New here.
Thank you!!
The NOA has the 1 year extension.
I just check it.

Just got back from my interview. We went in an hour earlier, waited about an an hour and a half. We took our son with us and the interviewer was very nice. He had us swore to tell the truth and just ask simple questions as where and when we met but it was more like a casual conversation than an interview, he didn't even ask us for any additional papers or proof. He just went through the paper work and made sure everything was there and when he was done handed us a piece of paper congratulating us the the AOS was approved. He then said if he finished the paper work today I would get the GC in a few weeks. I just want to thank everyone at VJ and all those who are still going through the process to just hang in there. Good luck to every one.

Ok... The day is finally here. Tomorrow is our big interview. I just kept everything that we'll need in a big file.
I'm real nervous, but my hubbz is cool as a cucumber. Men! I wish I could be as cool....
Keep your fingers crossed for us guys! I'll use all the advice you guys have posted in this section!
The rest is upto God and USCIS.....
I am also reading up on past interviews that the members have posted to prepare myself.
Goodluck with your interview. I hope everything goes well for you. Please post your interview experience.

I just got my AOS Interview appointment for 04/22. Its about time! reading the list of what to bring makes me nervous
don't be nervous. there's a whole bunch of things you already sent in, hopefully the rest won't be too hard to get together!
I'm just a bit nervous, it seems that reading through the past interviews some went very smooth and some have a bit issues, depending on what the mood of the interviewers are I guess. I hope the person who will interview us is going to be an easy going person.

Congrats map1map, Pinoy_pinay and mymee on your interview dates. I hope I will get something soon too, the online status shows that my I-485 was touched on 03/08.

Congrats to evryone that received their Green Cards. I haven't revceived any news or any Interview letter from USCIS. I am hping maybe I will just get a Green Card in the mail one day just like how I got me EAD. Good Luck to everyone else who have up coming interviews. May everything work out for everyone.

map1map,
Thank you for sharing your experience and your time. It could not have been more detailed. I am grateful. Having gone through your reply, I know now that I am not the only suffer and patience is indeed required. I shall go about it as advised.
Regards and thank you all for anwering my query.
I just wanted to add that after checking and waiting for my biometric letters I only received 1 biometric appointent letter for the I-485 only after calling for a service request. About 1 month after my biometric appointment USCIS sent my EAD card in the mail. They did not provide any status updates or send any approved notices. I think they enjoy making people stress and wait.
-
Just what I thought. USCIS sent me the EAD in the mail. I got the plastic, issued on 02/18/09, I'll go for the SSN # tomorrow. Now I'll have to cancel the InfoPass.
No emails, no changes in the status, no nothing.
Your timelines are exactly like mines LOL. My EAD is also dated on the 02/18. Maybe we will get our AOS the same time too
-
No more waiting for USCIS. I give up now that I got the EAD They can take all the time they need to approve my AOS. I will spend my time looking for work now
-
I just about gave up on the waiting and was going to call USCIS and schedule an INFO pass appointment but when I got home today I found the EAD in the mail will go get my SSN tomorrow . What a long wait!!
-
After the biometric appointment today, just checked my status online and my I-485 is touched on 1/23/09.
Nothing for the I-765, I guess I won't get my EAD anytime soon.
-
Congrats to everyone who got approved today.
I just finally got done with biometric appointment but it was only for I-485.
Now just have to wait and see, how long I will have to wait before I get any news
-
hey guys...just a thought. I just notice that in my bio appointment that the schedule is only for my I-485. How about my I-765? Will it also be included? Or I will be receiving another appointment for that?
Thanks in advance.
Were they mailed together? If so that may be something to call customer service about to make sure it's applied to both.
I got the same thing Mymee.
Only got appointment for the I-485, at this point I am am just glad I got the biometric appointment. If I don't get an EAD at least I know I will get a Green Card some day
But I do hope the appointment will cover for both.
-
Congrats to every one with the EAD approvals and a special congrats map1map for getting the biometrics appointment.
jmmr, sorry to hear you haven't heard anything yet. but if it has been 3 months you should give USCIS a call since they say the process time is 3 months for the EADs.
