happilycontent, you live in LA, I haven't had better Korean food, Mexican food or Vietnamese food anywhere!!

I don't care for Mexican food, yea it's good here (yes, I live in LA.) Vietnamese food is pretty much the same everywhere, some worse than others, though. The best pho I've ever had was in this little hole in the wall restaurant in East Van, when I was 8. As far as Korean goes, you may be right about that one, but the best Korean food I've ever had was my friends mom's cooking back home. I just miss home.. a lot. The food in Vancouver is better, IMO. I spend a lot of time in the 626 area because it's almost like being back home, at least the closest thing to it here. If I'm lucky, we'll move to BC one day. There are obviously good things about this country, like how everything is insanely cheap! But, I'd move home in a heartbeat if my husband didn't have a good job here. So, what's the name of your favourite Vietnamese restaurant here, If I haven't already, I'd like to try it.

Getting a little frustrated. Everything had been going so smoothly. Myself, my husband and two sons had our interviews in Boston on October 2nd, and were told we should have a ceremony date within 2 weeks..... my husband eventually received his today, for next Thursday, November 14, but myself and my sons have not even been notified by email that a letter has been sent. SO despite asking to be all together as a family for the ceremony, it looks as though we will be on different dates Surely it isn't much to ask?!?!

Sorry to hear that. But, there's still time for you to be scheduled for the same oath. Hang in there, you're almost at the very end.

p1, maybe it's just how the Chinese refer to what step they are on. P1,2 are my parts,P3 is her end, Part one being the government accepting my initial application. P4 i think is the actual interview. I dont know, Id have to look it up on a Chinese site.

oh, I had no plans of lecturing you. I don't know much about immigration processes, only the one I've gone through. P1 P2, thing 1 thing 2.. lol Hopefully you won't have to do a K1, ever again.

I have no idea what P1 is, but why are you guys using a lawyer?

I agree that we should stick with the thread until everyone is through. Didn't see anyone in shorts in Atlanta but we did feel a bit over dressed for the interview, but for the oath everyone was dressed nicely.

I was expecting a 2-3 hour ceremony, but it was like 1:30hrs, not bad at all!

It was a nice ceremony, the Judge was kinda funny, asking "please, take a picture with me!" LOL
