  1. My 2 year green card will expire by the end of this year and now is time for me to file i-751.

The problem is that we (me and my hubby) are also fixing to file for divorce next week. I am aware that i can remove conditions by myself after the divorce has been finalized but i am not sure if the divorce will be over any time soon.

Should i just go ahead and file as "married" or wait for the divorce decree.

What would happen if i was required to go for an interview and my marital status changed.

I understand every case is different and i already know everything i need to know on filing as a divorcee. i guess, the point me this is just to vent and seek some reassurance. This is a very difficult and complicated situation and my husband isn't very cooperative. I would like to stay here as i have a dog, friends, an alright job that pays the rent but if this is not working out, i'll definitely go back to my country. Having to go thru the immigration process has caused me nothing but headaches for the past 2-3 years, and now a divorce on top of that...pretty frustrating. i cant believe this is happening I am too young for this really. I'll prolly end up in a psych ward or something for being emo.

  2. i sent my AR 11 in june. am i supposed to recieved a notice letter from USCIS that they have recieved and updated my address or no? cuz i havent got anything in the mail but the notice letter for i865 hat i filed for my husband

i sent my AR 11 in june. am i supposed to recieved a notice letter from USCIS that they have recieved and updated my address or no? cuz i havent got anything in the mail but the notice letter for i865 hat i filed for my husband

i forgot the mention that my case is NOT pending

  3. im not sure what u were asking but if im right you were asking about RFE

    1. not everyone recieves RFE (request for additional evidence/info) why do u think u will get one? if u do get one then send it back immediately

2 regardless of how long it takes.. everyone has to apply for the 2 year card BEFORE they can apply for the 10 year card

i have been living here for over a year and i still have not got my 2 year green card

just wait on someone else to come answer cuz ur questions are rather confusing to me

  4. ok after spamming about RFE for the past 2 weeks i finally got my RFE letter today

they want my "marriage certificate" which of course i already sent

heres the thing today is DEC 22 rite? the letter says

Note : you are givem until Dec 21, 2007 in which to submit the requested information to the address at the bottom of this notice

soooo.. here i am thinking #######???

i personally dont believe a letter from CA can take 2 weeks to get here as its stamped "FIRST CLASS" ( 3 days gauranteed) on the envelope

my mother in law works at the post office and makes sure i always get my letter from uscis but thats not the point

my case was touched on DEC 19 after they said they mailed out my rfe letter on Dec 6

so i was like huh? ####### again? i thought theyd resume the case after they got my RFE

im going to send them the marriage certificate first thing tomorrow morning but heck ...will it help opinions anyone? i know its not a big deal but the immigration ppl sure enjoy complicating stuff

i dont know why they want me to send my stuff there by the 21 when they mail it out on the 19th(assumably)?

sorry for bitching ppl ... im just so worked up and frustrated rite now
