If you made enuf in 2007 to qualify then you can file your 2007 taxes as early as possible in 2008. Don't wait until April.

When your return gets in the system you can ask for IRS tax transcripts. They are WAY better than just a ITR as they showed you filed and paid.

No need for 1099s or anything else then!

so if my fiance file early january when can he get his ITR my interview on feb 5 2007

My fiance has his interview at the consulate on the 23rd and one thing worries me... my affidavit of support. I am working only part-time at the moment as I am going to college. I do not make even half of the required 125% of poverty level for 3 people. I will once I get a job after school is completed, but I don't now.

However, I have a pretty large amount in the bank. If they see that you cannot support your fiance on your salary, do they look at the bank statements and will that be enough or do I need a co-signer?

I do not have one, and I do not have anyone who can even BE one. My dad is retired, my grandparents are retired, I have no brothers or sisters, I don't have any idea who I can even ask. Do you think my bank statement will be sufficient? I'm in a panic over this because I do not want it to be a problem during his interview. Does anyone know?

hi i need you advise guys! my fiance's ITR didnt met the poverty lines in 14 state actually met the poverty req.. but his in hawaii. his self employed he really making a lot of money but the thing is he adjust his income to be low so he wont over taxed but is it enough to show his bank statement to back up his ITR shortfall??? but if the console accept it I'm worried how to answer the consolu during interview like.... how can he afford going back in PI evry month and evry 3 months his ITR shows very low income??? replies much appreciated! thanks......

Assets such as bank accouts, home, stocks and bonds may all be used. There is a section in the affidavit of support (I-134) instructions that tell what to have as proof of each asset. For instance, for bank accounts, you need in duplicate, letter from bank officer showing date account opened, total deposits for the last year and present balance. If I remember correctly, it takes $3 in assets to make up for $1 in income. If he still doesn't meet the requirements for Hawaii, he would need an immediate family memeber as a co-sponsor.

so even if ITR shortfall but he can back up it thru his bank statement... is it possible of denial because of ITR shortfall even if he has money in the bank?

Got my Packet 4 yesterday afternoon (jan.2,080). They delivered it to the wrong house!!! but good thing someone in that wrong house contacted me and told me i have a package delivery. (my number was written on the receipt slip).

Do i need to leave an authorization letter to my landlady, and would they accept that?

Where does it say they need 2 copies?

I had 3 made. I sent 2 to my fiancee, one for the Packet 4 and one for her own records. So she does have 2 copies.. But the documents only request one copy.

Has anyone stayed at the Pan Pacific or any other of the 5-star hotels and have a good recommendation?

I'm trying to make my pick between Pan Pacific, Diamond, and others at the moment near the embassy.

I don't really have any experience at any of them though.

If anyone knows which is the best for your $$, please let me know.

Hi im scheduled on feb 8... i am also waiting for that packet from the USEM. I will be paying 131 dollars for the interview as soon as i have the packet in hand.

I went to Cagayan de Oro City today to pay the interview fee.(CDO is 2 hours bus ride from Iligan)..I got a priority number - 98. They were entertaining priority numbers 40-50. I asked the guard what are the documents i need and he said they will provide me the documents needed. I took my number and went to watsons to pass the waiting time. Luckily when i returned to the BPI they were already entertaining numbers 90-100. I told the man incharge I'm paying 131$ since i will be interviewed on february.....Goodness gracious he doesnt know about it. So he asked his superior who told him that for this year they will ONLY be accepting 100$ payment and i will just return on january to pay the remainder. I was too hungry and too tired to argue with them. They told me if i return on January they will accept my 131$ payment. . . . . . . i hope the dollar rate wont skyrocket on january....

dnt worry you will get your visa soon..... i read the thread 3 weeks before your interview u have to send 650 to delbros for NSO verification to avoid delayed issuance of visa..
