Update: I received my EAD and SSN today!
From biometrics till having the EAD and SSN in my hands only took 1 week (Dec 5 - biometrics). I'm honestly quite shocked by how quickly it got processed but nonetheless very grateful and glad I got it this fast. Hopefully everyone who's still waiting will get theirs soon!! 🙏🤞
Also, I did apply for AP as well but it didn't get approved with my EAD - still pending.
Congratulations! 😊

The boredom is really setting in, annoying having to turn down job offers because of no certainty when I will get my EAD. 😞
I ended up sending an expedite this morning, not expecting anything to come from it but that won't stop me applying again and again until they give in. Did you get a confirmation email from them after you expedited or has it been complete radio silence since the 2nd?
Ah man. Yeah it sucks. I have a job offer from November - they're waiting patiently for me though. 😃
Nice one on the expedite.
I didn't receive a confirmation email. I was surprised by that. But it's clearly in their system - I spoke to AskEmma today for an update, here's what they shared:
Not sure what to make of 'should'.

How are you dealing with the EAD wait? @Nylar
I've received no update since expediting on the 2nd December.

Hey just wondering, I received my NOAs in the mail today, and requested the online access as mentioned on this forum, but do I still need to wait for my case to change to biometrics requested? I know it is being waived in some instances so just trying to figure out my next steps
Once you receive your online access code (should be within 24 hours if you followed this link), you'll then be able to log in and see what the status is for each of your cases. Anything about your biometrics appointment being scheduled will be on there before it's sent via post!

I've reached out to my local congressman and senator to speed up my I-765 being produced. Seriously need it soon. (I have a job offer + increasing financial hardship)
-
@Nylar Found this interesting - https://www.casestatusext.com/i765
If you go to IOE, and then check the first few digits of your IOE you can see how many i-765's have been approved if in a similar IOE. I'm keeping a close eye to the 2nd graph on the IOE tab - which is the daily stats for EAD's produced/sent/issued etc.
Mine is IOE-09-183 by the way.

Not getting that same/next day approval for EAD a few other people have had has me assuming that I am in it for the long haul. 😞
I'm sure we will get news this week.
I think unfortunately we fell after Thanksgiving, so hopefully we will have everything sorted before the Christmas holidays.

When did you send your documents? I wonder how much time it took them to look at them and send you RFE. Also, how much time did they give you to respond to the RFE?
Hey! My docs arrived with USCIS Nov 4. I supposedly was issued the RFE on Nov 25, but I responded to it online on the 30th (last night). This morning it was updated to received by USCIS. I was given until February 20th to respond.

Hi, question: Did you attached form G1145 to your package?
I did but I don't think it worked for me. I didn't receive text updates.

I requested an expedite for my EAD despite no biometrics in the hopes it might trigger it. I do have a job offer waiting so I'm just anxiously waiting to hear back.
How did you make this request?

Still early yet, keeping my fingers crossed.
For sure! 🤞🏼

No change from yesterday, got 3 emails this morning saying they have taken action on my case (I assume those are delayed responses from yesterday). You?
Neither.
4 emails this morning. I assume they're my I-485 RFE notifications (now submitted, and I-485 case updated to Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received - which is a good sign)

I-485 and I-765 have updated to "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS".
Hey Nylar, has yours updated yet?

I believe it will delay your EAD until they receive your RFE response. What time was your walk-in?
I've seen mixed responses from people on this, but nobody's 100% sure. I called the USCIS help-line too, and they said it wouldn't affect the I-765 as they're separate cases but they didn't seem too confident on the matter (lol)...
My appt was at 11:30am today, and the I-765 case status was changed to 'Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS' today!

I had my biometrics appointment today. I managed to get in 6 days early! They were really quiet and kind about it to be honest... It was in Riverside (La Sierra Avenue).
But... I've received a I-485 Request for Evidence today too (RFE) - it's a request for the Form I-864 to be resubmitted. We didn't include W2's so maybe that was the issue.
I have question that I hope someone can help with... Will the I-485 RFE delay my EAD/I-765 card being sent to me?

I'm still impatiently waiting for my biometrics to be scheduled and I'm hoping is comes through next week! Which is your local office?
It will! USCIS Riverside

I managed to get an online access code through the way someone posted earlier in this thread.
Biometrics appointment for early December! Bit of a wait but not much I can do.

Without an NOA I think the only indicator you would have is them processing the payment (assuming it isn't a money order). You might be able to get a live agent by phoning them up or using Ask Emma but I imagine you won't get much of answer without a receipt number.
I called them earlier. They were really helpful!
They said my NOA was shipped out today. Fingers crossed early next week and I can get this moving.

Which lockbox was it sent to? Some are slower than others.
Received my hard copy of the noa1 in the mail today of all three applications.
Chicago! Ah I saw yours was Chicago too in an earlier comment. Hopefully we are today or tomorrow. Thanks!

I might give them a ring. No harm in trying! Thanks Nylar.

I'm getting impatient for my NOA1. Documents arrived at USCIS Friday 4th November (4pm). G-1145 included, but nothing received yet. I've seen others receive it in 5-8 working days, so it's a little frustrating.
I know there's not much we can do, but I need it to get my biometrics scheduled and then receive my EAD (I have a job offer waiting).
Is there any way to check on the status of my application? Or to see if there's a reason it hasn't arrived yet?

Thanks both @Benny4352 @Paulos, appreciate the info!

Hey,
Nothing. We didn't do anything. It was processed automatically. We submitted her AOS package on October 20, 7 days later (October 28), received NOA1. November 14, was her bio appointment and they issued her EAD by the end of the same day. We are now waiting for her card to be mailed.
That's cool, thanks for the info, and congrats!
Do you know if you have to wait for the EAD card to arrive to begin employment?

Same. My wife had her bio appointment on Monday at 11am and her EAD got approved before 6pm same day.
Hey Paulos, do you know what the procedure was after the bio appointment in terms of getting the EAD approved? Is it processed automatically once the bio's are done?

Nope... 🙃 I expedited again on Friday as they didn't provide an update. Supposedly it might help. I also asked for a Tier 2 agent to ring me back, which they said they will within 72 hours (usually). I expect I won't get a call back for atleast 7 days based on current delays.
It's really frustrating. Trying to stay positive but I'm worried I'm going to lose my job offer at this rate.
