is it the 394x314 size? when I was getting ready for my interview I had a hard time looking for that envelope size I thought i doesn't exist, so I had to check hundreds of times what size really they were asking for..went to couple of Shoppers store and I finally found one and it was the last one....

I think they don't have it that much because not too many people use it

Just wanna ask .... for those who carried their husband's last name, did you guys file for AOS on your married name? or on your maiden name? im not sure what to do..please any advice

hey guys ..the title ask it all, the $1010 fee includes everything right? including fee for EAD and Advanced Parole? Just wanna make sure before I send in my AOS application...what if i don't need to apply for Advanced Parole? does it cut off a little bit from the fee? thanks for any infos

Doesn't change the fee not filing for AP. You MAY need it. I've seen people that said they didn't need it [ ] and didn't apply and a short time later were crying about how they could get it as a emergency popped up. Sh!t Happens.

That's what i thought too..... so if it doesnt change the fee then i'll go ahead and apply for AP...thanks for the reply...

hi folks, I applied for SSN today but I wasn't given a number, the lady said that they have to verify my documents with USCIS first before they can issue me SSN number and it will take about 4 weeks to do this... is this normal? I read some post in here and they didn't have problem getting one...

I am gathering all the requirements for my AOS, is it ok if I don't provide an SSN number on my I-485?

hello guys..I'm a bit lost..I am about to file my AOS but my medical (from K1) has already expired..should I get one done before I file for AOS or should I wait for instructions after I file for AOS?.thanks ..any advice will be highly appreciated

yeah i did..we actually bought our wedding ring today and it really helped like you said..i guess like everyone said, it will take time to adjust..and i'm just so thankful that i am a part of this VJ community which is a really big help in every step we take on our journey here in the U.S.

Thank you so much guys for the wonderful advice and suggestions..you all got me crying again but I feel better reading all these experiences from you..I haven't called my sister for a day because it's harder for both of us..( we have vonage for u(((nlimited calls) when we hear each other's voice we cry and cry on the phone..she even told me that everytime her front door opens , her kids would run towards the door and shout " Tita(that's how they call me)is here!!" and would be disappointed that it wasn't me..it breaks my heart..

I will take every suggestions and advice you guys gave me and try to be busy..the hard part is at night because I am alone (my fiancee is graveyard shift) but I will try to my best not to be depressed..

My sister have been crying too ever since I left. We were so close that It hurts to think that we are far away from each other now..We are like that show on TV "Hope and Faith". Exactly like that except I get along with her husband really good. We've been living together ever since we were kids until I got here. She always saves my butt and stand by me whatever...

Weather is nice in here but I don't mind freezing in Canada as long as I am with my warm, sweet and loving family..But i feel so bad for my fiance, he is doing everything he can to comfort me and please me because he doesn't want to see me crying...I love him so much and I don't know what I'm gonna do..The only thing I like in here is my fiance, nothing else..

I hope things will be better for me here...sorry guys...just wanted to share my feelings

LOL..I had the same problem, even got a mailing tube to put it in and bought different kinds of big envelopes and file folders..you name it I had it but ended up carrying it as is and they never ask for it....but some people put it in a big plastic bag , and they didn't have problem with the security.. I even saw a couple carrying the big box from Fedex..

I had taken pics with me - they had asked me to bring two. I know a lady that I spoke to while there had hers taken there. It was 5 days after that I got my Visa...I'm curious as to why they didnt ask you for pictures. I would email the consulate and see if they know anything - it may take a few days to get something back from them.

Do you have the tracking number from your envelope?

I was just reading this and wondering if because you have to upload a pic on the D-160 now, that they might just use that and not the passport pictures you bring to the interview? You could try tracking it on the CP website, but they're notoriously wrong and not updated often. I think it'll take about a week to receive your passport.

That is true Carla, though they did ask for one of my actual pictures to attach to my giant file I had to carry through customs...but that may be the answer there Angie

You guys are right...I am waiting for a week now ( well, blame it on the long weekend too, it was the only long weekend I didn't like..) and still waiting...i couldn't book my flight yet but I am trying to get myself occupied through packing my stuff..

I went to UPS yesterday and ask about shipping my other stuff with them,,,the guy told me that I'll pay around $200 if I have 50 kg..but I made sure that the receiver doesn't have to pay anything...and he gave me a form to fill up for "free entry"..so, that's what i'm gonna do..the rest of my stuff I'll just take with me.I am flying and I want to make sure that my stuff won't exceed the maximum weight allowed, because they charge to much....
