  1. Thanks a lot for the tip!!!

So do you know if they are going to process I-129F right away or are they going to wait for the I-130 to be entered in the system so that they can link those two?

I am in similar boat. I filed I-130 on Aug 20 and my cheque hasnt been cashed yet. My lawyer suggested me to wait for the receipt for I-130 before i file I-129. This process is too slow. Its gonna be 4months for me soon. BUMMER!

  2. you know i was thinking about that .... i am assuming the application in CSC/VSC is still in a bin somewhere not entered into the system ... overnighting a duplicate application to chicago lockbox might be faster that waiting for CSC of NVC

    what do u guys think

Well I believe that the only reason USCIS is having ALL forms go to the Chicago lockbox is because CSC and VSC can no longer house applications that are coming thru their doors and just sitting in a pile. What I am assumming is that the current mailroom at CSC and VSC is overwhelmed and flooded with apps that just keep coming in and piling up. This probably makes it much difficult to get the receipting in a timely fashion when the mailroom is constantly overworked. So they implemented the Chicago Lockbox(CLB) so that apps can stop coming into their mailroom before they are ready to process them.

I think this is a good move. It may help in the organinzation process plus allieve the stress of the workers there so they dont just up and quit from all of the frustration. I am assuming CLB will start housing all applications until said service center is ready to receive them. Maybe CLB will start issuing out NOA1's too so that people can at least know that their application was received safely. I don't think this means CLB apps will get processed faster than the apps at CSC or VSC, but they could receive an NOA1 before others. There apps are still just sitting in a que waiting to get shipped off to the designated service center. I think this process is just for organizational and catch-up purposes. They obviously have workers at CLB who will be alleviating the work load from the service center workers, so maybe the service center workers can then start focusing on actually processing the apps.

Yes on trying to help the backlog and proces what is outstanding but the receipts will still come from appropritae area of filing aka CSC or VSC as per memo.

And i also agree good move, l think it may help.... ok need another paddle for our canoe lol

    Cheers hun

    Susie

I would think all applications will be handled based on priority dates they were sent. That only seems to be fair and USCIS will work on cases piling up in Vermont/CS offices from July/August instead of processing new ones coming to Chicago even it means sending NOA1 notices. Atleast i hope thats what will happen..

  3. seems like the situation might get better ... since the new instrection asked that you file in Chicago Lockbox instead of CSC or VSC .... now i would assume CSC will process everything they have to make room/resources ...

    say what??

link? I'm not sure what you mean, man, but hope it's some kind of not completely terrible news.

When did you apply for I-130 HOHOHO? Hopefully USCIS will update receipt processing dates this Friday. Keepin fingers crossed.

  4. Last week I called the USCIS and they told me we will see some changes in 3 to 4 weeks. I think they will start working on I130 after they will finish with N400. I guess I130 is the last on their plate. They don't have party people behind it; accusing them playing politics or big companies asking them about what they do with the money they pay them. I130’s is filed by average Joe and they don’t really pay much attention to him. So let’s just hope they will finish with all other applications soon

Sharif when did you file your I-130? Mine was received by USCIS on 20th Aug. Seems like Vermont Service Center is far behind CSC.

  5. I sent my I-130 on August 8 to TSC and have received nothing. Waiting. It is horrible. Everyday I hope something will happen.

I filed I-130 for my wife on 20th August 2007 and USCIS still hasn't even cashed the check yet at Vermont. Is this the general trend or am i alone? Real worried. I hope the application hasnt been lost. I sent it via DHL Courier and have the tracking number as proof that it was delivered. This uncertainty and wait period is killing us. Please help!

    Paul. :crying::crying::crying:
