  1. i am now preparing required docs that i will bring during interview.

    some questions...

    1. CENOMAR -- i already have this one since August of 2007. (We actually included it in our original 129F petition sent to CSC) Would that be alright or should I get another one -- dated 2008?

    2. POLICE CERTIFICATE -- i really don't understand the importance of this. Isn't NBI Clearance enough? Anyweiz... I am living in Manila for 4yrs for work, so I will get a police clearance here right? But originally, my hometown is in Subic. That is my permanent address. Should I get another police clearance there?

    3. DS-156 and DS-157 Forms -- both will be provided by the bank where fees are paid?

3a. DS-156 -- is it really true that handwritten or typed Visa Application DS-156 Forms will no longer be accepted? Visa application forms printed from the Internet and then filled out by hand or typed on a typewriter will not be accepted? as I have read in the USEM site, it states "Please fill out the form online, and then print it out using a laser printer." If so, the forms that will be given by the bank after I paid my fees are useless.. right?

  2. do u guys think its okay for me to call NVC? I'm the beneficiary..

It is ok for you to call the NVC but be aware that you can be stay in line for a long time and that will be expensive phone call on your side..also, make sure you have your receipt number ready because the NVC operator will ask that and the beneficiary bdate which is you..I suggest, the petitioner, make the phone calls but it's totally up to you..Goodluck!!

ur right, it will really cost much if I will be the one who call NVC (that would be long disance call rates)..

but u know, im really itching to find out abt the status of our approval and my fiance's getting tired of calling them everyday.. plus he's getting annoyed by me asking him "did u called yet? did u called yet? did u called yet?" , u know what i mean  hehe

  3. Well I was just able to get through to NVC and they do not have our case # yet.

actually my fiance calls them everyday  and yes.. they dont have our MNL case # yet. i wonder what is taking them too long? CSC told us that they already sent our approved case to NVC Feb6. Why is it that NVC keeps telling us that they don't have it yet  i thought when it gets to NVC everything will be fast fast. :crying:

  4. Congrats! we almost have the same timelines. my fiance and i also passed our docs to CSC last September. My fiance recently got a hardcopy notice from CSC that our application has been approved last Feb 5, 2008. Good luck to us!! Will be praying for you!!

I am so happy to report that we are APPROVED today. What is the next step and how long are interviews now taking? I am hoping for something in late March early April. I am wondering from people that had recent interviews, what paperwork the USC sent to the PI fiance? Thanks for your help. And congrats to all and good luck to the rest. This is an amazing feeling to have the approval.

    hi foxyroxy!

we have the exact date of approval  feb5.. lets keep in touch!

have u got ur new manila case number?

    :thumbs:yay! chuck n rose! congratulations!!

  5. I called NVC today just because I was curious. Got a hold of someone and she got annoyed because I called 3 days after NOA2. She told me to wait 90 days...yeah right.

Did she tell you that your case was not there yet?..Did you got touched after approval?I think when you got touched after approval then it means they forward your case to NVC..try to call NVC 3 days after ur last touched..It's ok if sometimes you got rude operator  ..just keep tracking about ur case and don't mind the meaners

hi there! my fiance is from the Philippines too.. wow! after ur approval everything went fast huh?

i just want to ask you some questions, if you dont mind

how did you get to request for an early interview and medical dates? u called Manila US embassy? are we allowed to do that or we just wait until they send the packets? how many packets did you received? oh, and what's the number of Manila US embassy?

any info/tips from you is greatly appreciated  thanks so much!

  6. I am pretty sure the 156 and 156k can be typed in a computer. Not sure about DS-230 since you don't need that form in Philippines.

hey eric ;) since your fiance' is from the Philippines (like me).. you might want to know about the D-156 form.. The Manila Embassy requires:

"DS-156 Form – Starting 01 November 2006, handwritten or typed Visa Application DS-156 Forms will no longer be accepted. Visa application forms printed from the Internet and then filled out by hand or typed on a typewriter will not be accepted. Please fill out the form online, and then print it out using a laser printer. The printout will be three pages in length and include the two-dimensional barcode page. Make sure that the barcode is printed clearly and completely, with no lines broken or torn. Only use laser jet or inkjet printers and good quality copy paper when printing the online DS-156 Form."

  7. Hello All,

To match the previously created threads I decided to create one for the August and September filers.

Let's keep in touch and help each other out during this next step of the process.

For reference, here's where you can find previous similar threads:

June and July Filers - NOA2 to NVC

April and May Filers - NOA2 to NVC

    Good luck to everybody!

hi  may we join this thread?
