  1. I didn't know that's how that worked. We have almost identical timelines so I'm excited! Probably for no reason though.
  2. That's fantastic news! Congrats! Do you know where your case was processed?
  3. This is great news for me, as its pretty much my exact timeline. Realistically though, its just anecdotal and I'll be waiting with the rest of us hahaha.
  4. Really? April of 2022? Don't worry. All we can do is wait. This process isn't the best for the mental health but it's all a means to an end. My approval estimate from VJ skyrocketed from Feb to May hahahah.
  5. Yes, I finally did! It was a little over a week after the carrier said that it was delivered. I only received the paper copy through the mail though, even though I sent in the email form too. Maybe that's only applicable for the I-130.
  6. Ah. I see. I'm sorry to hear about that situation. I'm glad you have been expedited and hope you are able to get the care needed soon!
  7. Pretty sure that would be an RFE. That's also insanely fast! Did you send an I-129F too?
  8. I used my folks' address in the US for both my I-130 and I-129F! As far as I've seen, there won't be any issues.
  9. Same exact situation with me! I asked EMMA a day after my NOA1 and they said it was in Vermont. I'm trying to time my wife's visa to line up so that we can move together once my contract is up in Japan in July of next year. (I get free airfare for the trip back) Coincidentally, I just sent out my I-129F. $35 bucks to ship from Japan... Yikes.
  10. Thank you for the advice. I assembled the packet today and will be sending it off soon!
  11. Thanks for the suggestions! I don't know why my morning brain didn't think of that. I might just bite the bullet and send it on over from Japan. We took the photos earlier today and went ahead and printed everything. I'm still curious to see if anyone has gotten through by sending copies though. Cheers!
  12. Hello everyone! This is sort of a mixed question so I placed it where it would most likely be seen. If this isn't the correct spot, I apologize. I filed an I-130 online for my wife a couple of months ago. We decided we would take the leap for the sake of science and try out the I-29F trick. The issue is, we live in Japan. It would be no issue at all to get my parents back home in the US to print out everything I give them, assemble the packet and send it off. This would of course avoid the headache and potential nightmare of shipping all the way from Japan. My issue is with two parts of the package. First, the actual I-29F. Has anyone ever sent in a physical photo-copy and had any issues. The only real problem I imagine would be the signature at the end of the form. Second, the passport style photos. This is where I think my plan falls flat. Has anyone used copies of these documents in either an I-130 or I-29F and gotten through? Of course, the safe answer would be to just send my packet all the way across the sea (which I more than likely will), but that doesn't stop my curiosity for this process. Thanks and take care!
  13. Hello everyone! I didn't see a thread for us April folks yet. We are almost 3 months into our wait! Time is actually going by fairly quickly for me. Probably because I'm overworked...
