  1. Just got back from my interview. We went in an hour earlier, waited about an an hour and a half. :P We took our son with us and the interviewer was very nice. He had us swore to tell the truth and just ask simple questions as where and when we met but it was more like a casual conversation than an interview, he didn't even ask us for any additional papers or proof. He just went through the paper work and made sure everything was there and when he was done handed us a piece of paper congratulating us the the AOS was approved. He then said if he finished the paper work today I would get the GC in a few weeks. I just want to thank everyone at VJ and all those who are still going through the process to just hang in there. Good luck to every one.

  2. Ok... The day is finally here. Tomorrow is our big interview. I just kept everything that we'll need in a big file.

I'm real nervous, but my hubbz is cool as a cucumber. Men! I wish I could be as cool....

Keep your fingers crossed for us guys! I'll use all the advice you guys have posted in this section!

The rest is upto God and USCIS..... :)

I am also reading up on past interviews that the members have posted to prepare myself.

Goodluck with your interview. I hope everything goes well for you. Please post your interview experience.

  3. I just got my AOS Interview appointment for 04/22. Its about time! reading the list of what to bring makes me nervous :P

don't be nervous. there's a whole bunch of things you already sent in, hopefully the rest won't be too hard to get together!

I'm just a bit nervous, it seems that reading through the past interviews some went very smooth and some have a bit issues, depending on what the mood of the interviewers are I guess. I hope the person who will interview us is going to be an easy going person.

  4. map1map,

Thank you for sharing your experience and your time. It could not have been more detailed. I am grateful. Having gone through your reply, I know now that I am not the only suffer and patience is indeed required. I shall go about it as advised.

Regards and thank you all for anwering my query.

I just wanted to add that after checking and waiting for my biometric letters I only received 1 biometric appointent letter for the I-485 only after calling for a service request. About 1 month after my biometric appointment USCIS sent my EAD card in the mail. They did not provide any status updates or send any approved notices. I think they enjoy making people stress and wait.

  5. hey guys...just a thought. I just notice that in my bio appointment that the schedule is only for my I-485. How about my I-765? Will it also be included? Or I will be receiving another appointment for that?

    Thanks in advance.

Were they mailed together? If so that may be something to call customer service about to make sure it's applied to both.

I got the same thing Mymee.

Only got appointment for the I-485, at this point I am am just glad I got the biometric appointment. If I don't get an EAD at least I know I will get a Green Card some day :P

But I do hope the appointment will cover for both.
