I have a question about this statement The clock for citizenship filing starts immediately upon entry to the US. Does this mean upon entry they can immediately file for citizenship?

thjat thing is crazy and completely wrong. I got approved this week and on the day it was approved it said 20 months left. Each time I uploaded unsolicited evidence the time went up drivining us crazy for nothing.

Hi, they started approving April over the weekend so the ball is officially rolling now.

I'd think we will begin to see April 2024 approvals within the next 10-12 days. Let's see and stay hopeful. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

I am in a discord server where people will tell you when they get approval and what their priority date is. I think yesterday I saw a number of approvals from March 27th.

They are already around March 19th. We are right around the corner everyone.

Looks like they are in the March 15-17 range now.

My wife and I were originally going to get married in the Philippines because we also wanted her family to be there and we found out that it was a bit of a cumbersome issue with how long I had to be in the country to do the paperwork and to attend the accounts pre-counseling sessions and I couldn't take off a month from work to take care of it so we wound up doing the Utah wedding but I went to the Philippines and did the wedding with her in the Philippines with her family and we had the guy performing ceremony from Utah on video. So that way we had a US wedding in the Philippines and her family got to attend and my family attended online.

I'm wondering if the processing times have went up. My site indicates that we will need to wait 7 more months but average processing time is about 16 months (August). 7 more months would put us in the October time frame. Well outside the 16 months people seem to be averaging. Now I KNOW that the timeline on the site is wrong and to be ignored so I dont need 20 reminders, what I would however appreciate is to know if others who did file in April 2024 are currently showing 7 months as well?

Between this part and the fact that you didnt get traditional divorce papers in nigeria I'd be concerned about them revieing my case if I were you.

also Filed electronically, case is at the Vermont center.

I may be wrong and if I am then moderators please feel free to merge this with the appropriate thread but I dont see a thread for those of us that filed in April 2024. I cant be the only one on here lol and If I am does that mean my case will get approved faster? hahaha

IF it is fraudulent then you dont have the "right" to be here. If it is a documentation error then that is a different story.

I wish this were true, we filed in april of 2024, the tab currently says 8 months which would put us in sept which might actually be accurate lol I think July would be about 15 months for us and I have heard thast over the last year the CR1 apps have been taking longer to process. Who knows...fingers crossed that you get lucky and your file moves faster.

Hello everyone, I think I have my answer from reading the board but my situation is not common so I want to double check prior to filing. I (us citizen) married my wife (foreign) in via the Utah online wedding process and filed I-130 with USCIS in April 2024. My wife was previously here (Dec 2023) via the k-1 via process and obtained her ssn while here. We didnt get married here and she left prior to the expiration of her visa to return to her country. She isn’t work at the moment, she and my step son live in the philippines. She has SSN, he does not. We were married in April of this year and I live and work here in the USA. I know that I have to file MFJ, and since my stepson doesnt have a ssn and isnt living here I cannot claim him but my question is this. Is her SSN still valid since she left and it was issued while she was here under the k1 visa that is now invalid? I know that normally a ssn never expires but hers states "not valid for work" so I dont know if this makes a difference or not. Any information is appreciated. Thank you.

Agreed....remember when I said we'll see as my tab went from 4 months to 3, to 2....well yesterday it went to 10 and I fully expect that tomorrow it will go to 37 and so on and so forth. Just enough carrot dangling to both excite and iritate me into oblivion. The agony

Strange, I applied in April and it started at 14 months, then 12 then 9 and last month it went to 4 and this month 3. I just cant imagine that is correct based on what everyone else is sayina and I am waiting to log in to see it jump back up again. I want to saee what it says next month, if it says 2 months then I will begin to believe the trend.

really? I mean I dont really have a clue what to expect anymore. Peoples timeline and approval times are all over the place depending on what center has it, when/if they filed the k3, and the personal circumstance of each case. I was told to totally ignore the timeline estimate they provide on the website but it has consistently gone down each month and is the only thing that giveas me any hope...but it is WAY off the estimates that i see from people on the internet so who the heck really knows?

It looks like the site isn't showing classes at all this weekend. You are likely in the same basket as the rest of us... And based on what people are saying this may not be the last time that cases disappear from the site temporarily.
