  1. Got it. So she really should be working before we start this whole process to make it the 'easiest'. (haha - easy..). When you say no other way of satisfying the financials - do you mean like if we had her parents be a co-sponsor for their income or something like that? I assume that's probably what you mean? You've been great help pushbrk!
  2. Hey everyone! Sorry to dig up an old thread. Quick question (again) - when it comes to my wife proving she meets the min requirement for annual salary in the U.S. Obviously she can't use what she makes in Canada, as it's a location dependent job. I realize she would have to establish a job in the U.S to be able to prove she can meet the requirements 'in the U.S'. Unless I am wrong about that? I don't think I am though. I am just trying to think of at what point in the process we have to do that. So we apply for the petition, and then if we get approved and file for the actual application. Is at that point my wife needs to have established employment the U.S and meet annual money requirement to show she can support the family. I assume that's how it works? Thank you for you time!
  3. Thanks @pushbrk ! You've been really helpful so far. Language is English -
  4. Hey everyone! Just a few quick questions I am hoping to get cleared up. This i-130 form was actually a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Still some questions I am not sure about though. If there is somewhere else that already answers these, please don't get annoyed at me. haha. 1. "Where in the United States does the beneficiary intend to live." - We aren't 100% sure yet. Is it ok to leave this blank or no? 2. "Beneficiary Class of admission" - We can't answer any of those because I don't have any of those documents. What am I supposed to do there? 3. "At which U.S Embassy or Consulate will the beneficiary apply for an immigrant visa". How do I find out that site? 4. "Information about beneficiary in their native written language. If the beneficiary's native written language does not use Roman letters, upload a document with his or her name and foreign address in their native written language." Do I just write on a piece of paper my name and address? Is that all it's looking for? 5. "Additional Evidence" - One thing here asks for "Religious Records". We don't have any of that. Is that ok? Thank you!
  5. Actually that was one of my questions I was curious about. At what point in the application does my wife have to be living in the United States? Thanks everyone for the feedback so far!
  6. We are in Calgary, so looks like for us it'd be Vancouver. Anyway - I will start looking into the I-130 for starters. Thank you!
  7. Also should say we are all currently living in Canada.
  8. Hello everyone! I hate posting this in here as I know it probably annoys a lot of people. Can someone direct me to which application I should be applying for? I swear the U.S makes this so confusing compared to what I went through with getting my wife to Canada. hah. I am a Canadian looking to move to the U.S. with my family. My wife was born a U.S citizen (now dual citizen - Canada/US), and we've been married for 10 years. We also have 2 kids that are also dual citizen. I am the only solo holder. haha. Can someone just please help me understand which application I should be looking to apply for in order to obtain residence in the U.S with my family? It's so overwhelming and I really just need someone to say - this is the one you should be looking into. Then I can at least have somewhere to start. Heck I don't even mind paying for a lawyer at this point if anyone knows one. Thank you everyone, and have a great night!
