okay that makes much more sense. I'm wondering if she can even file in Sweden because she is coming to Sweden on a student visa, so I don't think she will have permanent residency until it turns to a work visa, which will be after at least a year. Do you know if she is there on a student visa, will she have residency and she can apply from Sweden instead of Philippines? I'm hoping that's the case because Manila is taking so long lately.

my partner and I want to do the k1 visa, and she is from the Philippines. my question is, she is going to Sweden soon for work, and I'm wondering if we can file the i129 from Sweden after we get engaged. will it be a problem? she will be staying in Sweden for about a year.
