if you are from Nigeria and born before 1992, you are expected to get an attestation of birth, is a must. i believe you didn't have the information if you had, this delay could have been easily avoided. 

Also NVC is responding to cases submitted on 10JAN22, as at last week, but they will update it today. You will have to wait till the get to 10th Feb. 

I have been DQed since Jan 20th 2021 that’s like 1yr and few months.

Truth is I don’t think Germany has interview dates even for students, I know to have an interview in any country you must have residency there (been there for more than 6months), another challenge is that Germany is one of the most difficult country to give schengen visa. How about police certificate?. On the other hand Nigeria is a No No, I even had to transfer my case to Uk, although am still waiting to hear from NVC.

I was able to change the file to London (from Mumbai) after getting DQ. Just fill out the public inquiry form with proof of UK residence and address and they will change your case number
