influenza

My wife has no vaccination record from China so she had to get titer tested for most. She only needed to get the HPV vaccine at the physical. I'm assuming these are vaccines that are given to kids hence the "not age appropriate." Am I correct? Is there anything to worry about going forward to the interview?

    Thanks for any help.

nothing to worry...I had no vaccination record too. I just re did everything..at least now I have my new immunization record

  11. I needed to change my address too while our case is being processed..but USCIS can not change it..so we tried to catch it at the NVC,but it was already sent to Montreal Consulate. I change my address through email twice and by letter once and I got a response through email saying they noted it on my file..still my Packet 3 was sent to my old address..then I sent another email changing my address again and asking them to send my P4 to my new address...I haven't got my P4 yet but I'm a little bit skeptical that they're gonna send it to my new address..so I what I did was, I just change address at the post office...i had to pay about $30 for 6 month service but I hope to receive my P4 at my new address

  12. I just notice that Montreal is scheduling interview for those IR-1/CR-1 filers..Most of them got Nov and Dec.i wonder when are they going to schedule an interview for K1 filers...

I am so bored waiting for it...I really can't wait...Vancouver is moving really fast...Montreal is such a slow poke...ugh!!

  13. they're right ..you have to complete everything before you go to your medical..in my case i didn't have the vaccination record because I wasn't born in Canada...so,I just re- did all of it..some shots have series..so you have to come back after a month or so...

just go to your family doctor, most of the shots are free...I was missing a shot when I went to my medical, I wanted to have it done at Dr. Seiden's but he told me to just go to my family doctor, so I can get it free...he's a nice guy

  14. same here..my boo called the DOS today but no interview sked yet.....im getting so impatient....I haven't seen my boo in 8 months..he wanted to come in summer but I told him we should wait for the interview..coz i was expecting an interview in sept..I just wish i let him come.. it is so hard to wait..if anyone get an interview please update us right away so we'll feel that there is hope..
