  1. Hi there! I started working after about a month since entry. SSN came in approx. 2 weeks. I made sure to get a State ID the same week SSN came. CG arrived in about 2ish months, closer to 3 I think.
  2. Hi all! I just received my green card, exactly 2 months after entry! Phew! Quick question: My last name looks fine, however my given name is composed of two names: Flavia-Bianca. The card shows Flavia B I'm not sure if this means I should correct it since the pamphlet accompanying it said you should report any mistake. I wonder if the characters are limited for given names. Any experience would help! Thanks!
  3. Sad to hear this is taking that long. I would call them and ask for a Tier 3 officer so you can get the truth. Tier 1 agents that sometimes respond to inquiries are not right.
  4. Hi all! *Please move to appropriate forum as I couldn't find where this would fit. My CR1 interview in Bucharest is coming up in a few days (21st of November) and I wanted to ask for a last-minute advice for either docs preparation, example questions or general tips for keeping calm and making it easier. I had a previous 1 year J-1 visa with residency requirement for which I have obtained a waiver. I think there will definitely be questions related to that. I also had a minor overstay due to the post-COVID crazy summer of 2022 where my original flight got cancelled and I ended up paying 600$ more just to make sure I don't overstay more than 4 days. I'm hoping this wouldn't be a problem but I still have my paper ticket to confirm it wasn't more than those 4 days. I also declared it when I obtained the waiver and on the DS-260. Any input would be appreciated! Love love love this community!
  5. Hey peeps! I hope most of you got your interviews scheduled. I got mine today! Got a question though (it might not be similar with all the countries but it's worth asking). Anybody got trouble with registering for document delivery (like sending back your passport after interview). I did like the instructions but the ustraveldocs portal looks like this. Don't really know what to make of it? 😬 Looks like it doesn't recognize the appointment or registration for that matter.
  6. Hi everybody, We just got a DQ-ed message. However, all docs send have been ticked as accepted except the Waiver I have obtained for the Foreign Residency Requirement (for a previous J-1 visa I had). Is this concerning in any way? I am writing them an e-mail about it but just wanted to see if somebody was in a similar situation. Also, anybody knows about uploading extras after DQ-ed? Will they accept those? Or just remain as submitted?
  7. Got approved!!! NOA1: July 29th 2022 APPROVAL: June 30th 2023 No RFE thankfully! So glad one third of the journey is done. Quick question: Is the Welcome E-mail received by the beneficiary or petitioner? Or is it like a common account? Don't really know what to expect. Thanks!!!
  8. Mine's IOE 922 and I filed electronically on July 29th with priority on the same date.
  9. Thanks for the info! I have them both, I'll make sure to present the Colorado one.
  10. Hi there. I'm also from Romania and waiting to get USCIS approval to move onto NVC. Personally, I had to register my marriage with the Romanian state in order to be able to file for a No Objection Residence waiver. I now have a Romanian marriage certificate and a Colorado marriage certificate. None of them got invalidated by the other. He can present either one at NVC or the interview. According to Romanian law you have to register and get a Romanian copy (within the first 6 months of the marriage) but the American one is still effective. The number at the top that you mentioned it's simply their stamp that it got registered (transcribed). I think you're all good! Good luck in the next steps!
  11. Hi there! Good to see I'm not the only Romanian folk around. I'm a July 2022 filer. You only have to update your address to USCIS as a USC if you have submitted an I-864 (Affidavit of Support). You have to notify them within 30 days of moving elsewhere. Anyways, look for an access code on your NOA1. They provide a code to you so you can create an Online account and track your case there. Very helpful IMO cause you can see all your notices before they reach your mail. Pretty sure you can update the address from the newly created account. I hope it helps!
