  1. ...can you let me know how to do suzanne's plan?...

Hi! If you go to this link, there's a sticky on the top of the forum.

    http://allnurses.com/forums/f197/

All you need is the Saunders Comprehensive Review Book to do her plan.

    Just remember..."different strokes for different folks." Some says Kaplan or Hurst is the best;

personally, I think it depends on your learning needs & abilities.

NOTE: I am not in anyway in this forum for profit just utilizing the net to help myself & others.

  2. Hey its good to know that I'm not the only one here taking this blast3d exam  . I am doing self-review & uses Saunder's 4th edition + CD. Here are some tips.

    1) Send your NCLEX application ONLY if you're 100% sure that you are ready to take it. Postponement/cancellation fee is expensive & it's best if you pass it in the first try.

    2) It is better to stick with 1 book or study option because it gets confusing.

    These links help me, too:

    http://allnurses.com/nclex-discussion-forum/ BTW, I'm into Suzanne's plan.

God bless & good luck everyone! :luv:

  3. Howdy! Been swimming from a young age since my hometown, Bulusan which means flowing water boasts of a lot of bodies of water- river, ocean, lake & mineral springs...you name it. I am claustrophobic & a floater that's why its hard for me to learn how to scuba dive but I love snorkeling. It's better for beginners to learn swimming in a pool. Good luck & enjoy.
  4. I have a bad cold so I've been drinking a lot of tea. I was never really into tea much before being with my husband. What is everyone's favorite tea? Right now I'm drinking Calm by TAZO. It's good and makes me feel better but slightly smells like Raid.

Jasmine green tea, plain or with honey.

  5. I am looking for a good quality US replacement for rice. My sweety sure likes her rice and I want to find something here in the US that is just as good at what can be found in the Phil's.

 I mix calrose & brown rice 50/50 and its perfect, nutrition-wise with the right stickiness but I love Japanese rice most. It really depends on your sweety's taste, so why not let her experiment? :)

  6. Hello everyone,

Ran into a bit of a snag today at the local DMV when trying to get my wife a government issued identification card in preparation for her green Card AOS interview taking place on the January 16th.

Im really upset because I didnt think this would be an issue due to the fact that to me, she had everything she needed according to the Identification Requirements Elements Sheet.

Am I in the wrong on this, or was the lady justified in telling us we were crazy to think we should be able to get my wife an identification card?

Its getting closer to the interview date and we are just so nervous and scared something is going to be wrong, or missing. Im so worried they will freak out at the interview if we dont have an Id card for her.

These are the things I brought with us to the DMV.....

-Copy of My wife's I797C(Form 1-485 Application to Resister Permanent resident or Adjust Status Notice that shows her interview date to be on the 16th)

    -My wife's SSN

    -Certified Marriage License

    -My wife's Thai Passport.

-My wife's expired K-1 page from her passport

    -My wife's 1-94. Also expired.

According to the elements sheet that say that we need XXXXXX in order to get an identification card, she had everything she needed.

The lady argued several points with me...

    1) She doesnt have a green card and thus cant have an id card.

    2) her I-94 and K1 visa are expired (this is to be expected, we have been married since the 19th of may 2008. )

    3) Her SSN doesnt mean anything

    4) She doesnt have an Employment Auth Card or 1-551 (my wife doesnt need to work. So we haven't filed for a work permit and figured we would just wait for the green card so that if she wanted to work later she could.

It says on their form that they can get Identity, Age, Name and Lawfull presence evidence off of the Poreign passport, us visa and I-94

They also said they could get lawfull presence off of a SSN card.

So am I crazy in thinking this should have went smoothly? Or was the lady correct?

And if she was correct.... how are you expected to get all of this done while waiting for your AOS meeting?

My wife's Visa would have expired on 04Sept2008. Her I94 was valid through June 14th. Im just lucky we got the interview as soon as we did. i would have done this earlier, but I didnt have the interview notice(I-797C) until just recently. Way after both of those were expired. How do they expect us to get these things when we have no real way of showing we are in pending status waiting for an interview WHILE doing what we were told which was getting married in the correct time frame?

Any help, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Im really freaking out right now on top of being nervous. so close...yet still, so many issues that shouldnt happen.

Sorry to hear this happened to you, too. We tried to get 1 from the Austin bluffs DMV sometime ago with just my foreign passport & SSN (unmarried name) & there's this mexican looking man from DMV who's really helpful but his supervisor told us to file first for AOS & once I have the I-797C, I can apply for the Colorado ID. That's the only added requirement needed. Maybe you should try again. Good luck.

  7. :help:We received 3 rejection notices (I-797C) along with the whole AOS package back from Chicago due to a mistake. We forgot to check 2 boxes in the I-485 & I-765 forms. My questions are:

    1) Is it necessary to print another of those forms to rectify the problem? Or just check the missed boxes on the same forms we received from them & resubmit?

Did they stamp it anywhere that it was rejected? Are there any marks that they made on the form? If not, I would say just check them and re-send them as is. If they did any rejection stamps or anything like that, I would say re-print them and send them again.

No stamp of rejection just date & numbers on the side of the forms so I'll just resubmit it after checking the missed boxes.

    2) Shall we send back the I-797C's to Chicago when we resubmit the AOS package?

Has anyone experience something like this?...Please we need your speedy advice because we're planning to send it back ASAP. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you need to send back the I-797Cs...You could make copies and include them, with a cover letter saying that you received these letters and have rectified the problem. Good luck!

Good idea, I will do this & send it back immediately. Thank you for the speedy & informative response aravis227. Color your new year with love & peace. (F)

  9. Question 1 - for American men: Did you seek out Filipinas through a dating agency or marriage broker, and if so, why?

He signed up for catholic dating sites, looking for a soulmate but not specifically Pinay; nevertheless, he got me.

Question 2 - for the Filipinas: Did you ever place an ad or set up a profile with any international dating agency or marriage broker, and if so, why?

My bestfriend set up my profile after having enough of my company at the college of nursing. As I found out, there's something for catholics from the same site and as I am 1, :innocent: I transferred my profile...

Question 3 - for the American men: What are the differences (including physical) between your Filipina spouse and your ex-wife?

According to my husband, I am much more a romantic who can cook & cares about him, unfortunately, stubborn, too. Physically, his ex & me are approximately of the same age, height & weight; the differences are I'm tanned, toned & younger-looking.

Question 5 - for the Filipinas: What are the differences (including physical, age) between your kano spouse and your last boyfriend or ex-husband?

 Aside from being drop dead gorgeous, 49 years old, my husband has a big heart and we are equally yoked while my Japanese 43 years old ex-fiance is the exact opposite.

    Honest answers please.

X my (L) hope to die

  11. Try reading about condohotel investment in the Philippines. If you are open to living anywhere in the Philippines, try to look into Tagaytay, Laguna & Antipolo because, aside from being near to Manila which means savings on airfare, these places are considerably provincial in nature, have higher elevation & cooler weather plus beautiful scenery.

Hope you'll find the best place for the both of you.
