  1. Congrats on your progress! We have the same NOA1 date, after many weeks of bugging USCIS and my congressmen, we are still waiting for NOA2. Is there anyone else from January still waiting for NOA2?
  2. Im Jan 12 NOA1 and agree that WAC skips weeks. Everyone that is jan 20 or later is receiving NOA2. After looking at info from apps and online it is clear that WAC skips weeks, all visa types , not only K1 are skipped between Jan 4 and Jan 19. I think tour week got skipped as well. Its hard to fathom how this happens. Perhaps our case were given to the slowest employee or they have other complicated cases to complete?
  3. I am sorry I did not provide an explanation of my experience. My fiance was disabled "deaf". At the interview they did not ask any questions. They just approved without a word. I think they were worried about legal issues involving disabilities. Of course , everyone's circumstances are different.
  4. I would do the interview as scheduled. If she is disabled the Consular officers wont ask her any questions and just approve the visa.
  5. Yep valid points. I appreciate your time. I hope things are progressing normally for you. We are still waiting on NOA2 from Jan 13. 20 years ago, previous K1 went through in 3 months and we were married for 16 years. Perhaps, It went faster then because I was in the military. Seems like USCIS and everything else worked mellifluously back then before the incompetent work force took control of the majority of tasks. Any appropriate CS is becoming non-existent.
  6. if Processing time is shown to be 16 months, for a Jan 2023 NOA1 i should be able to submit an inquiry in April 2024. But why is my "Allowed inquiry" date August 2024...... 20 months from my NOA1?
  7. I sent a letter to my congressman. Hope something happens soon! We have a complicated case with a history for me the petitioner involving previous K1 from 20 years ago, divorce and DUI...:( Perhaps this is holding things up?
  8. Is it a fact that they see a memo of denied inquiry? Maybe it was a coincidence for you? I read that i cannot contact my representative until case is beyond normal processing times which is 16 month. On the USCIS website they say i have to wait until August (18 months) before contacting them......
  9. How do I make an inquiry? I tried something and got shutdown saying "your case is under normal processing times"
  10. Are there any January filers stil waiting for NOA2? Our NOA1 was Jan 13
  11. Dont you need to be at the NVC phase to put in a a public inquiry?
  12. Wow, thats rather Snippy! No that didnt happen in my case. I dont know where to begin but wont waste my time on addressing all of these judgmental comments. I thought we were here to provide solutions for each other?. This is all hard enough with USCIS. As there are no perfect parents nor children....... Do you suggest consulting with children between the ages of 4-6 about your marriage plans? Do you think perhaps there is an ex-spouse involved that may not agree to taking the children off to far away countries? I am thankful for those of you sharing your experiences but some members need to get off the pedestal before you fall off........I won be asking anymore advice . Thank you all for a horrible experience with my first post on this forum .
  13. I was not intentionally ignoring you, just looking for more experiences. Its tiresome when people who have no kids start talking about what should have been done. Honestly i expected more from this group, didnt expect to be quickly judged by people with no context nor experience. I regret ever asking for advice. But You get a trophy, your reply was helpful!
  14. Could someone with children, that has been through what I am talking about offer some advice please?
  15. Its hard for me to believe that no one has ever brought this up. Its a little selfish to not consider the children involved in this.
  16. Just a little over 1 year, but but children have never been together
  17. Perhaps you should read my question again. We are not trying to decide if we want to marry and live together. We are concerned about the children acclimating to new life With new brothers and sisters and new parents. If you dont have kids , you cant possibly offer any help and should just scroll past these types of posts........
  18. We have been together for weeks at a time. Usually on holiday. Fun Fun, fantasy land. Living together is real life.
  19. My Fiance and i Have been together for more than 4 years. Waiting since Covid that really kept us apart. Now that is all over and NOA2 is hopefully comig soon we have been discussing movig fwd about living together. Has anyone considered having the beneficiary live in a different house or a hotel to help acclimate the reality of living together? We both have children that also need to go through this acclimation process so its not as easy as dealing with 2 adults learning to live together. Thoughts please?????
  20. I was hoping to find out if there are any issues using certified mail or registered mail to the USCIS lockbox in Dallas. Seeems like a signature is required, lockbox has people there to sign for a package ? I have not mailed the 129f yet. Looking for the safest way that wont cause delays since you know USCIS..... Thanks!
