Hey y'all a certified, proud American here reporting I've passed & done with the USCIS from 6/6/12. The officer didn't even ask me for that darn IRS form So much for worrying huh. One incident that scared me, was the interviewing officer left out my middle name in the N-445. Right before the oath taking ceremony I told the officer ( who's collecting the forms) about the problem. Lo and behold! I received my citizenship certificate with my correct full name. Thank you so much to VJ and fellow VJrs for all the help and guidance in this process. Will be signing of for now to concentrate more on becoming a productive citizen of this great country. I wish you all a smoother ride than mine. God bless

My husband talked with a supervisor from the USCIS. She said not to bring any of the said documents if I don't have it, as long as I have "justification." And if I wanted to not that I have to...I can bring my husband's 4506-T as well as the letter from FPPA stating that he has a tax-free disability pension. Just to be sure, I submitted my own 4506-T form to the IRS and I am hoping that i'll receive it before my interview date. Just in case, it does not arrive on time then I have to rely on what the USCIS supervisor told us & copy what antda did on her naturalization interview: (a special thanks to antda for your post that serves as a reference for some of us here)

Hi! My naturalization interview is on the 1st week of June. Today, I received a USCIS mail in a yellow paper that read, THIS IS NOT AN INTERVIEW NOTICE; asking me to bring 3 years of original IRS Form 1722 or to complete Form 4506.

During the N-400 application I sent a letter of explanation why I don't have income tax forms. And this is because my husband's disability pension is tax-free & I took care of him instead of working. My husband told me that there's no need to file IRS forms since I don't have an income. Now, I am in a quandary since the interview is fast approaching. What shall I do? What form should I use? What is the process? Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi! My son was approved for an immigrant visa yesterday. Now I would like to be prepared on what comes next after his port of entry regarding his status & well-being here. Will he receives a 10 year green card? I received mine (his mother) last May. When can he be a citizen? My husband & I were married when my son was 17 years old. Hi! My son (20 years old) just got done with the USEM interview & I'm amazed that he was not requested/instructed to pay 2go Express for the visa delivery. We are from Davao City, too. Thank you for the add polar1979. I received the NOA1 today with a receipt date of 03/01/2011. Would it be safe to expect that my biometrics will be more or less a month after?

Hello guys just got back from a long hibernation & I don't know how to be on the February list without changing anything . Please add us on the list. We sent our I-751 packet last 02/28/2011 & was delivered to the California Service Center on 03/01. Our check was en-cashed last 03/03/2011. Hope it will stay as fast as it is now because we already have airplane tickets to the Philippines for April 18th...

Hi we are on the same boat. I've submitted an I-30 for my stepson on April 12 and until now there is nothing, aside from NOA1. The USCIS site shows it is still in initial review but when I check the processing time for an I-30 it says 5 months for the California Service Center. Hopefully, one of these days the processing will pick up again...

this was covered prior, here on VJ - use search terms 'secured credit card' and 'secured loan' and 'cash collateral'

1. get a secured credit card , use it

2. get a loan at a bank, using cash as collateral, for a 'secured' loan.

There's a lot more detail to this, but that's the 'gist' of it.

Hi! We are on the verge of applying for a credit card & getting a secured loan from my husband's bank (credit union) where we have a debit account. Should it be in my own name with my husband as a co-signer or jointly will do too, to build a credit history? Also, I am an authorized user (w/ my own card) of his Sam's club credit card. Does it help in building credit? My husband wants a consolidated credit but I don't know if it's helping me or not since his credit score is just fair. Please help...

• A copy of husband's divorce decree regarding a former spouse
• A copy of the my son's birth certificate
• A copy of my son's father's death certificate
• A $355.00 Money Order payable to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security
