  1. To answer your question from the dec group, the next steps are found on page one of this thread. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfin98c33IEpB0T0FlURERriblYmlm5O/view?usp=sharing
  2. Seems like April group will move faster than us March people which hopefully means less backlog for those after as well. Good luck!! 😊😊
  3. You do the DHL hack tho from the calendar maybe yours will get shipped next week. Then DS 160, schedule interview (depends on your consulate so look for others from Ghana or ask), etc. Good luck, keep us posted and congrats!!
  4. Haha it’s actually a good assumption since you have a USCIS shipping date. When I tried to get mine, they said it was not sent 🫣🫣. But NVC received it (allegedly). Gotta love the system!!!
  5. Did they specifically say it was received this week? Just curious as none of my responses from NVC mentioned a receipt date or even week. They just said: recently 😅
  6. Soo USCIS agents (phone and ask Emma) keep saying that our case wasn’t sent but NVC says they received it…who is lying? 🙁🙁
  7. Some consulate you can do before. Others you must wait but I would say for Ghana once “ready” you can so the DS-160 and look for appointments. I was reading a thread from Doha embassy and they book your visa appointment but I don’t think Ghana does. Perhaps contact other Ghanaians on here directly and find out.
  8. Hi. I suggest you join the April 2023 to NVC thread. Someone here who knows how to add links can help. Also generally helpful to read and search this website as it’s full of good info. To answer your question: you will get an email. The wait time is around 90 days but maybe you’ll get lucky and yes you should send inquiries to NVC about your case number (all is explained in the monthly group threads which I would look at even those before your time). Most of us are still waiting and got approved before you. Best of luck!
  9. From what I have read it is extended by consulate without having to ask. Also your NOA2 is about the same as ours and our expiration date is mid-July. I hope that we all in the march group at least have an interview date (even if after July as is most likely now 😞😞)
  10. Might be true. Might not. That’s the frustrating part in all of this. The utter helplessness and logic of the process. I hope for all of us that their backlogs are sorted out. There is a person in the December group that hasn’t even gotten their NO2. It’s heartbreaking. on a positive note, you’re close to day 90 so let’s pray that person spoke the truth!
  11. Hang in there everyone! Finally got a response to my millionth inquiry that our petition is at NVC but not entered. I thank the god of small mercies. Today is day 81.
  12. I think NVC has had enough of my emails…I got this reply today (day 70)… The National Visa Center (NVC) received your previous inquiry regarding the status of your visa petition. We previously reached out to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to locate your petition, but have not received a reply. If you have not received an update on your case in the next 30 days, please contact us again. —- So the wait continues…only 20 more days to 90!!!!😒😅
  13. Good to know that fellow march filers are getting their case numbers/file at NVC. This is giving us hope that this week or next, we shall have ours. We are at day 68 today. Of course, hoping for faster consulate appointment but who knows 😅😅😅😅
  14. I also made an inquiry Monday and just received the usual we don’t have your case and will follow up with USCIS. So bummed but such is life.
  15. Hang in there!!! These last months have been so hard on us as well (and I’m sure many others on VJ). It’s so hard living in limbo and at the whim of the immigration system but I keep telling myself it will be worth it and a story for our kids about perseverance. Wish you much luck @TannerH
  16. Thank you for this update and info trick. I was hopeful I would have the same “good ish” news since our NOA2 are the same date, however alas when I called USCIS said they don’t see anything being done on our file since 17 march and to wait 90 days 😭😭😭. patience and courage to us all 🙏🏾
  17. Another response to my inquiry saying that our case has not been received. NOA2 17 march on paper and 20 march in the app… i will try again on day 60 😩.
  18. Congrats on passing another stage! also thanks for sharing. This is useful as not far from 50 days and all my inquiries have been negative receipt. I see in other forums though people saying 60 days so hoping to hear in the next 2 weeks. Either way we will all eventually get past the NVC stage 🙏🏽🤞🏽
  19. Maybe. Urgh so annoying that they did this. It already involved so much gymnastics flying to ghana for this police certificate.
  20. Thanks Chancy…even if this police certificate has his picture on it? And all three other names correct?
  21. Hello, my fiancé received his police certificate which we had to take a plane to go get and wait a month for - sadly they misspelled his surname. A while Letter wrong! Think “Drown” instead of Brown. Can we write a letter of explanation as our case is about to leave NVC? Any advice would be appreciated.
  22. Congratulations @mw & rg k1🎊🎊. Let’s hope the rest of the process is smooth sailing!
  23. Hi guys! Happy to join this group! NOA2- 20 march. Bit murky on what the next steps are but I’m sure I’ll figure it out from VJ 🤓
  24. Thanks you! Yours is coming!! Hang in there. I obsessively refresh the case tracker app and that’s how I saw it🤓
  25. Well…we were approved yesterday!!!🥳🥳🥳 beyond excited. 13 days after they said they received our RFE🤩🤩. I also saw a lot of people in my range get approved so good luck to those still waiting! I’m sure approvals are coming!!
