  1. Hi all! Sorry if this was covered and I missed it. Once in the US can our fiance(e)s get their remaining vaccines at any location of their choice or do they need to go somewhere in the US that is a civil surgeon approved location? IE can they just go to CVS to get whatever vaccines are needed and then submit those records as part of the AOS filing?
  2. It took us 12 days after paying and requesting access. I've heard some people take significantly longer and it doesn't appear that there is any real reason.
  3. The requirements are somewhat Embassy-specific. We have everything that VJ suggested on the DR page plus we have travel itineraries, money transfer receipts, gift receipts (flowers, etc), resumes, etc.
  4. The December dates for DR will probably be released on October 4 at 8am based on what I have seen. You can always get a December date then and then keep watching for an earlier date too. My fiance is doing biometrics Monday so that part is done and then we can keep an eye on appointments to try to get something sooner.
  5. I found one this morning for 11/22! I've been looking a few times a day. I'll send you a message too.
  6. Not yet. I have been logging in a few times a day to try to get lucky. A few folks snagged some this week for the last week of September so I’m hopeful for something in October.
  7. Hmmm when I went through (DR Embassy) we submitted the DS-160 as soon as we were ready then went to USTravelDocs and entered all of the info in the profile and then selected the Immigrant/K-1 option and followed the steps to payment and then it took 12 days to get access to the calendar. If you can't get past a certain portion I'd reach out to the Embassy. They should have a US and an Embassy-local phone number or you can use the chat function from their USTravelDocs Embassy site.
  8. I feel your pain! I'm waiting for access to the schedule in the DR. We submitted the DS-160 and paid the visa fee on Sept 1 and still nothing! A few people have gotten access though so I'm hopeful that we can get in soon! I'm a very patient person but this is tryinggggggggg!
  9. Based on what I have seen they are, yes, extending them automatically.
  10. Waiting for USTravelDocs to approve us to access the calendar is excruciating!!! Hopeful that it is today so we can schedule biometrics and visa appointment.
  11. Does anyone have any idea about how long it takes to get approval to schedule biometrics/visa appointment after paying for the visa fee on US TravelDocs site?
  12. I messaged some folks who had been approved in June and July and it looks like they didn't ask them for the I-134 at all. Nonetheless, I think that with the form and what I do have, I should be more than okay. Thanks, as always, for your thoughts!
  13. Good idea will do! I have the two bank letters that I mentioned, an income/status verification letter from my job, three years of tax transcripts, and a rolling set of 6 paystubs so I don't think I have anything to worry about but don't want to have that be the piece that is asked for and causes an issue. Thanks for your suggestion!
  14. I think we have our packet finished for our interview (hoping for November?!) except for the couple of forms that we won't have until they've been provided or finished soon. One question that I do have - I have two letters from my bank (one from April and one from August) but neither one is signed. They're both on official bank letterhead and I kept the mailing envelope from the second one and have it in the binder sleeve. Is it an issue that they aren't signed? My bank doesn't have physical branches anywhere near me but don't want to get denied since it's not signed. Also seems like the I-134 review likely isn't super rigorous and I'd think it's not really a big issue based on my salary (with proof) but just wanted to see if anyone had any insight. Trying to make sure we have everything in line so we don't get rejected! (And I might have already asked this a while back but forgot the answer) Thanks all!
  15. I apologize if this has been covered ad nauseam but if I am going to fly to the DR to come back to the US with my fiance; when filling out the DS-160 do we need to select "yes" for Travel Companions and then enter my information?
  16. I have VJ set so that they email me when someone with a similar case to ours edits their timeline and then I've popped over to their profile to see what their dates are. I've interacted with a few of them directly on their profiles to ask a few questions, including when they were able to schedule. You can get some general wait times at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/wait-times.html but they don't typically include the K categories.
  17. Amazing! Fingers crossed for an appointment that isn't too far out! Based on what I'm seeing for the DR it looks like we'll be lucky to get a November appointment once ours sends which is why I was REALLY hoping it would have gone this week!
  18. Our case is showing "At NVC" now. Hoping we get sent on the 29th! We got our case number via public inquiry (on the third try). Keep reaching out to get your case numbers as it seems that the emails aren't getting pushed out when they create the cases. Doesn't speed the process obviously but certainly offers some peace of mind that it's been entered and we can track it.
  19. The page at https://do.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee/the-interview/ states that a DS-260 is needed. Is that an error? Assuming that it is an error as everything I've read absolutely everywhere states that a K1 visa uses the DS-160. Hoping to have our NVC process finished soon and on to the embassy but just wanted to get some clarification from the community. Don't want to end up filling out and paying for the wrong form! Thanks, Jason
  20. Even though the increase is relatively trivial, have your beneficiaries completed the DS-160 to pay the lower rate ahead of the increase tomorrow or what is the guidance that everyone has seen? Not sure if it is worth doing now or if we should just wait until we have confirmation that the NVC has received our case? From what I'm seeing and learning, the completed DS-160 is valid for 1 year?
  21. Looks that way! I see some approvals from May 17 that were processed today. Hopefully they start to really pick up now.
  22. Howdy!  Congrats on your process thus far!  Super exciting!  Hoping to not be too far behind you.  Question - are you both going to be attending the interview (assuming it is in Santo Domingo) or will only the beneficiary be going?  I read that on this sites info about the SD office that both should be there but I'm not seeing it anywhere else so just curious what your plans were.  Thanks! -Jason

      Hello there!

So my fiancé’s K1 visa interview was located in Santo Domingo and I was able to attend the interview as well. Best of luck on the next stages of your visa process!

Me again - sorry to be annoying!  Since you recently went though this I wanted to ask someone with firsthand experience.  When you two went to your interview in SD did they issue the visa right away or did it get sent via post/picked up at a later date?  If later, about how long did it take?  Working on our timeline so we can be prepared once we have our interview scheduled.  Thanks!
