  1. hello.. brief history.. 4 months into application of i-130 .. awaiting further instructions ... originially i am from pakistan but after application i moved to middle east temporarily where i run a small scale business .. whenever the interview date comes i would obviously need to come back to my home country for THE INTERVIEW. the passport needs to be submitted at the embassy and provided everything goes smoothly the whole process would be done with in the next month or so after the interview.. this would happen in a perfect world but i have heard horror stories about people waiting for many many months even years after their interview... what if they kept my passport for many many months god forbids even for more then a year, my business back in middle east will suffer terribly and i will be stuck here.. considering this scenerio would it be advisable if a requested the embassy for the change in venue of interview to the my current location in middle east...?? visa process is taking very long as it is how much more time would it add to the overall process... ??
  2. yes yes i understand the process.. i am the beneficiary therefore i am not eligible to apply for anything.. my wife has to file the said request.. as i mentioned earlier it has already been close to 4 months since we applied.. how much longer would be have to wait.. our visa center is VERMONT SC.. i am the beneficiary and i am in pakistan not in USA atm ..
  3. yes i understand... i read all the conditions required to be qualified for an expedite request. out of all the conditions we do qualify for one only e.g severe financial loss.... if we file for an appeal, what percentage of these requests would you say are actually entertained and accepted?
  4. thankyou for the response. also, can i apply to expedite the process. ?? i heard it costs around 2500 dollars..its expensive but it would save me a lot of time
  5. hello.. my green card application is in the pipeline. its has been 3 and a half months since we applied. 2 months ago when i checked my uscis account for the first time it showed a processing time of 7 months. i check my account regularly in the intervals of a fortnight. after almost a month when i logged in again , the processing time was reduced to 6 months. it seemed quiet linear to me and i revelled in the fact that things are going smoothly. but when i checked again recently after an interval of almost a month, i was surprised to see that the processing time had been increased to 9 months. this got me really worried.. how does the system work.. can anyone explain please.. how long will it take before i am given a date for the interview.. it has been exactly 3 and a half months since i applied.. is the processing time of 9 months counted from the current date or from the time of application.. how much longer can i expect to wait.. please guide
  6. thankyou sir. may be this is me being paranoid but what if they filed a complaint that usc has forged my address or something like that..i am worried ? i am just trying to cover all bases here
  7. really... ?? how sure are you about this.. ?? we can not afford a lawyer at this stage and we dont wish to make another blunder on our application hence we ask for help on this podium instead
  8. hello.. i am facing a strange conundrum about which i require some guidance. sometime ago my wife who lives in usa filed for i130 with her old address. immedietly after doing so she moved to a different location. naturally the next step was to infrom the uscis about the said change of address. before she could approach uscis to apply for change of address .our petition was returned to the old address. it was denied but not due to any other issue but because of rejection of mood of payment. the check somehow did go through. now there are two issues to be addressed here. first one is the mode of payment which obviously can be changed but the second and the most important one is the new tenants of the place wish to clarify their position with the uscis that the said applicant does not lives here anymore and we dont wish to become responsible for her in any manner. this according to me is an very cogent argument. now i require assisitance regarding how to deal with this issue. should we apply again with the new petition accompanied by change of address application or should we just apply with the new address ?? additionally how should we work with the old tenants to have an amicable solution to this problem.. someone told me that since your application was returned from the very first step and nothing was processed your data was not entered in records by the authorities and you may simply apply again with the new address without any clarification.. i dont wish to have my petition rejected again due to miss repsentation so kindly suggest me a balanced solution to this problem regards
