    can someone explain what is JULIAN DATE????????????

    Technically, a julian date is the number of days since 12:00 on 1 January 4713 BC. Ambiguously, it can start anytime you like. NASA's julian calender starts at the time of its first flight into space. In this thread the julian date reffered to was the 320th day in 2007, which was November 16. Applicants whose Manila case number starts with 820 more than likely had their petitions received by NVC on November 16.

    Our I-130 and I-129F got approved last Dec. 12, 2007 :D ...do you think its possible??? :huh:

    I hope I am rong too. The research I did shows all interviews for K1 and K3 are scheduled once a month. I know how you feel. I was on the cutoff for Jan interviews. I was put into the second ring of Feb.. :(

    Figure it this way, the way the NVC sets up the K-1 cases is to first assign MNL for Manila and the 500 plus the julian date thus comes up the number 820. The last three digits is where the case was assigned to Manila on that day so if it was 023 that would indicate it was the 23rd case assigned for whatever julian date 320 is. :wacko:

    320 = November 16.

    mel_keikilani and Eternal Love, if you look at rjpolo78 posts on the November approvls waiting for interview thread, there has been 820s and some 830s with interview dates. I hope you get a date real soon!!

    Since your forwarding date is November 21 my guess is it went out on the next DHL shipment. NVC had a DHL pickup on November 21.

    The 820 is the combination of 500 plus the julian date of 320 so it is 820

    Okay I did my search again, and the next batch of schedules from MNL2007819XXX and MNL2007820 is already Feb 4, 2008 and Feb 5, 2008 respectively.

    Here is the breakdown: 41 interviews for K1 Visa where their Medical is on Jan 28,2008 and Embassy Interview is on Feb 4, 2008, both fall on a Monday. There is one case which falls on January 7 interview (maybe from US Military and has deployment) and then about 15 cases where they have their Embassy interviews on Feb 5, 2008.

    For MNL2007820XXX, I found 38 interviews for K1 Visas and 7 K3 Visas and they have their Medical on January 29, 2008 and Embassy Interview on Feb 5, 2008 and both fall on a Tuesday.

    So no interviews for nearly a month from the last schedule from MNL2007818XXX case numbers where 2 cases have interviews on Jan 9, 2008 and then there is a big leap of 8 interviews scheduled on Feb 4, 2008. Then I found 2 IR visas, one IR3 visa is scheduled for Embassy on Feb 5,2008 and one IR4 scheduled for Embassy interview on Dec 12,2007.

    So based on this, it seems USEM doesnt schedule any interviews after the first week of the month, same thing went for the first batch of Jan interviews.

    I have a long way to go if there are a lot of case numbers between 820XXX and 830XX, I might actually be a March interview (I dont even want to think about it) if this pace keeps up. My case is MNL2007833XXX. Any cases from 820XXX to 830XXX, please let me know and post here so we can project the next batch of interviews.

    may i know members who has their case number 2007820xxx which no schedule yet???? please post so we can track it! thanks!!!!! I'm still hoping to have our interview on 1st wk of february :yes: ... PLEASE HELP US LORD! :innocent:

    me too 820XX, i figure it out.....

    from a source

    all the applications come in and are put in a stack, numbered sequentially from when they are received. It will be mostly in numerical order at this time, with some variance due to differences in delivery time. Then a number of different staff members come to the stack and take different size stacks for themselves to work on for the next week (or month or whatever), so the stack gets distributed amoung many different staff members, then each staff member might work at different speeds. So somebody who's case was the 1st case on the 5th person's stack might have the case completed before a person who was the 6th case on the 1st person's stack.

    I thought chronologically done base in case number but i was wrong.....

    our interview date is feb 08 at 7:30am... my mnl case #2007833.... St. Luke appointment is feb 01 at 7am... may i know your interview time and St. Luke appointment time? :)

    I ALREADY TRIED TO CALL THE EMBASSY IN MANILA BUT ITS JUST THE MACHINE THAT ANSWERED ME.PLSSSSSSSS HELP US TO CHECK OR INTERVIEW SCHEDULE.WE WERE FILING LAST JUNE,AND UNTIL NOW WE DONT HAVE THE PACKET YET.I DONT KNOW IF ITS ALREADY IN THE EMBASSY.BUT NVC ALREADY FORWARDED IT.
