July 2022 I-130 Filers
Ted277 replied to CDFranck's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
I don’t know if this helps, if you’re still waiting for approval and you’re July, 2022 filer, I just want to let you know that you’re not alone. -
This is the reason for the denial, I have 21 years age different from my wife and was approved on the spot. I think when the CO asked me when did I see my wife and I answered last 2 months and how many times we have seen and I said 4 times. I guess that was the end of the interview and he approved me. There is no way couple who are dating(fiancé) can see each other during covid and married couple can’t visit each other. I hope everything is resolved now.

July 2022 I-130 Filers
Ted277 replied to CDFranck's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
USCIS receive more than 15,000 cases every week. If your Prefix is IOE098, then your case is far out on the end of July, perhaps one of the days in the last week of July. And that’s doesn’t make my assertions wrong coz I’m tracking cases. USCIS approves more than 2,000 I-130 cases a day and they touch cases randomly too. But right now, most of the cases being approved at the moment are IOE09167-68, 69. Check your receipt No. I think you meant to say IOE0918 and not 098. -
July 2022 I-130 Filers
Ted277 replied to CDFranck's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports
They’re approving cases mostly with prefixes IOE09167 and IOE09168. Definitely by next month, they’ll move to IOE09169 and dusting off rest of cases with prefix IOE09168. These prefixes are all June-July 2022 cases. -
What are my chances...? CR-1
Ted277 replied to Worldismine03's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
Your age difference got nothing to do with the denial. They denied you for lack of spending time with your fiancé. How can you marry someone you haven’t met. I’m a Nigerian male and my wife(US citizen) is 21 years older than me. I was approved immediately I mentioned 5 visits. My interview didn’t last upto a minute. Visit more, spend more time with your partner and you won’t have nothing to worry. -

Administrative Processing

Visiting Nigeria is a serious love gesture. My wife visited me 5 times despite the whole insecurities in Nigeria after 2020. My late mom told her not to come but she insist. But I still believe you’ll get your visa. -

You don’t have anything to worry about. If your marriage is genuine, you will get the visa. I’m from Nigeria too. -
Police Certificates
Ted277 replied to bullismt's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
I understand where you’re going about playing safe, that’s thoughtful. And official website said “if you haven’t stayed in another country for more than 12 months, you don’t need it” if its easy for her to get the police clearance, she should go ahead but if it’s not, she clearly don’t need it.- 16 replies

Police Certificates
Ted277 replied to bullismt's topic in IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures
With what I read from the post. The 3rd row is exactly what is applicable in this situation. And I repeat, if she didn’t stay more than 12 months. Don’t bother getting the police clearance because you don’t need it. It’s very expensive, time consuming and exhausting. It will make you stay longer in NVC stage and finally during interview when embassy sends an email, you’ll realized that you wasted your time getting it.- 16 replies

Police Certificates

If you actually did K1 and received email from the embassy, they will categorically tell you exactly the police clearance you should get. And on the email, it says the applicant should get police clearance from another country he/she have stayed more than 12 months. Unless your embassy didn’t explain well. I took the Ghana police clearance to the interview, they ask how long I stayed and I replied 8 months and they didn’t take it. Only collected the Nigeria police clearance.- 16 replies

You don’t need police clearance if you lived in another country not more than 12 month. So I don’t think your spouse need it. Spent a lot of money getting police clearance in Ghana and found out they don’t even need it 😭 . Got my visa without the police clearance. The embassy will also make this clear to you in the emails they sent before interview. So don’t waste that time and money getting police clearance if your spouse didn’t stay more than 12 months there. I’m happy I could help.- 16 replies

Did you later hear anything from the consulate? -
I just don’t get it man. If the fiancé is from UK, they won’t be working this hard I guess.

It’s crazy how people neglect the call for help and start saying rubbish that doesn’t make sense and still want OP to answer their stupid questions. She asked for help, and you guys are making her regret asking for help here. That’s why I won’t ask for help in this platform anymore. They act like they care but make fun of your problem, say and leave without giving a single help.
