@Kelc not that I have seen or heard of. Apparently diversity visas and student visas are priority at the moment as they all need to happen before September end.

Same. Super frustrating that they are prioritising diversity visas when those are random ### people who won a draw and has no connection to the US while people like on the CR1/IR1 visas have families that are torn apart

I didn’t get the DQ email letter yet I just received the one about the income guideline. My sponsor makes way above the guidelines as well, about $20000 above. So I’m confused

Ah yes same thing with me! But i think It’s because mine was a foreign income and not in the US perhaps. I have just moved back to the US and now have a US based job so I’m planning to have my husband supply them my first few pay slips at his interview to see if that is acceptable, and then if not he can submit the joint sponsor paperwork.

Hey did you ever receive an answer to this. Did you get the DQ message. What happened after this ?

    Hey,

Yeah most people said no need to submit online and to just bring the joint sponsor docs to the interview.
I had Gotten two messages, one about adding a joint sponsor and the other message indicating I am documentary qualified. So I haven’t done anything else, just waiting for a bloody interview date (although my case status is still “ at NVC:( )

Hi, i was DQ’d 1st March. My case was successfully expedited so I received an email from them early in the week to say that our interview will be for next week thursday. It was very sudden we didn’t have much time to prepare. Our medicals will have to follow cos there isnt much time to do it before our interview. I’m still trying to find out if there ‘s a way for us to do the medicals over east cos the cost to have them done here in Perth is such a rip off!

May I ask how you got expedited/what reason you submitted?

  5. I got DQ'd but also a message indicating that I need a joint sponsor...
"This case does not meet the minimum income requirement to sponsor the intending immigrants. To avoid delays, an additional Affidavit of Support Form I-864 from a joint sponsor may be submitted. For more information visit https://nvc.state.gov/aos. The consular officer will make a decision regarding this requirement at the time of the interview. For more information, please visit https://www.uscis.gov/i-864p."

Do I need to submit the new joint sponsor documents online or just bring the joint sponsor documents to the consulate interview?

Just hoping they aren't holding off scheduling an interview date (after the mentioned I was DQed) until I submit a joint sponsor online

    Sharing my data point here:

I just got DQ'ed today! Submitted the last required document on 10/26/2021. Submitted the last additional documents (under W2, 1099, proof of employment types) on 1/19/2022. This shows that the NVC uses the date for the "required document", not "additional documents".

ahhhh that is so good to hear! I’ve been punching myself in the face the last week for submitting the w2 with the fear that it reset my date to January (when my original submission was early November😭)

Yes it did not affect my original position in the queue

BTW I submitted ALL the Required documents on 10.14

So I think the queue starts after all the necessary documents for the applicant and the beneficiary have been submitted.
Additional documents can be added slowly later.

Can I ask what you non required documents you submitted after that did not effect your position in the queue? And did you submit it under “other” document type?

I just added my W2 as I read it was required and messed up because I submitted it under the w2 document type instead of “other” like people recommended on here to keep your place on the queue. Now I feel like it reset the clock for me when I was about 3 weeks away from being reviewed
