Hi everyone,

I called the USE today and got a wonderful news from Grace. After 2 weeks of waiting under AR/Document Verification finally my visa was printed and for release today too She asked me for my complete address and wait for Delbros text message and delivery as well.

God is so wonderful and He listened to my prayers! "Knock and you will be opened.. Seek and you will find"... Now that's a miracle and blessing for me and my fiance!

update..

230pm i got off the fon with lorraine. i know some caught her in a bad mood. when its my turn to call her, i didnt feel intimidated but instead i prayed first and ask God to bless lorraine with good mood.

this is how the conversation went... good afternoon ma'am grace.. she said this is not grace (though im sure lorraine is the one on the fon).. i said oh im sorry let me rewind (to cheer her up) good afternoon ma'am lorraine, my case number is MNL 2008******** and my name is Loterly ****. ma'am grace's last friday's update to me was my visa has been approved for printing and she asked me to call today to know if it had been printed and sent to delbros for delivery. would u be kind enough ma'am lorraine to give me a better update today? (i didnt give her the chance to talk ) she said, well miss loterly*** yes your visa has already been printed today and as of now we are preparing the packet as of now and send it to delbros for delivery since you were not approved for a visa pick up. it will take 1-2 days to prepare everything to include on your packet. just wait for delbros to text you in few days for delivery infos.. then i said " oh that is the greatest update i heard ma'am lorraine, thank you so much.. she said youre welcome.. i said "ma'am lorraine will i make you upset if i call again tomorrow for a follow up? she said you may call but just the same you wont get infos from us abt your delivery date, you have to wait for a text from delbros. i said, ok i understand ma'am lorraine and thank you for taking time to give me an update. have a great day ma'am goodbye, and she said "you too bye"

thats it friends, maybe you can try that script too.. just continue to talk nicely coz it really pays well. pray first, i guarantee your prayers can change her mood. if she doesnt like giving infos, then instead we give her the infos... dont let anyone initimidate you even if theyre kinda not so nice, but hey cheer up, we r not after with their moods (lets be considerate coz there are thousands of papers everyday for them to process, they get tired too ), we just want to know abt our visa status right?? stay focus. dont get depressed, we can call again tomorrow even if she said next week. let noone stop you from making that calls, follow up pls so u are not clueless..

by the way, they send visa packet to delbros every 430pm im gonna call delbros 4:55pm, nothing important but just to see how fast it can get to delbros from usem. hehehe

That was so cool! I know you'll be getting your visa very soon. Congratulations!! I think I have a phobia with Loraine but I understand her because of the tones of inquiries with them everyday. I admire the patience of Grace even though I haven't seen her personally, I feel she's so patient and never get tired of giving infos She talk politely too. Thanks for you help Loterly. hello guys!

yup its been 2 weeks since my interview april 23 and i guess i am on the AR roll. am really just wondering what makes one a candidate for AR? why do others get their visas in 3-5 days while others like me are put on AR? to those who have been waiting for 2 weeks or more, do you have problems at NSO? as for me, i had a problem with my birth certificate but i was able to have my name fixed last february 2008. that was months before my interview. it was a good thing i learned about the document verification process early on so i still had time to fix up my bc. i was able to get an annotated BC from NSO before my interview and that was the same one i submitted to the pre-screener. now am thinking that might be a factor that's why i am on AR? the fact that my BC was only fixed up this year? maybe its taking NSO a longer time checking up my docs due to the corrections on my name?

can those who took a long time waiting also for their visa share what factors may have cause the delay? maybe this would help those vjers who are still starting their journey so that they won't be held in AR too.

Did you got a white sheet that's checked "Wait to hear from us" aside from the pink copy that you have to pay to the Delbros delivery? If you did you're under AR/Document Verification. But if the CO told you that you're approved and wait for your visa delivery then wait for Delbros to send you a text message for your visa. Usually applicants got their visas few days or two weeks after being approved. I think there's a delay on printing the visa too.

I'm on AR/Document Verification too and I don't think I have problems with my Birth Certificate and CENOMAR. I don't know exactly the reason what make one a candidate for AR. I was interviewed on 4/22 and I noticed most of us were under AR but some few who don't have documents verified were issued visas instantly in 2 to 3 days. I met one applicant at St. Lukes that we had the same shedule for interview and she said she paid her Debros document verification first week of April. She's not even aware of the document verification process yet she was so lucky that she only got her visa in 3 days and she's from Cebu. One VJ member here too got her visa in 4 days even though the NSO only forwarded her verified documents at the USE on 4/14 (same as me). I'm puzzled about that.. I was thinking if they treat each applicants fairly and what's the main reason for pending visas.

I'm still waiting and hoping for the good news though. In God's will I'll be with my future husband soon who's patiently waiting for me

We don't have any choice but to wait and pray hard God will all help us!

I wanted everyone to know that my fiance and I entered the US on 5/2.

My fiance received her visa on 4/26 and her interview was on 4/22.

There were no problems with the POE at Los Angeles Airport. We fell in line at the visitors line and the immigration officer was very nice and friendly.

I callled embassy today at 8:50 am and talked to Grace..i dialed the number that loterly_richard posted on her profile...and you know what i dialed many times that number ..it took almost 10 minutes before Grace pick it up..i asked her about the status of my visa..she told me that they will release it before early friday next week because it's holiday tomorrow...so hopefully we can receive a text from delbros next week..

those you are in the list of april 21 that your name was sent to nso you can try calling embassy manila now becuase i am in that list also...

We can do all things through Christ who strengthen us..Thank God for the blessing we received this morning!! GOD MERCY ENDURES FOREVER!!

I'm not under AR and thank God for that..delbros sent my name to nso last april 21 for document verification..my visa was not delayed it's just an exact time that we were expecting to come..dont wait that embassy will contact you to inform you about the status of your visa because they will never going to do that ..call them as soon as you can for you to know the status of your visa now..as what we did this morning.. Jesus loves us all!!

Thanks for the info I guess you went to the right window (31) even though your documents are not verified yet. I called Grace yesterday and asked her about my visa status. Thank God the NSO forwarded my documents that was already verified. Now I'm still waiting for the Consular review and then print my visa and to finally forward it to Delbros for delivery.

I CALLED UP USEM TODAY EXACTLY 1:30PM MANILA, I USED 3012000 7 5184# AND I HIT ZERO AS IN LOTS OF TIMES. I DIDNT GIVE UP FOR LIKE 15 MINS STRAIGHT. AND IT PAID OFF, WHILE I WAS WAITING FOR GRACE TO PICK UP, I WAS PRAYING OUT LOUD TO GOD THAT I HAVE TO HEAR A GOOD NEWS FOR MY CO-VJERS TO GIVE US BLESSINGS TODAY.

AND YES CO-VJERS MY VERIFIED DOCS FROM NSO WAS ALREADY AT THE USEM. YIPEEE THAT MEANS WITHIN THIS WEEK DELBROS WILL TEXT ME BUT WE WILL NOT WAIT FOR DELBROS TO TEXT US RIGHT VJERS? WE WILL CALL THE DELBROS VISA DELIVERY AT 3392761 LOCAL 127 OR 118 SO WE WOULD KNOW AT ONCE TO WHEN THEY WILL SEND OUT THEIR DISPATCHERS TO DELIVER OUR PIZZA... OOOOOOPS I MEAN VISA.

BUT THIS IS MY REALLY GOOD NEWS, GOD ALREADY SHOWED HIS BLESSING TO "SUGARPLUM" APRIL 4 INTERVIEW DATE AND BELONGS TO APRIL 14 NSO LIST.

around 11:30 am today,i was eating my lunch,..then my sister called me that joyce you have the delivery of ur visa...i got surprise cause i did not expect it today...i was thinking nextweek pa...god is always good...god never fail us...

If you fill out some of the details like you mention it should be OK. I have once in a while left out a few details and then hand filled them when I got the info. I have also heard of people not seeing their interview dates on the consulate website, what's more important is the letter form the consulate telling you about the interview. Good Luck

Hi everyone,

I got the documents that I need from my fiance today and I noticed he missed filling out some few blanks on the I-134

Form like my age and my Middle name and a little error on my address as well. He hand written this all and got it notarized. I told him about this and he said he missed that cuz he supposed to ask me about my middle name and he said I can fill that out though. Do you think that's okay if I fill out those blanks with different handwriting? or will I leave it alone and ask them if I can fill it out on the day of my interview?

Also, I got an email confirmation on March 19 about my Interview schedule on April 22 and when I checked it with my case number online it doesn't show anything there. Do I have to call the US Embassy about that?

We had our interview this afternoon and it was pretty easy. I'm here in Costa Rica for only 3 more days, so I won't go into details now, but I'll post a full report when I get home on Tuesday.

But it went very well.

My fiancee and I want to thank everybody who helped us along the way. And to those of you who I was bugging with silly questions on a daily basis (you know who you are) we want to send a special thank you.

One suggestion for those prepping for their interview: Know your fiance(e)'s first and last name. There was a couple before us. She was asked to fill out a paper with her "fiance's first and last name" and she didn't know. The lady said (exact quote) "How can you pretend to know him and want to go to the US if you don't know his last name" everybody was laughing at that one.

You should call the NVC when they forwarded your case at the USE then call the USE if they received it too. Once the USE received your case it won't take long to verify it then call them and ask for your PE and Appointment for Interview. Ask them to email you the Confirmation Letter because you need to show this during your PE at St. Lukes.

The girl I talked with at the USE Call Center said that they won't send packet for K-1 but can be downloaded at their website. I didn't know about their new procedure and good it's nice I called them. Also I was curious about the Delbros if all K-1 Applicants need to pay the Document Verification Fee a month after the interview but they said I should call the USE first before paying or I will refund the fee I deposited. So I called the USE again and the girl said that it depends on the Consul and if my documents need to be verified and it's okay to pay during the day of the interview and it won't cause any delay for the visa.

NO, Only if the petition makes it to the consulate and they interview, and then deny a visa are you considered to be refused a visa. In your case, USCIS denied the petition long before it made it to the consulate to be refused.

That question mostly has to do with a person having a tourist, business, or student visa application refused at the consulate.

I'm filling out a DS-156 Form and there's a #31 question that asks "Have you ever been refused a U.S. Visa?"

My fiance tried applying the first time for K-1 Visa at USCIS even we didn't met yet in person and cuz he have a problem travelling for long hours on a plane. But the USCIS denied our petition and that they said we should meet first, so he went to my country (with the help of his doctor) and we filed the second time and our petition was approved.

Does our first time application at USCIS means a refusal of Visa?

I'm one of those who are scheduled for April 22, 2008 Interview at USEM. I thought I should wait for my packet but it's good thing I called them and they informed me that I already have a schedule for Interview The girl was so friendly and she emailed me my Confirmation number and Apoointment Letter so I can show it to the St. Lukes. She said I should have my PE one week before my interview. Now, I'm getting nervous.

The US Embassy said they process Approved Petitions forwarded by NVC 120 days until the Interview. But that's not too long from now though

Thanks! It's nice that they told you they already forwarded your case at the USEM even though you did't get any Notice from them yet.

I called them but they said our papers is still at the Administrative Office. Geez..

Theres nothing to worry. Basically, they will just inform you that they have created a case record with your petition information and that they will send the petition to the US Embassy in Manila, Philippines within a week and they provide your case number that begins with MNL2008XXXXXX.
