I remembered one VJ member submitted his Pakistani passport to consulate for visa and was put in AP. He used his Canadian passport for travelling. Visa was stamped on his country of origin passport. There will be no issue if the visa is issued on other passport and you use Canadian passport for travelling.

In our case it took approx. 9 months for both resume and ds-5535

AI and Robotics is the reason for Resume and DS-5535 is given due to your country of chargeability and being male applicant(if applicable)

In our case CO did not ask for any documents related to AP. Just told us to wait for the email.

Now a days case is cleared in one unsolicited update from State Dept. Some folks are getting passport request next day after first unsolicited update. Rest of the updates if any are related to consulate internal review of the case. Our case was cleared in the third week of June as per annotation on visa but we received passport request email in the first week of July after 4 more unsolicited updates.

In our case, consulate did not ask for new photographs although pic they scanned during interview were older than 6 months. We sent them new photographs without asking them and they put the same on visa. Hope this will help

Definitely, you would need new medical unless there is change in medical validity rules. Visa expiry date is exactly 6 months after your medical date

Just login to your usvisa-info account that you set up before interview. They have instructions on how to send your passport to consulate and you can also change passport return address using the same site: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/iv/users/sign_in

It does not seem to be consulate issue. It is also confirmed by @cala2023 also. May be book an appointment with Toronto doctor and bring everything with you like vaccination records etc.

You can upload the birth certificate and marriage certificate with different surnames. Once approved you need to follow country specific list for civil documents. I believed you need only birth certificate and marriage certificate(including English Translation for both if applicable) of your mother at I-130 stage. I would not upload mother passport if not asked for. Other civil documents are required once your case is sent to NVC stage after I-130 approval.

Are you located in Ontario? May be different clinics have different procedures to handle appointments for re-medical. I still feels this issue should be handled by doctor's office. Their system is integrated with consulate medical result receiving system and we know nothing about it. Also there were no instructions in the document request email other than the link to the list and addresses of panel doctors. Sending email to consulate by you might speed up the appointment process. We booked the appointment with same clinic and they were able to accommodate us this week and medical was quick as they already got vaccinations and other record from last year medical. They will redo the X-ray and blood work. Doctor's office told us that they will send our Medical results electronically to consulate next week. Doctor did not mention anything if their system needs updating. You need to email/show them Medical request email only.

You may get email in a week if you got 3 or more updates in 2-3 weeks. But no of updates vary case by case.

Just email consulate for status and telling them you provided all documents and waiting for your visa to be issue. Have doctor office confirmed you that they have submitted medical result to consulate? The doctor we went for medical sent us the confirming email that medical results have been electronically submitted to embassy?

The embassy may have handed over your passport to courier service. The delay may be due to courier service as they email you the tracking information just 1-2 days before you receive your passport. I would suggest contacting the courier services first. There has been discussion about how to contact that service in the part 3 of DS-5535 thread or you can browse their web site where you register for passport return service.

Congrats!! How come you got your visa stamped in 3 days? Did you submit your passport in person?

You do not need to repeat the immunity test again or vaccinations except for COVID (Booster is due within the year of next medical). X-RAY, Blood work and Physical/Mental health checks will be done again.

yes - We booked a medical appointment today and the reply email from doctor's office says about this new requirement. Medical is valid for 6 months. Your visa expiry would be same as Medical expiry.

It is better to complete AP. Medical appointments are usually available in few days if you are willing to go to clinic at the first available slot. In the meantime you can complete the next COVID booster if applicable which is due with in a year of your next Medical appointment as per new CDC requirements.

Just want to share an update. Today, We received email from usvisa-info.com to send documents (passport and medical). We have been in AP for exactly 9 months There have been 4 updates to our case in last 2 weeks followed by today's email and another update.

I am not tracking the DQ - interview time this year. My parents were DQ in the middle of May and they got interview email in August for early October interview last year.
