@Simplytex Thank you very much for sharing, very helpful! I requested my transfer to either Almaty or Bishkek, will provide an update for others once I hear back. Congrats to you and your wife and even though they didn't say welcome, let me say to you both welcome to America!!!

I would echo what @TBoneTXsaid about at least trying.
Also, while I completely empathize with cyberknight's situation, I have also been in touch with a couple who went through the same embassy in February as well without issue, and there have been a couple other folks as well.
My wife and I will be there in three weeks, so hopefully can give our account of it as well.
Hi @Simplytex, just wanted to see if you have gone to Almaty and if so what was your experience?

@Olga88 Congrats on completing this journey! I'm looking at transferring our case to Kyrgyzstan, would you be able to please provide further details on your experience? Not too much info on this but would appreciate further detail on the following:
- The Interview - Was it in Russian, did they ask many questions, is there a private room where the interview takes place, was the Consulate Officer friendly, how long was the interview?
- Post Interview - How long did it take for them to stamp your passport with a visa, did you have to pick it up from a specific place?
Any additional information you can provide would be much appreciated!
Thank you

Related to the medical topic, does anyone know if the medical exam can be done in Russia as there are approved medical centers there or does it need to be done in Jerusalem?
