Yaar don't need to worry about this... Your wife need to fill I-864 and your mother in law will fill I-864A and as i told u medical would cost about 8 to 10 thousand rupees and u just gotta click this link for exact cost and location. My medical is shceduled at 18th July, at karachi. and my Interview date is 1st August. and NVC sent Original I-864 to my wife so i am taking Copies with me for interview.

i just wanna know few things like, Before my interview will NVC send me the orignal I-864 or will i have to show the photo copy of I-864 during the interview in us embassy?

And my wife is my petitoner she lives with her mother she cannot sponsor me but my mother in law is gonna sponsor me.So will my wife fill out I-864 & I-864a?

In the end this is the specific question for my country (Pakistan) fellows.

Yes your wife need to fill an I-864 too, nomatter if u use a co-sponsor.

Medical would cost something between Rs 8000/- to Rs 9000/- and u can download a list of approved doctors in pakistan from U.S. Embassy Website..

How did qasim ordered his Police Certificates without any letter from embassy. and should i shcedule my medical now.

About Islamabad i already posted in ISLAMABAD FORUM but those paki's never give a Fuckin reply they are so selfish. i can expect a reply from indians but won't type again in any paki forum....

My husband´s letter came to his house two weeks after I received mine in the US. You can do three things:

1) wait longer

2) get a copy of your spouse´s letter

3) call the embassy and ask for a letter

My Spouse recieved an Interview packet from NVC in U.S. and the date is Aug 1st-2008. but i didn't get any interview letter in pakistan from NVC or either Embassy. this is confusing when will i get the interview packet and from where NVC or Islamabad Embassy.

as i got the interview date i need to collect medical report and police certificate but how can i obtain them without a iinterview letter, coz i will need to show it for medical and PCC..

Plus i have never been to Islamabad can u please guide me where to stay and how to get to the embassy.

I called NVC at 29 May and they said CASE COMPLETE....

I don't remember my timeline i am sorry. but i remember the month we applied I-130.. it was "June 2007"

and at 29 May 2008 my Case was Complete..

i am just confuse about what to do will i get a packet 3.5 or should i call nvc and when i am suppose to send my documents and police certificates to embassy..

i didn;t send any of these but got RFE saying i need to submit ds-230 page 3 and 4 and 2 2x2 pics. if they asking all these civil documents they should have asked me in RFE ughhhh whats goin on... will send another RFE???

I looked into my papers and found 1 Barcode Page.. that is for both "Ds-230 & Affidavit"...

so should i just send that 1 barcode page maybe its 1 page becouse i Paid IV Bill and Affidavit Bill together through layer... and Lawyer got the Instructions for Affidavit and Instructions for applicant packet together... but then lawyer not representing our case anymore due to some personel reason....

so should i just send these things to NVC...

1. Barcode Page IIiIiiIIiiIIIIiI.

2. Ds-230 + passport Copy

3. Affidavit I-864

4. Letter from Petitioner that lawyer not representing anymore.

and what Attn:CMR means...

Don't you have the barcoded sheet that was sent to you requesting the DS230? If not..

Do not put your case number on the envelope only on your documents. The address is correct but put ATTN: CMR on the second line and the street address on the third line and so on. The zip is 03801-2909.

You don't need to use NVC enclosed envelope. Don't write your case # on the envelope either. I never used NVC enclosed envelope, since I used USPS next day Express envelope.

I got the instrction packet from NVC after paying IV & Affidavit Fee bill but i misplaced the enclosed envelope to send back Ds-230 & Affidavit of Support to NVC what should i do?

Can i just take a simple Envelope and put DS-230 + Passport copy & Affidavit of Support. and send it to NVC with the Case number written on front with NVC address...

MY PETITION I130 for my 1 1/2 Yr old son and myself Has been approved can any one give me the answers to the following questions

1)can my husband file Adjustment of status now or when i reach US?

2)What are the questions that are asked at the embassy ?

3) how much time is left for me to get an approved visa from Embassy?

4) since I live in Karachi can they interview me in Karachi? (since it will be difficult for me to travel to Islamabad with my son)

1. No u dont have to do adjust of status if u are entering U.S. with a immigrant visa...

2. Questions about a bonafide relationship... and how u met and where...

3. well it depends after approval case go to NVC then embassy... i would say not so soon.

4. No u can't be interviewed in Karachi u have to go to islamabad...

Hello everyone...my interview is next month and i need to know that how early in the morning is one suppose to stand in line at the diplomatic enclave entrance to catch the shuttle bus for islamabad embassy?

My time is 8am so I thought 6am is a good time but heard that the system has changed and there is no long waiting lines anymore.....Could anyone plzzzzzzzzzz advise me on this?

we were married less then 2 years when filed i-130. and letter from NVC says CR-1 but will be 2 years before interview so what visa embassy will issue CR-1 or IR-1...

or do i need to contact them regarding this.... to change CR-1 into IR-1

how do u guys track ur packages does NVC gives u package number or what to type in DHL website to track my package...

I wanted to know can he start looking for a job immediately when he comes to the US or will he need to wait for the green card to come in?

your husband can work immediately after arriving in the U.S. as soon as he gets his "social security" card in the mail... B)

Embassy didn't ask for us to send certified copy. The only ask original along with one photocopy. I have already send out with regular photocopy. Do you think is gonna be issue??

NVC use DHL to send approved petitions to Islamabad...

I-864: long form that can be filled out by anyone.

I-864A: is an attachement to use when members of the household you are living with agree to add their income/assets so that you can meet the poverty guidelines. It is an optional form.

I-864EZ: when you are using only income to qualify under the poverty guidelines. It is a short version of the I-864 can CANNOT be used by cosponsors.

None of the forms need to be notarized. Since you are using a cosponsor both of you are going to have to fill out the I-864.
