  1. GreenCard Fees Paid - June 29, 2022

    POE - June 30, 2022 (Denver, Colorado)

SSN received - August 12, 2022 (I had to go to my local Social Security Office because I haven’t received my SSN card even though I applied for it on my DS-260, I went there on August 5, 2022 so it took one week to receive it.)

OS155A Case updated to 'Card is Being Produced' - August 12, 2022

So you were able to attend the interview with your wife? They wrote back in an email and said only her..so curious

In my case my husband wasn’t allowed to go in with me, he had to wait outside.

Oh congrats on the passed interview, I’ve just seen that.

But to answer your question about the CEAC site, I had my interview on June 10 (Friday) and after my interview the status changed to “Administrative Processing” and after a few hours to “Issued”.

Got an email on June 13 that my visa was shipped and got my visa on June 14! 🙂

  3. Hello everyone!

I paid my immigration fee online on June 29, 2022 and I arrived in the US on June 30, 2022.

I haven’t received my SSN card yet. I have a number due to another stay in the US but I chose the option to get a new card delivered on my DS-260. I think thats kind of a long time after reading the comments here. Any suggestion on what to do in that case?

    I appreciate it! 😊

Did I do something wrong.  How long does it take before we will see some dates pop up?

Hello 😊 it’s me, AGAIN. I’m so sorry!

First of all, congratulations to you and your wife and the approved visa!

Second, what you described here just happened to me as well. Do I just have to wait for them to get back in touch with me or is there anything I could do?

It says they’re working on my scheduling request asap.

Thank you so much again in advance!

I want to share my experience of passing the medical commission.  Maybe my information will be useful to someone.  The medical examination took place today, April 22, 2022. The clinic is located near the railway station.  We rented a hotel 10 minutes walk from the clinic.  When choosing a hotel, you need to be careful, because there is a "red light street" and there are drug addicts and prostitutes, it's very scary, read the reviews.  If you need the name of our hotel, I'll tell you, let me know.

As for the medical examination itself.  The main thing is that you speak German or English or take an interpreter with you.  Also now there is a chat in the telegram channel with ordinary people who are ready to help (If anyone needs it, I can link to this chat). You can arrange for the interpreter to call by video link and thus help.

First you go to the clinic and they give you a number and tell you to go up to the second floor and wait to be invited.

You go to the secretary, she registers you, asks you to sign a document stating that you agree to transfer your information further and asks you to sign another blank sheet (this will be necessary so that in the next office where you go to take tests, just compare your signature, in the same place  you will be asked to duplicate it).
At the secretary you will need to pay a fee of $275. You can do this in cash or by credit card.

The secretary will give you an invoice to attach to your documents.  She will also keep a duplicate of the invoice and documents. After the secretary, you go down to the -1 floor, where they will ask you to give urine, take blood from a vein and do a fluorography.

After that, you will again go up to the secretary, hand over your passport and papers that will be given in the laboratory and will be told to wait for the doctor to invite you.

The doctor asks first about vaccines since childhood.  If you have not been vaccinated with TdaP (diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis) in the last 10 years, he will offer you to do it immediately or when you arrive in the United States if you wish.  If you choose the second option, then you will be able to get this vaccine only after the wedding, but until you receive the final documents.

If you had rubella and varicella, then upon arrival in the USA you will need to be tested for antibodies (my case) or get a vaccine.

Next, they will check your eyesight, ask you to undress to your underwear, take your temperature, check your ears, and listen to your lungs. They will tell you to lie on your back and check your reflexes, just tap your hands and feet with a hammer.

The doctor will once again ask questions that we answered when registering on the doctolib website (do you have psychological problems, have you ever had an alcohol or drug addiction, do you smoke or not).

     This ended the reception.

Then they said that the tests are done in 1-2 days and sent to the USA.  Then the United States, when it brings you to the base, sends documents to Frankfurt.

Further, if the United States does not have time to send documents to your interview.  You take this invoice with documents to the interview.  This will generally confirm that you passed the medical commission.

The tests and examination by the doctor took 15 minutes.

The secretary was very friendly and eager to help.  The doctor did not ask any further questions.

My you completely, go every day to the site and check the dates of the apointment.  Since there are emergency dates for the coming days.  It's how lucky I am.

Hey:) did you receive a CD with your chest x-ray at the doctor after the exam or just a vaccination sheet or anything else? Thank you😊

So, our interview is on Tuesday for my CR1 Wife at the Frankfurt Consulate.

My wife is reading from some sites the U.S. Petition Spouse is not allowed to accompany the immigrant spouse.  However according

    https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/FRN-Frankfurt.html

    Accompanying persons

The following persons may accompany a visa applicant to their interview:

    • U.S. citizen petitioners
    • Interpreter: Applicants may bring ONE interpreter if they do not speak English or German well enough to participate in an interview.
    • Special Needs Visitors: Applicants may bring ONE person to help if they are elderly, disabled, or a minor child.

Does anyone know if there has been a policy change, perhaps due to COVID so that I may not attend?

I don’t know an answer but you can send them an email, they’re pretty fast at replying. I had issues to print the confirmation page of the delivering address since I’ve had a non-immigrant visa in the past, so it hasn’t updated my DS-260 confirmation number and they helped within the same day (a few hours). And thanks again for the help to leading me through that process!

    Frnuscisinquiries@state.gov

I’m having my medical tomorrow, there was a last minute spot open even though I don’t have an interview confirmation yet since I haven’t scheduled one, but I thought I might be prepared. How did your wife’s medical go?

And best of luck for her interview tomorrow. Hopefully you can join her!

There should be a print button some place.  I can't remember where.  Also,  you will get an email with an attachment of the confirmation page.  Additionally, I would suggest you also go into the site and download a copy of the application itself.  If questions are going to be asked during your interview, most likely they will want to verify some of the data you submitted.

Pro Tip:  If you are submitting documents that required translation like I did, make sure you submit the ORIGINAL Pen and Ink Signed Translation Certificates.  I didn't and now we have to bring them on interview day.  Not a big thing, but it would have been nice to come in empty handed.

    Thanks that helps a lot.

For Immigrant Visa Applicants PROOF OF DOCUMENT DELIVERY ADDRESS: Please remember to include a copy of your address registration confirmation page with the other documents that you send to the Consulate before your interview.

Where do I find that copy of that address registration confirmation page? I want to choose the pick up method anyways. Did you print the mail and marked that you want the visa delivered or that you’re going to pick it up or is that a separate thing to do?

Hi may i ask a few questions

after completed the ds260 form they said u have to print the confirmation form with the barcode do i have to mail ds260 form together with other docs for package 3 ? And i864

where do i pay for the fees $120 and $325?  Do i have to pay both at the consulate?

    thank you

Have you sent the DS-260 confirmation page with your packet 3? And the fees are only paid on the day of the interview, right?

  9. 20 hours ago, Truth_Seeker said:

From my understanding, you only need according to their site:   Paperwork from the U.S. Consulate with Case Number if available(DS-260 od DS-160 confirmation page)

Also, another long pole is the "Police Certificate/Report for the various countries that the immigrant has lived in.  Note, Thailand took 30 days to hand ours over.

One last thing, the medical exam is only good for 6 months.   And your VISA expiration is tied to it.  So your visa expires six months after your medical was given.

    Thanks again for the information!

I do have one last question. After you filled out the DS-260 form you have to e-sign it and there's that "Enter your NVC Case Number:" Do we have that? Or what do we have to put in there?

I’m not sure of the exact options on the DS-260 but words like “clerk” and “assistant” often cover job titles and descriptions of people who handle the kinds of jobs that you seem to describe.

The key here is to be honest and present as much information as you can that answers the questions. If you don’t, that’s where issues come.

A big thing here is no gaps in your employment history. If you didn’t work for part of a period that they’re asking to know your employment history, say “unemployed.” Otherwise give details of the job.

Leaving out anything the form asks for (and mentioning things beyond what the form asks for) are unlikely to be helpful and could hurt your case.

There’s nothing like clerk or assistant available. There’s just like bigger option as “business”, “agriculture” or “government” etc., so I don’t think anything fits to that. And if you choose “other” you can fill out a description about it. It’s just a regular job.

Also, there’s no space to write down an employment history.

  11. Hello everyone! 😊

I am a bit confused about the DS-260 and the question about my primary occupation. I’m working in an office in full time currently, nothing special. There’s a list full of occupations and I just chose “others”, is that correct?

Also, I was wondering, if I don’t have to provide any previous jobs from the last years?

And then there’s another question about what I want to work as in the US, and I again chose “Others” and wrote down “Office job/Administration job”, is that alright?

    Thank you so much 😊

Four our current address, I used my German Address, and there is a place for an address for where you plan to move.  There I used my home of record.

BTW, you can only do consular processing if the U.S. Spouse has been in Germany for like six months.  So, you need to keep the story straight.  With that said, if you have an approval for the I-130 and they have invited you to fill out a DS-260, I would do it as soon as you can knowing it takes about 8 days to approve.  Also, you will need a medical exam, and the one place that does them in Frankfurt are all booked up.  You might have to go to Berlin, Hamburg, or München for that.  You can also just keep checking back with their booking system to see if an appointment opens up.  Here is the web address of the docs that do examinations here in Frankfurt.  https://www.internisten-im-westend.de/medical-visa/ We were fortunate and got an appointment for this Thursday.

    Thank you so much.

Yes, he’s been living here since 2019, we sent his military orders with the I-130s. So I’ll put our German address in there as well.

We got out I-130 approved today and that’s why I prepared the DS-260 today, the consulate sent us an email. And we’re collecting the rest of the documents to send to the consulate as well.

Could I go to the medical examination even though I don’t have an interview appointment yet? Because I’ve seen that sometimes slots are opening up spontaneously. For something like next week.

Btw, thanks for all the help. I appreciate it a lot.

    Hello

Yesterday I went to schedule our appointment with Frankfurt Consulate.  Did the registration address thing and then to do the appointment.  I was a bit surprised when it didn't like give a list of available appointments to select from.  It just said that something like we would be contacted later.  Is this what happened to you.  Just wondering if I did something wrong.

Hey! I have a question about the DS-260. My petitioner is for sure my husband, he’s currently stationed in Germany with the military, but only until the end of June. So they’re asking for his address in the DS-260, do you put in your address from Germany or the US?

I will email the consulate today and ask about the medical. I worry about being able to get into Austria for my wife to do a medical though.

Can't she travel with her SOFA card? Could you keep me updated on that? That would be very nice and I would very much appreciate that. We have a baby on the way and it seems impossible for me to join my husband when there are appointments available only in August. 😅 He's about to leave at the end of June.

I'm not too sure about the medical. I'm planning on doing it in Hamburg or Berlin most likely. I'm going to fill out the DS-260 when my wife is here on Saturday and work on the other documentation until then.

Have you called the other medical offices? I saw one of them had slot for Wednesday (much too soon).

The interview is scheduled online after you mail them your DS-260 an required documentation they request and they tell you they have processed them, yes.

I'm guessing we don't need to take extra copies of marriage/divorce docs then?

I contacted the medical in Hamburg and they told me that they're not offering the medical examiniation at the moment. Berlin told me they have appointments available in the middle of August. But I've also contacted a doctors office in Vienna and they had an appointment available the next week, but I'm also not sure if this only applies to Ukrainian citizens at the moment due to the circumstances.

    Okay, thank you!

I was wondering the same. In the email it says we have to provide one original and one copy of the marriage certificate, I guess my husband and I will just send it once again since they're asking for it. But I'm not sure about the divorce papers, my husband is divorced and hes the petitioner, so I don't know whether or not we have to send his divorce papers in there as well.

Sent an e-mail to the consulate yesterday to see if there was anything missing and luckily enough this morning at 8:30 we got two emails saying we got approved. So now time to schedule medical, interview and do more docs. 6-7 days processing time...couldn't be more happier!

Congrats! Same for me this morning.

Do you know if it only applies to Ukrainian citizens to schedule their medical exam in another doctors office in Europe? Because still, the waiting time for an appointment in Germany is insanely long.

Also, we have to fill out the DS-260 and send the required documents and after they approved those we can schedule an appointment for an interview, right? 🙂

Have you filled that out? We just got the instructions of packet 3, but I don’t have an intended travel date yet because I don’t know how long the whole process takes.

  18. Hello everyone! 😊

My husband just received the approval note for our I-130 and we got emails with further instructions.

I do have some questions and hope someone can help me.

The picture I added shows a line where I have to fill out my intended travel date. But I don’t know that yet, I mean as soon as my visa gets approved of course? What did you guys fill out there?

Also, we got an email that said to fill out the DS-260, that’s what I’m doing right now, right? And after they approved my packet 3 I can schedule an appointment?

Another thing is that: “For Immigrant Visa Applicants PROOF OF DOCUMENT DELIVERY ADDRESS: Please remember to include a copy of your address registration confirmation page with the other documents that you send to the Consulate before your interview.”

Does that only apply in regards of choosing the delivery option of the visa?

Thank you all so much and have a wonderful day! 😊

    Hello,

unfortunately I cannot answer that question because I still haven’t heard back from the consulate after submitting our I-130s. It’s been two weeks today.

But I think usually there should be appointments showing up on the website because in a Facebook group that I’m joining a lady from Ukraine said she has her appointment next week in Frankfurt and there were several slots available to pick from. I hope you’ll get an answer for that soon or can schedule your appointment asap.
