    Wow, I didn't know there was anything like a military expedite...I always thought all petitions will be processed in the order they are received by USCIS. Good luck to you.

    Only to those deploying, wish I had known about this before I did my deployment! But then again... we hadnt met yet :blush:

    I had SUCH a lovely surprise last night :) :) :)

    I was really down, and had waited up really late for my fiancé to finish work, and while we were talking on the phone I was so depressed about the whole thing - the process, the move, all the changes - just feeling so bad

    well, my fiancé says that he has 'a secret' (which he quickly follows up with 'not anything bad or anything' :lol: ) and it's this:

    he has been secretly colluding with my cousin, with whom I'm spending Christmas and New Year, and she has bought him a plane ticket as an early wedding present, so that he can arrive in Paris a few hours before we do (a couple of days after Christmas), and when we get off the Eurostar in the Gare Du Nord he'll be there waiting, and we'll have five days together in Paris over New Year :)

    my mood changed after THAT, I can tell you :lol:

    *so happy and excited*

    we'd pretty much resigned ourselves to not seeing each other til we meet in Aus, which is likely to be April, the way things are going... now that wait is pretty much split in half :)

    how lovely is my cousin, hey? :)

    :yes::yes::yes: M sooooooo happy for you :dance::dance::dance: also so jealous :P:P just coz I will not get to see Daniel till I get my visa (????) b'coz of his training that doesn't end till feb' 08 :(:(

    We got another touch on 11/28/2007 after the approval notice dated 11/20/2007.. We've already received our hard copy on 11/26/2007.. The Touch on 11/27/2007 says...

    Receipt Number: WACXXXXXXXXXX

    Application Type: I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

    On November 27, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

    Wonder what this could mean???...

    That means the case has been forwarded to NVC. You can call NVC at 202-663-1225 and ask for a case number.

    Thats good news :dance::yes: specially because ours is an expedite request!!! ;);)

    Thanks for your reply Jigi. Most of my queries were answered. I have some more questions

    1) In some posts in VJ, I saw some mentioned they received only one pkt(or pkt 3 and 4 together from the consulate). Will I get the 2 pkts together or separately?

    2) My fiance is coming down to India for vacation. So I will not be present in my address to which the embassy sends out pkt3. Should I be physically present in my address to receive the pkt or can any of my roomates/house owner receive it on my behalf?

    First time I am actually writing on an Indian forum :) .. Got me thinking, why I didn't do it before :unsure: .. I have a question.. :help::help:

    How long is a PCC valid for? When we filed our I-129 Petition, I got the PCC (passport office) and from the Police too. This was in may 2007.. Will they still be valid or should I get more recent ones??

    We got the news a few days ago that my honey has a deployment coming up :( This is the most disheartening news so far. I hope we can get the visa on time for us to get married and spend time together. Its just not something I was looking at right now. Please Please Pray for us. :(:(:(

    Petitioners in the military with upcoming deployments can request that their adjudication be expedited. You might want to look into that.

    yep, If I was you I'd seriously look into military expedite service.

    Thanks so much for all the congratulations. I know there is still interview and stuff to worry about but OMG it is such a weight lifted. We just wentout to celebrate to "the fox and hounds" THE best bar in the world. It's a traditional scottish village country bar with a lounge with log fires and it's own brewery. The restaurant only serves food that can be sourced within 20miles and they can tell you the name and age of the cow your steak from. Nick had a huge slab of aberdeen angus and I had phesant. I've been going there years with my family and the master brewery/owner asked why we were in on a Thursday and gave us our meal for free to celebrate.

    :dance::dance::dance: Congratulations!!! :dance::dance::dance: Been down with cold all week :( . This is really GOOD NEWS. Seems really close now....
