  2. yes we called last week and also we live in the wrong voting district for the congressman that was so willing to help us.......after he found out we are not in his voting district that was the end of that .........

    Sara,

Did you get any touches after you called ???? Everytime my SO called we were touched .......I feel almost happy now that we got RFE even if we do not know what it is yet ...If I was you I think I would try calling them once a week ....not sure if it helps .....but you have both waited so long ...they have to do something

  3. Tony, the woman has children by the American man. Irregardless, the man has an obligation to his children. Whether it is in a foreign country or here.

The fact they both have children together implies there was an authentic relationship between them.

So to me, it sounds like man got cold feet and decided he wanted to live solo in the US.

She can still take her kids with her back to her original country. That shouldnt be a problem And you'd be surprised what a person would do for a GC. Dropping a couple of kids was probably worth it for her.

    Tony,

How can you make such a judgment without all the story and without knowing the person !!!!!!!!!! It is so awful thing to say

  4. Well the lady my SO spoke to could not say what the RFE was for...She was very nice but did not have access to that information...But thanks to you all and to my lovely SO I do feel better today...After all it is true ...Someone is really working on our file now (which was actually touched again today).

I am sure that when we send back whatever they want ...it will finally go faster and we will start seeing the light at the end of the tunnel :jest:

  6. Well my SO called CSC last Wednesday and was told that we should get approval within one to two days and if not to call back today........ I was so happy !!!

Well as nothing came he called back today to be told to wait at least another 30 days before calling again !!!!!!!!! :(

I am so upset and depressed ...he called me from work but I will tell him to call congressman if we do not have anything by next Wednesday ...

Well update he just called me back and he will try to contact Harry Reid who is senator........do you think it is good idea ?

  7. Hi cca,

We filed at CSC in middle of October and unfortunately we are still waiting. You might get lucky but as you have guests and family involved I would not take the chance to plan wedding date. We ourselves plan to get married on 08/08/08 and not so sure it will go ahead.

We personally only send 1 biographical form for each.

I went to the USA in December and did not have any problems

Good luck in your journey and all the best

  8. I think it's important to take into consideration that sometimes people from another country or culture, especially when English isnt their first language, may not intend to mean things as we perhaps interpret them. Then again... they might. ;)

It works the other way as well. ;) Perhaps taking our time to choose our words better for the consideration of all would be a good idea for everyone.

We are all dealing with high emotions here and, to many of us, the timelines are that one connection we have that proves things are actually moving.

We are all bound to have frustrations with the process and with each other but remaining amicable and civil to those going through this process with us is of utmost importance. We are the only support we have to get through this.

I fully agree with that ...i am french national myself ....living in the uk and my English is i think OK...but i can sometimes make mistake also ....and people don't really get what I say :star:
