Got my NVC letter and paid the fees! How long did it take others to do the DS-260? Is it something I really need to be cautious with and take a long time?
Compared to the previous stage, is the paperwork harder or easier? Kind of getting nervous now that soon i have to do all NVC stage paperwork 😬

In my experience, the NVC process is better than the Uscis stage, with less stress and they will check everything faster. But you have to check everything before submitting, remember to upload your W2 and all the required documents, if previously married, you have to upload the divorce decree. My husband and I filled up the Ds260 together in one afternoon, it took us like 3 hours. This stage is so much better!!!!! Relax, double check everything before submitting and you'll be ok. Good luck ❤️

I genuinely want to give everyone advice. If you have not heard back. CALL. THEM. CALL. THEM. you will literally hear back 2-3 days AFTER.

also, contact your congressman or woman. Trust me!!!

I got reviewed, approved, and then had an issue with my application that I filled out incorrectly and I got it fixed all under 3 weeks by CALLING.

    be nice.

Totally agree with you!! I genuinely think that my case got fast approval because I contacted my Representative, and he contacted USCIS. We got a fast answer and less than a month I got the approval.

Thank you so much. I will pray that your case goes even better and im sure it will, because mine was crazy complicated. If mine didn't go into real administrative processing and was simply them making the visa then im sure yours wont either. Good luck and God Bless.

Thank you very much!! I really appreciate you to take the time and explain the interview process, it helps a lot to have an idea.

I hope that our case gets a fast approval, so we can be together!! I can't wait!!

    Congratulations again!!!!!!!!!

  4. Thanks for the detailed answer, I thought that you as the petitioner were able to participate in the interview process, thanks for letting me know it's not possible.

Also Congratulations, if the officer told you that you're approved, I thinks its and approval and dthe administrative processing is them working on your visa.

A friend of mine was told that her case needed more review time, and she was under administrative process for a few months, but the officer never told her that she was approved.

I'm not experience but I think that in your case it is an approval. I'll be praying 🙏 for you. Please keep me posted. I'll do the same!!

I cannot believe my eyes but we just got the appointment letter email. almost exactly 4 months after DQ. Our appointment is a month and a half from now. So I am about to get busy getting everything ready now. Thanks guys for all your support!

Hello good morning!!! I'm wondering if you had your interview already, can you share your experience??? My husband's interview is next month.

Wow that is such a fast DQ! I am going to look into see how long it takes to get a police record as well as how long it is good for!

Thanks so much for your help!!

    You're welcome!!

Yes NVC is working relatively fast!! That's why is very important to have everything ready, to avoid an RFE

Now I'm waiting for the embassy

Hope you get the approval soon! 🙂

  7. I live here in the US so they requested only my husband’s police certificate, we had to upload 2,  one for his birth country and another one for his current country of residence.

They also requested birth certificate and translation if not in English

Marriage certificate (our visa category is CR1)

    Two passport-style pics

    Divorce decree

Affidavit of support + W2 and Taxes transcripts

We had to wait 2 whole weeks to upload because his police certificate was not ready 😔

Submission date December 27 DQ January 20

Oh boy. I didn't even check that part LOL Woops

Hope you both get your approval soon, this whole process is so difficult!!
Unrequested advice, gather all documents for the NVC stage, including W2, taxes transcripts, police certificate, and any other relevant doc, I know it's one step at a time, but having everything ready will save you time in the next stage.

I'm currently waiting for an interview appointment

Okay so our case status had never changed from "Your Case Has been Received and Receipt has been sent" until today. But it changed in the "Case History" section. Today it finally changed to "Case Is Being Actively Reviewed" with the date of June 23. So I went into Case History and now there are 6 lines in there with 2 different dates. What in the world is happening LOL

Check under documents tab, mine was approved after the second actively reviewed. If not approved yet, maybe sooner than expected

Curious as to what y'all sent in your emails to get a response.  When we were applying for a K-1 and were way outside of the normal timeline, our representative never replied to us.  Then again... Oklahoma.

You can try with your congressman, with me was the opposite, my congressman didn’t care but my representative helped me. Just filled up the online form in his website and told him about the long wait without any answer or update from uscis.

Wow! That's speedy! Do you have a sample of what you asked? I want to make sure it's worded properly haha

On my representative website there was a form that said Help with an agency or something similar, and it's like a form you have to fill up, with all case numbers and everything. And I told him that I wanted his help because my I130 was taking a long time to be approved and that I wanted to start a family with my husband, etc. Just told him a little bit about us and that it was frustrating having to wait x months just for the first part of the process.

I'm gonna try to find the filled form to show you, but I'm not sure if I have it, I filled everything into his website.

We’ve had a response from our congressman!

Thank you for contacting my office regarding

I-130 issue. I appreciate being made aware of your concerns and would be pleased to look into this matter.

Currently, I am in touch with the USCIS on your behalf. Please allow up to 30-45 days to receive a response.

As soon as I have their response, I will share the results with you.

Great!!! When I contacted mine they said the same but they answered within two weeks. It makes uscis to check your case, hopefully it’ll help you to get your case checked and  approved
