TMMT got a reaction from Edward and Jaycel in May 2025 AOS Filers
Received M's green card yesterday in the mail.
Her status did update to card produced but didn't give tracking number initially. I have USPS informed delivery and found it that way.
Tracking was created August 19th, mailed the 20th and arrived in mailbox on 21st
Tennessee to Southern California

Our officer verbally approved us and said that whatever they do in their system, there is a 24 hour delay until it shows up in our portal. Sure enough, a little more than 24 hours after we left our interview, we got our approval in the portal

Finished our interview at the USCIS Los Angeles field office in downtown LA earlier this morning. Scheduled for 10:00 a.m. / arrived around 9am
Very long line to get in the building, 20 minutes to get in. Went to another floor checked in there and waited a little over an hour. I believe it was about 11:00 when we got interviewed.
The officer was nice and informal but direct.
He swore us in. Asked how long we were dating. When we met in person. What began our relationship. (Playing video games) He then asked the security questions, the ones you answer Yes or no Asked if we had any additional photos to add which we brought. He did not request any other documents.
Overall, it was painless and wasn't unnerving at all. The officer wanted to know more about my job (I work for the State) than asking about the application lol. My wife says that was 90% of the conversation and the rest of the 10% was the actual interview lol.
Verbally told my wife she was approved. Told us to expect Greencard in about 2 weeks.
No change in USCIS account yet

Found out yesterday that the post office lost my wife's green card. The "journey" never ends. 😂

We got the GC early, came in the mail today 😄 It's a relief that this leg of the immigration journey is over, now my wife's life here can really begin haha. It's been almost exactly a year since I filed the I-129F, and I really appreciate all the help I've received from this community! See y'all around in 2 years for ROC!
Also how long does the SSN take to get delivered after EAD and/or AOS approval? I saw on Reddit that approved AOS applicants are still getting their SSNs, so I'm wondering how long we should wait until we make an appointment at the SSN office in case it doesn't end up getting sent to us.

You may never receive EAD/AP and get GC after interview. Good luck!

Just to update, we had our Interview on July 2nd. It was a very pleasant experience and I enjoyed talking with the immigration officer.
We were approved on the spot and received the official "case approved" email the very next morning at 9 am.
It feels like a weight has been lifted and we are just waiting for the physical card so that we may travel internationally.
Good luck to all May filers!

Case status is marked approved! Less than 2 months from receipt date, we are so happy and still in disbelief how lucky we got... Just in time before 4th of July too, how fitting lol.
Our interview was yesterday, we went on a nice long stroll in the city afterwards since the weather was nice, I recommend doing that for anyone coming in for their interviews from the 'burbs. Stop by a bar for some beers to celebrate too 😁
Appt was at 9:45 AM at Chicago FO, there weren't many people ahead of us, maybe like 3-4 people were called until it was our turn, I'd say we waited like 10-15 minutes, which is much faster than I expected. The interviewer was a nice young lady, glad we didn't get a grumpy one. We were sworn in and asked to produce our IDs and passports (I had both and my wife only had her foreign passport, interviewer said that was OK), the interview notice, and the certified marriage certificate (which we were given back.) We also mentioned that we got an updated medical since the overseas was missing some vaccines so the sealed envelope was opened and scanned in. Those were the only documents we had to provide physically, the rest was uploaded online (of course, we still brought physical copies to the interview just in case).
The interviewer said that since we already did a K1 interview we won't have to go through bona-fide marriage evidence stuff, and just asked us how and when we met. Then we moved on to the I-485 review, asking the standard Qs, like were you in any orgs, are you a terrorist, etc. The only one of note was that my wife was denied a tourist visa (it was just a standard denial) so she was asked the details on that and it was updated to include the reason, and the update was signed by my wife. We did mark it as "yes" on the application, but the system wants details at the interview apparently. We were also asked who the joint sponsor was. And that was it I think, we were told that the case was approved, that we'd get the GC within a month, and mentioned the removal of conditions process. My wife asked some questions (I don't remember what her Qs were exactly) but interestingly I remember the interviewer checked and responded that the case was not being held for review (we were not given the sheet either) and that we can expect an approval status that day or the next day.
And that was it, interview lasted like 20 minutes maybe. So we were in an out within 30 or 40 minutes. The craziest thing was that when we were escorted out by the interview, she asked if I had a sister (I do) and that she used to work with my sister somewhere many years ago, small world! 😂

Interview is tomorrow morning, we're prepared and hoping for the best. What is appropriate attire for these, business casual? I doubt we wanna be wearing too formally or too casually.

M did her biometric today, we moved up her appointments from July 7 to June 30.
Had 2 appointments like @apnzz (1 hour between), lady checking documents said that is okay, they would do both at the same time.
Few people in line - USCIS El Monte, CA

Your biometrics appointment should cover all concurrently filed applications

Did biometrics today - I had 2 appointments as I mentioned in my above comment, it went well (will go into detail due to the weird situation of having I765 filed online and seems separate processing)
USCIS ASC Alexandria (Virginia), super busy, first app was 1pm, arrived at 12:45. Huge line and wait, first lady checked my docs and sent me to second line, second line the employee reviewed my docs took my ID and stamped my appointment notices - both of them, giving me a number to wait for that number to be called then proceed to the worker to get my prints done etc. After almost 2hr wait (super busy), made it clear I had 2 appointments, she took 1 set of fingerprints but 2 pictures, 1 signature (assuming signature and prints just attached to both apps), after getting in car both I765 and I485 statuses updated to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS" (assuming normal/automatic after biometrics completed.
Fingers crossed for a speedy EAD approval

You need to attach copy of I-130 receipt.
I think it asks for copy of I-94 too.
Here's full list:

The online form process will prompt you with what to upload, it has separate sections for each required document and specifies what they want.
My experience, I uploaded:
I765 form
Marriage certficiate
Appointment for biometrics i485
Receipt notice for i485
My approval notice for my k1 visa
My visa page in my passport
My passport identification page
My latest i-94 record of entry
My 2x2 passport photograph
Additional note: My i765 and i485 had 2 separate biometrics notices - what I did was rescheduled i765 biometrics to the same day as the i485, just 1hr apart. I have seen some posts state double biometric apps you can attend 1 of them but bring both notices, and only have to do one, then other posts contradicting this, and as our location for closest centre for biometrics is quite a far journey, we decided that in the off chance we have to do both biometrics, would rather do it sane day and wait around a bit between the 2 apps (1hr apart) rather than have a 2nd day my husband has to take off work, drive all the way there etc. I will ask the people taking my biometrics what I can do / whether I can just do 1 or if I need to stay to do the 2nd.

Got my receipt notices yesterday. For the I-485 and I-131 but not for I-765.
That's good to know I can file it online though! Thanks!! On the lookout for the notices in the mail now and access codes 🙂

I paid with separate money orders ($1440 for I-485 and $260 for I-765) and it processed the cases successfully, I think that USCIS expects three separate G-1450 forms for each application instead of one. Someone else might know for sure though. If the I-765 doesn't get processed but the others do you can file it online later at least. I guess you'll find out what happens soon.
