  1. Thank you all for the tips and suggestions. Believe me I appreciate the insights. It is unbelievanle for me that still after waiting for 1 year for an appointment, my parents still have to wait until July 2024 to be able to visit me, and now grandson/ grandaughter. US Consulates specially Colombia should improve in response times. Camila
  2. Hi Steve: At the moment everything goes well with my pregnancy. God is good. I was just thinking my husband and I could get help, since nobody will take care of you the best if are give birth, you would like your mom to care of you as a woman, not a stranger person. I guess I just want my mom. Thank you, and blessings Camila

  4. Dear All: I hope you are doing well. I am a US LPR, and recently I found out I am pregnant. My due date is scheduled for April next year. However, my husband is a first responder, and We are not 100% Sure that he would be able to take care of me and the Baby immediately. My parents live in Colombia, and the situation there to obtain a tourist visa has become worse, I have been waiting for them to get a visa for approximately 1 year. My mom still has to wait until July 2024 to get an appointment. Is it child birth and assistance a valid reason to request an expedite US Visa appointment via Medical Emergency of a close relative? I am currently gathering all medical information and notes from my OBGYN stating pregnancy conditions and due date to request this. Any help or tip is greatly appreciated. Thank you
  5. Dear All: My I485 was approved today. I still see the I130 unapproved, but appears actively reviewed. I will let you know, once I receive more information and the card is being produced.
  6. After submitting response to the RFE sent, I have wanted for more than 2 months, with no response yet. Anyone else on the same situation? It is literally one step, which is approving the green card, and nothing. 😭😭😭
  7. Thank you. I am allergic to penicillin and other things. That is what I thought I could get a waiver. However, I did take the vaccine. I am just waiting for the civil surgeon to provide me with the results of the medical examination to submit to USCIS. Thank you for all your kind help.
  8. Hi Everyone! I received an RFE Yesterday asking me to submit my I-693 for medical examination. I have one question, the doctor is saying I need the hepatitis B vaccine, which it is my understanding there are 3 doses. Is someone here familiarized with the process of requesting a waiver, based that I won't be able to complete the full schedule for this? I appreciate any help or guidance you can provide. Also, what if the person does not want to get vaccinated for hepatitis B? Thank you,
  9. Congratulations that is excellent news for the New Year! Try to schedule your medical appointment for the I 693 ASAP. If you did not present the form. Keep us updated how it goes for you Happy Holidays
  10. Please check the NOA or 751 you received for the EAD. The timing would be there if I am correct.
  11. Dear All, I am hoping you are all doing well. I wanted to ask you if there is any update on your cases? Have you gotten any RFE's? I have heard that now USCIS reviews first the 864 and if something is going on or if it is a weak case, they send an RFE right away. I hope you all have your EAD's by now. My 485 still says actively reviewed since July 20. Hoping all our cases move fast at least
  12. I am really happy for you and your family. Finally time to start working.
  13. Dear All! It is with great joy that I can confirm my EAD card is being produced. I will keep you posted, once I receive it. But it seems it is not Combo card. Glory to God!! And finally it is time to start looking for a job. I hope and I pray for all your cases to be approved soon.
  14. Congrats!! I am really happy for you. Let us know when you receive it In the mail. Hopefully all of us here can get our EAD approval soon.
  15. Hey there!!! Crossing fingers!!! I really need to start working!!! I know we all need it! You filed in July?? I did it end of June, and biometrics on July 20th, and here we are waiting. Praying for a decision soon,
  16. I hope we can get approval soon. Yes, that is true. I have read in some posts of cases with EAD approved same day of biometrics l, or that they call to the line and somehow USCIS takes the request and expedites for them. I don't really know if it is true about this last one. Like I said, I feel cases should be uniform and they should be more aware, that this is impacting directly the families and the US in general. Why they do not give us EAD first and start taxating us right away? At the end of the day, it is an incredibly hard process. If they taxate, more money comes as income from them. And we can literally start our lives, contributing in this country.
  17. Hi All! Have you had any updates on your cases yet? I am still waiting my EAD. Since 7/20 both my I-485 and I-765 Are being actively reviewed by USCIS, with no action required at my side at this time. Anyone else feeling frustrated about the long waiting periods? I feel like the whole process should be approached differently, and enforce that after the month you file, that you are effectively authorized to work, after the background check. It is literally putting your family and your professional career on hold, waiting for an approval, I have seen timelines in here of 6 or 7 months. Like seriously waiting for an EAD.
  18. Same here. My biometrics were 7/20 and says actively reviewed, and we do not need nothing at this time. That is what it says. Honestly, it is frustrating, all of us need to start working, and we simply can't do it until the EAD is approved. I hope they approve your case soon, too. God bless
  19. I wish you nothing but the best. The worst thing about this whole process, it is the actual waiting. Your EAD should come up soon, if you filed in 5/19. From what people have said here, is that a hit or miss. Meaning you get approval super fast, or they make you wait 🥲🥲🥲. Praying so we all here can get our EAD's soon. Is really frustrating when recruiters contact you, and you actually tell them you are not authorized yet to work. Regards
  20. I am really glad things went well for your friend. Actually, getting one of the vaccines at the Drs office I fainted, (It was the second dose for the MMR Vaccine, and they took 4 tubes of my blood also to certify I got chickenpox. I told them I was scared of needles, and that I got the chickenpox when I was a child. It was the only way to prove them. Since they were asking me for the vaccine card) It was really scary, once I came back 5 doctors rushed to my side, to check why I fainted. The MMR is really painful. I am glad she did not had to go through that. If that was what she wanted. Once I get my interview scheduled, I will have to go for the I 693 signed. One thing I find odd, is that is not regulated the price of the exam, and pretty much Doctors can charge how they will like to do it. I got to negotiate the price for 200. I quoted 3 different Doctors, that was the cheapest option.
  21. Thanks for the explanation. I still will do my own research. In any case I do what the Doctor says. I respect that other people have their own opinions about vaccines, I was just communicating the information I got, same way you posted the information you got. This should be a space to exchange ideas. Not to feel personally attacked. It is not my intention, or it was at the moment I replied to your post. Have a good day
